Everything about our stay exceeded expectations! The location was unbeatable — we were able to walk to all the main attractions, including the Duomo and Michelangelo’s David, which made exploring the city effortless and enjoyable. What truly stood out was the exceptional service. The reception staff particularly Judith went above and beyond to make our stay smooth and memorable, helping us with everything from train routes to Pisa to making us feel right at home. Their attention to detail really made a difference. The room (Junior Suite) was ideal for our family — beautifully appointed and comfortable, with plenty of space for both kids to relax. It had a warm, homely vibe while still feeling boutique and stylish. Breakfast was a highlight each morning — fresh, local, and indulgent. The chocolate croissant was delicious, and the pastries were always warm and flaky — a perfect start to our sightseeing-filled days. Even the small touches were appreciated — from help with ironing to local recommendations. The nearby parking garage was convenient, though a small note for electric car users: the charger is quite slow, so plan accordingly. Overall, this was a flawless stay that combined location, comfort, and genuinely thoughtful service. We’d return in a heartbeat and would recommend it to anyone traveling to Florence — especially families looking for a central yet serene spot.

The hotel and reception staff were excellent. The hotel is positioned in the perfect place to visit all the main attractions. The breakfast was fine, the staff could have been more welcoming and should ask if you want tea, coffee etc on arrival. They was trying very hard not ask you if you would like a drink and lots of people had to prompt them. Other people came in from a different parts of the world (maybe from their culture) and they was asked straight away what they would like. So sorry to say not equal. Otherwise the breakfast was very good.

Not being asked on arrival for breakfast if we wanted a hot drink bearing in mind you could not do your own drinks in the breakfast room.

Staff members were all nice, Judith & Ana (reception) & the very nice, jolly lady at the breakfast place. Room size was good, we were a group of 3 and there’s enough space for us and luggages.

A bit far from SMN Station. If you plan on walking from SMN to the hotel, a little challenging as the streets are a bit tight

Located very close to lots of piazzas and great restaurants, including the San Lorenzo market/piazza. Breakfast was phenomenal! One of the best we had throughout our Italian travels. Lovely hotel and grounds overall, except disappointingly a broken fountain in the center of the garden.

The shower has a very narrow glass partition, leaving most the shower open, and therefore you are freezing the whole time you are taking a hot shower. Also, water gets everywhere in the bathroom floor. Very inefficient design. The beds were rock hard. Very uncomfortable! Lastly, most of the hotel staff was quite nice, but one lady in particular was extremely difficult about our request to have ice brought to our room and tried denying us a free bottle of water on our third night, when we had received it our previous two.

They did a wonderful job renovating the rooms. I liked the black and white photos of statues and famous buildings in the room and common areas. The decor is very chic and the bed is comfortable. Nice and quiet room for a good night’s sleep. Receptionist to the waitress at breakfast and even the maids are all super friendly. Makes for a very welcoming feeling. As in past reviews, breakfast is very good. Breakfast served in a nice sunroom /patio area. They have a nice selection of deli meats: ham, mortadella, salami, cheeses, small mozzarella cheese balls, and wonderful small tomatoes. There are boiled and scrambled eggs, bacon, fresh bread, rolls, croissants, cakes, and pies. For the healthy people, fresh whole fruit, yogurt, nuts, and fresh squeezed juice. A variety of coffees and teas brought to your table. Our waitress even brought our cappuccino over where she made a smiley face in the foam. Made it to breakfast every single day. Easy walking distance to the Duomo or Uffizi. Carrefour market and laundry 1-2 blocks away. Overall, a super pleasant stay in Florence.

Excellent location we were able to walk to the majority of attractions we visited. Breakfast was great, has something for everyone. Rooms were of a great size with a wonderful shower. The front desk staff really stood out to me, they all had such wonderful, genuine customer care. Gave us great advice of where to eat. They were so friendly in every way. The staff that work at this hotel are a true asset. I really thank them for making our stay a special one.

The front desk and dining room staff were very welcoming, friendly and highly efficient. Terrific service from both. The Filipino staff member and the lady from Slovenia were very helpful. The staff in the dining room were also terrific! Made us feel very welcome. Facilities and location excellent. I’d recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Florence. Very close to attractions of the city but quietly away from the very busy tourist crowds. Very close to public transport including to the airport is a great plus.

I suggest provi doing complimentary bottles of water each day. The provision of just one bottle for the duration of our stay and considering the high cost of the room is really not adequate.

Lovely hotel with lovely staff. We spent 4 glorious nights here. Francesco and the ladies were most helpful from the moment of arrival to checkout. The breakfast staff were equally as helpful and packed us a complete "to-go" breakfast for the next day as we had to set off for an early morning tour. This hotel was well rated in one of my Italy tour guides from 2004 and I happened to book this hotel not knowing that! It has lived up to its reputation and is a true gem. There is also a lovely family run Trattoria San Gallo just 100 metres away. The owner Emanuela is very friendly, great food with good price performance and has a lovely puppy! Apart from a few minor issues with the bathroom door and sink, everything else was flawless. Cleanliness was top notch and even the friendly housekeeping staff appeared dedicated to the job.

Friendly and helpful staff, the hotel is classy and kept very clean. The breakfast was also excellent with good coffee. Our room was clean with an excellent shower and good hairdryer. The hotel is located about 5 minute walk away from the accadamia gallery and 15 minutes walk from the main train station. The hotel called us a taxi to take us to the airport which took under 30 mins and cost 33 euro. Overall a great hotel I would recommend to friends.

We visited in late November so the outside temperature was cold, the hotel was extremely hot. Our room was really hot and we couldn't get the air con unit to work. We should have asked for help, I'm sure they would have helped.
