We had a lovely stay at Hotel Jane. The hotel's style is very old-fashioned, but everything is functional and nothing feels outdated. The hotel's location is in a pretty peaceful street, only a 15-minute walk away from the city center. The staff was very friendly, professional and speaks English very well. The size of the room and its facilities were as expected (everything was just as it was in the photos). The cleansiness was definitely the best part of our stay along with a very decent breakfast.

We booked a room with balcony, but our room was on the ground floor and the balcony was shared with another room, so it wasn't a private balcony.

Hotel is located about 20 min. on foot to Piazza del Duomo in quite and safety neighbourhood with nice local restaurants and bars. Room was well equipped, tidy and cosy. Hotel staff was friendly, nice and helpful. Breafast was tasty with a lot of local accents and good quality food.

Rooms are not sound proof. You can hear everything from corridor and other rooms (really: all kind of noices)... Room was pretty small - enough for one person, for two - can be difficault. During breafast slots sometimes is a bit crowdy, and serivce is qute slow and not effective (no clean tables, not enough food).

I have stayed at hotel Jane only one night, but I pondered whether to stay one more, it was so cosy and the staff was so nice! Big smiles and lovely chats with the receptionist Valeria. The buffet breakfast was rich, there was a literal chunk of honeycomb on the buffet table and a focaccia to die for, plus the usual continental and sweet options. The room was clean and the bathroom newly refurbished, shower pressure was a dream and the toiletries are from a local organic brand. Bed is comfy, PITCH BLACK at night (I forgot my sleep mask and I did not feel it one bit). I got lucky enough to get a room with a terrace I'd have used A LOT more if I stayed longer. All in all genuinely one of the most impressive random hotel stays I've had! I will be staying again when I'm back to Florence. Grazie mille!

The location is decent, about a 30-minute walk from the city center. It’s situated in a quiet and friendly neighborhood, which makes it a pleasant area to relax after a day of exploring. However, the distance might be inconvenient for those who prefer to stay closer to the main attractions. Overall, the experience was positive. It’s not a luxurious option, but it’s a solid choice for budget-conscious travelers who value cleanliness and a peaceful atmosphere.

Comparing the hotel prices in city center, Hotel Jane’s location is very good and its prices are reasonable. Attractions are 15-20 minutes by walking. There is a park with a lovely playground near the hotel (5-6 minutes by walking) which makes the hotel a great choice for families with little children. The staff are friendly, helpful and welcoming. The breakfast is very rich. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. The shower is new. Minibar is pretty cheap. Facilities are quiet and peaceful. There are very nice restaurants nearby.

They could have provide disposable slippers.

Most of all we appreciated the staff of the hotel. They were very polite, smiling, they were all speaking english and helped us with any information we asked. They made suggestions on where to go in Fireneze and how to move around. They helped us park our car and made our stay there better! The room was very clean and nice. The bed was good and big enough for 2 adults (double bed). We had a window that made the room brighter. The WC was clean and we had fresh towers every day. The room aslo included a mini bar and a coffee station.

The walls were thin so you could hear the discussions from the next room if they were louder.

Nice hotel, staff members were really polite and helpful. The breakfast was good and had enogh options, even got coffee from the bar. The reception area and the place for serving the breakfast were also confy and cute. Clean room. Elevator available.

The only problem was the small bathroom with a sliding door, which made the space even smaller. Very few/no space to put your personal stuff to get ready in the mirror. But we had an economy room and for two night it was fine.

The front desk staff at the hotel were amazing. The two lovely ladies at the front went out of their way to help us with parking at the front of the hotel as my spouse had some mobility issues. Unfortunately, our leased car, a Citroen C4, was deemed too big (!!) for the space in front of the hotel and we were given directions to the parking lot. We found out in many places in Italy, with a Canadian disabled parking permit, you can park for free or get a discount at many parking lots. The front desk ladies also made a reservation at a nearby non-touristic restaurant for our dinner. We had our heart set on Bistecca alla Fiorentina and the restaurant did not disappoint. The hotel is just on the edge of the historical area of Florence which makes it easy to access the area. Our ground floor room was very comfortable and had a little balcony, which was shared with the room next door. The breakfast was served in a lower level next to a garden and the food was great. There was a wonderful selection of fresh sweet and savory items.

I think our very compact bathroom did not have a handheld shower head. I love having a hand held unit and they were available in most of the European hotels we stayed in.

Shower with good pressure, cheap breakfast, nice staff, safe location, a lot of storage and hangers in the room, big bed.

The duvet doesn't have a cover, which is quite unhygienic, since guests share the same duvet without any kind of cover that can be washed. Since I didn't feel confortable sleeping with this duvet, there's only a thin sheet available, which is not the ideal on winter. Additionally, there was no streaming option on my tv, I believe it was an older model than advertised on the booking.

The hotel is pretty simple and basic but super clean and has everything you need - I can appreciate the small details like the shower gel that actually smells really nice, the well-functioning AC, hooks for hanging clothes or bags, proper pressure in the shower, generously sized bath towels etc. The staff is super nice and helpful and the breakfast was good - had a good selection of sweet and savoury. The coffee needs to be improved though, we expect better coffee from you, Italy! :-) The location is a bit far from the city center but we knew where we booked so we expected it and accepted it. The street was really quiet so no noise outside at night.
