We had a wonderful stay at Marta Guest House! From the moment we arrived, Giorgio and Marta's hospitality and friendliness made us feel right at home. They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect, providing excellent recommendations and always being available to assist with any needs. The Italian breakfasts were fantastic, with a delightful selection of fresh pastries, fruits, and coffee that made each morning a treat. The unique interior decoration of the house added a special charm to our stay, making it feel cosy and inviting. The location is also ideal, with easy access to all the main attractions. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. I highly recommend Marta Guest House to anyone looking for a memorable and enjoyable experience.

What a great place. Georgio went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and valued. He gave us information about places to eat, visit. When we were let down for our transport from the train station he came at very short notice to get us. The breakfast was lovely and a good selection available to choose from. My recommendation would be if you are staying at this lovely place please have your own transport, we didn’t and used public transport , easy if you want to get a bus to Lucca but a lot more difficult to get to the train station and Airport.

We had a wonderful 4 night stay at Marta Guest House. If you’re looking for a homey, quiet, comfortable villa in the Tuscan hills this is it! Close drive to Lucca but is located in the quiet countryside. Restaurants and pasticceria around the corner. If you’re into hiking, be sure to do Dante’s pass behind the villa. It has an amazing view of the valley, Lucca, Pisa and the sea in the distance. Marta and her son Georgio work very hard to make your stay comfortable and personal. The breakfast they put on are amazing! Home made and change daily. We always looked forward to coming down to see what they had the next day. The other staff like kitchen help/room clean also work hard. If we come back to the area we will definitely book at Marta’s again!!

Beautiful house, lovingly restored. Great spacious bedroom with a big balcony overlooking the garden. Very copious breakfast with the opportunity to taste Marta's specially-prepared local specialities, both sweet and savoury. Marta also provided lots of useful advice about interesting places to visit nearby which you wouldn't necessarily think of.

Not really a negative point, but just to point out that an 8.30 start for breakfast is late for anybody who wants to leave and go visiting early. But then Marta's breakfasts do demand a lot of preparation and it's an experience (food, service and environment) that you wouldn't want to miss!

We slept in a unit that is near the main house, so things might be different in the rooms... but in the unit, the beds/ sofa weren't so comfortable. The hot water were not enough for the whole family. Wifi connection was pretty low.

The breakfast was amazing. Marta and her staff made delicious fresh cakes and savories each morning. When it was fine we could eat in the garden. The food was very fresh and we enjoyed delicious local dishes. Our host, Marta, is very friendly and did everything to make our stay perfect. Each morning she would help us plan our day and even produced beach towels and an umbrella when we planned to go to the beach. It is a beautifully kept house and in a great location as it is quiet and about 20 minutes drive to Lucca. There are plenty of places to eat out in the village in the evening. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can't recommend it highly enough.

Marta and her associates were just amazing. They were very accommodating for our late check-in and we liked every bit of our stay. The rooms were cleaned every day with new towels. The breakfast prepared by the team was fulfilling and it was a kickstart to our trips around Pisa and Florence. We would love to come back again.

Installing a shower divider would enhance the bathroom experience by containing water within the shower area, thus keeping the rest of the bathroom dry and minimising cleanup efforts.

The decorations and furniture are chosen with much thought and love, makes the whole house so charming and comfortable - also the hosts are very nice and so helpful. Breakfast was plenty with some home made variations every day. Great Italian coffee. Free fresh and ice cold water to take to the room. Just a cozy and clean feeling, with a great location to visit the Lucca/Pisa area

One of the highlights was the delicious diversified and fresh breakfast served each morning, providing the perfect start to the day. Location of Marta Guest House was perfect, allowing easy access to these incredible destinations in Tuscany: Old City of Lucca, Pistoia, Valley of Garfagnana with beautiful scenery, small village of Montecatini Alto. Thanks to Marta recommendation we avoid crowd on Cinque Terre. Thanks again for everything.
