The staff were the best - very friendly and helpful! Really nice breakfast room open after hours, where you can hang out and drink some tea or an espresso drink from their machine. Our initial arrival was after their normal check in hours, but they left us clear instructions on using the lock box. The hotel is kept very clean and everything is in good working order. Good location, comparatively quiet, and walkable to train station and Duomo.

We stayed in the family suite which is in the basement (I think the only such room in the hotel), very spacious and interesting brick arches - perhaps converted from a wine cellar. The pictures posted by the hotel are accurate, and the room was clean, dry, and the air conditioning worked well and kept the room comfortable - but still no normal windows. Would definitely stay in the hotel again, just not in the basement suite.

Understanding that for this trip I searched for quirky, character accommodations, this hotel was that. There may be stairs to your room, the bathroom may be smaller, the furnishings a bit old school. But, you have to be willing to embrace that. Our room was up a flight of stairs, had a small balcony and was private away from the street noise. It was clean and freshened daily. Our host, Lorenzo, was great! He provided us with lots of helpful information, as well as answering our many follow-up questions.

As with all three accommodations we chose, I would have appreciated the toiletries including shampoo and conditioner. I'm also not sure why there were not tissues, only toilet paper. I did appreciate breakfast included, but would have liked more variety as we stayed there five nights. The location requires a little more walking distance from the main attractions, but we learned to adapt to that in all the places we visited.

We stayed in two rooms with our three teenagers. The one room was wonderful and located on a subfloor. It was the perfect respite from the oppressive heat of 103 degree Florence. There was a jetted tub and a Turkish bath in the room. I wish we had had time to enjoy them!! Breakfast was delicious, with pastries and yogurts and a beautiful machine that was available 24/7 to make fantastic coffee. The setting was an enclosed courtyard, magical and serene. The rooms were quirky in a good way and the hosts were attentive and helpful. The restaurant next door was our favorite in Florence, welcoming and with delicious local food.

Lorenzo firstly was the perfect host; warm, welcoming, always ready to help. Our room was amazing above the main office in a separate part of the B&B. Great sized room, fab comfortable bed, little balcony overlooking the courtyard, big bathroom. Tea making facilities in the room but more importantly a coffee machine in the breakfast area which was available 24x7 - such a great additional perk. Talking of breakfast - pastries, delicious croissants, juices, yogurt, cereal and continental option - everything to setup a day in Florence. Tip - if coming from the airport or train station - take the tram to a stop nearby and walk the 6mins rather than navigate Florence's tiny pavements.

Such a quirky find! This was a stunning and surprising stay. Our room was accessed via a private, well-maintained courtyard with bistro table for our use. The room was compact but loaded with character and quirkiness. It was well equipped with a stocked fridge and snack box. Breakfast was great and there was access to the dining area all day for additional tea/coffee. Superb location, approx 10 minutes from the Duomo 👍🏻

The room size was fairly small and crowded with furniture but understandable due to the age and nature of the building ( i believe it had been a jail pre WW1!)

Cozy, small and clean! Authentic and fascinating interior. Good Italian-style breakfast in a small romantic courtyard. Friendly and caring service. Excellent location! Just a few minutes walk from the main attractions of Florence’s old town. The location is also very convenient for those traveling by car, as parking is available (for an additional fee of €30 per night) in the nearby hotel’s parking area. Warm recommendations to everyone planning to enjoy a good night’s sleep and a pleasant atmosphere in Florence.

This was a wonderful find right in the heart of Florence. Near enough to walk easily to restaurants and the historical sites - but also beautifully quiet and slightly tucked away. Lorenzo was so friendly and helpful - brilliant at giving us ideas on great places to eat. It was good to get an opinion from someone who was born and bred in the city. I loved the building - it is pre WWII and had a beautiful feel, tastefully decorated - lots of stone floors, high ceilings and lovely furniture. Our bed was very comfortable - an absolute must for me - so that alone earns the host great score. Breakfasts were simple - self serve coffee - good and strong - with freshly put together croissant and a few other bits and what was lovely is they were taken in a courtyard garden. Great shower - lovely pressure. There was a TV but we didn't use it. Really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return if in Florence. Highly recommend.

There is nothing that we did not like.

The room was nice, plenty of room with a deck to the inside courtyard. The weather was rather wet so we didn't use it. The stairs going to the room were a bit of a surprise as all other rooms were on the ground floor. The location was good as away from the busy areas and plenty of good places to eat close by. Lorenzo was a great help with anything that we asked.

The placement of our room is through the office where people go to use the coffee machine so it was a bit noisy later at night when people were using it. We were supposed to get breakfast but we think some other guest may have taken ours but when I told Lorenzo he made good and gave us a ticket to go to a cafe close by for breakfast, which was really good and very thoughtful.

Excellent location, great host. He recommended restaurants and the market which were just what we wanted. We took his advice and visited the Boboli gardens which were lovely even on a damp day and gave a sense of perspective over this wonderful but intense city. We had a comfortable bed and good quality bedding. The bed was tidied for us daily.The little courtyard at the hotel is pretty and it was very quiet. Unlimited tea coffee or water was nice.

Well the room was rather cramped and dark and the windowless bathroom was so narrow! A good thing we are not big people! We felt the breakfast was not great and it had to be eaten out of a cardboard box and it was almost exactly the same every day.

The service was outstanding. Anything we needed was taken care of asap and the breakfast provided was exceptional. We had issues with our previous hotel and they helped us with the language barrier in order to resolve it. Would 100% stay again.

The only issue that we had was the temperature of the water in the bathroom. The water could have been warmer, but this was a minor issue and would not stop us from staying again.
