The suitable place choice in Matera was not easy, but when I saw pictures from Paola appartment I didn't hesitate for a moment! Interior furnishing of this house real treat for lovers of authentic design the 50-60s of the last century.and historical heritage of this region. History of european design mixed here with the unusual atmosphere of the town and Paola she is a good spirit of this place. This is perfect clean appartment. The simple but elegant breakfast complemented superbly furnished apartment. A wonderful view of the Sassi, canion and roofs old city. It’s the perfect starting point to explore the wonders of Matera.

What a wonderful stay ! Limen was an absolute delight from start to finish . Paula was a wonderful hostess who obviously gains great pleasure in meeting and looking after her guests . The accommodation is stylishly retro. Breakfasts were substantial and served around a large table , resulting in a wonderful atmosphere , where everyone chatted and shared experiences . The location is perfect , with views of the Sassi . We couldn’t have asked for more . Matera and Paula will hold many fond memories for us . Thank you Paula .

Paola’s home is very unique. Her husband is an architect and everything in this apartment is very stylish and carefully curated. Me and our friends loved staying there. The apartment is fully equipped. They even had a milk frotter and coffee machine in the kitchen, wich was really nice, because you can make your own cappuccino. There was paid car parking right across the street wich was very convenient for us. Communication with Paola was also very nice and I definitely recommend staying in Limen Matera Guesthouse.

Matera is NOT an easy place to navigate in a vehicle. The facility suggests free parking nearby which is an impressive bonus. Our hostess Paola was unstoppable - providing advice, guidance, warmth AND a magnificent breakfast. The guesthouse is a short meander from the original "sassi" yet is well-positioned for easy access or exit to the city. Should one need to cross into the modern city, the bus system passes right by. We felt "at-home" in this comfortable property.

The host Paola is just amazing! Her vibrant personality and welcoming nature really made us feel at home. Both my partner and I are vegan and she went out of her way to get us vegan croissants and focaccia for breakfast. Paola there is a reason every guest mentions you in their review, you are the best! The home is also really central it’s so easy to get to all of the main attractions, we also had our best night sleep here.

Only thing I would say is you can’t have much of a sleep in the morning as you will be woken up quite early by all the other guests having breakfast however this isn’t an issue if you’re planning to be up to start your day which most people on holiday are!

We loved everything about Limen! The room was beautiful, clean and comfortable. Our room had a balcony overlooking the old town - an amazing view. The location was perfect - easy walking distance to the old town and many restaurants, but nice and peaceful. Paola was the most wonderful host. She gave us so much information, provided a delicious breakfast and was generally just great to chat to! We loved our stay and would come back in a heartbeat.

The property was lovely, comfortable and had a cool mid century modern vibe, with unique decor. Exceptional attention to detail, spotlessly clean. The Host, Paola, was wonderful… she went above and beyond, she was very helpful at check-in. She communicated before we arrived. Explained everything we should know where to park etc. and answered any questions we had. The location was perfect, there was free parking across the road… and the location was in great proximity to everything. Paola put out a beautiful breakfast each morning we stayed. Everything was served on lovely plates and silver cutlery… the food was delicious, fresh every morning from the bakery, focaccia, fresh bread was amazing, she put out tomatoes with olive oil, spices and fresh basil, fruit, beautiful cheeses, and assortment of croissant and pastries. (which were something I will not forget!!!) yogurt, cereal, jams and Nutella. She made espresso and Americanos for us, there were many juices offered. (There was also a large assortment of teas and instant coffees for use at anytime). It’s the extra details that really make the difference. I would highly recommend, it was a great experience from beginning to end!!!

Beautiful room with a balcony offering a lovely view on the historic city. Paola made this stay unforgettable! Nevertheless , the rooms were also a real treat! We had a very tastfully decorated, modern, and superclean room with a great view over the mountains and sassi that let us dig into the holiday feeling right away. The breakfast was offering fresh savory as well as sweet dishes and was served in a common area where we could have fantastic chats with other guests. We followed all of Paola's cultural, shopping, and dining recommendations and were not left disappointed. All in all, we felt like home and wish Paola and Limen all the best! Grazie mille ♡

MUST VISIT! The apartment is very beautiful, clean and nicely structured. You get a magnificent view over the whole historic part of the city. The area is not too busy, away from tourist, but still in proximity to the most beautiful places. Parking is free and close to the apartment. Dogs are welcome. The owner Paola is extremely kind and helping, she has the kindest and purest soul. She decorated the apartment very well.

we had a very good stay here. very tastefully decorated. the room was spacious. there was a kettle and a fridge. lots of sockets. very good pillows. great bathroom. nice towels and bedding. nice shower gel. great air conditioning. location is great - a short walk to the center and free parking options. great communication with the host. would definitely stay here again.

the room was quite loud (noise from the street and from the hallway). the bed was very soft. a cabinet with drawers (for socks, etc) would be great. it is on the third floor, so not great for people with mobility issues.
