Breakfast on the roof overlooking the Mattera gorge A chance to improve my Italian . I got a 10 minute introduction to the must see sights of Materra from the father ..broken English and , from me, even more broken Italian. It was fun ! Materra.. its a gem and one of the highlights of Italy.

A little tricky to find but initial problems very quickly resolved.

Amazing property with very nice hosts. The room is very clean, light and comfortable. The rooftop view is amazing. We had a very nice stay. Even though the hosts don’t speak good English they try as hard as possible to give you tips and help you.

Everything was better than in the photos.

Spend 2 nights in Matera. We travelled by car, so parking was very important for us. Unit was in a quiet street, with parking right outside. Everything was in walking distance. Had breakfast on the roof terrace. All good

Sister's Love is fabulous. Giuseppe, the owner, is a great host. He doesn't speak much English, but somehow, we were able to communicate. The Matera sites are an easy walk; less than 10 minutes. Breakfast is light. However, the view from the terrace overlooking Matera is stunning.

Sisters Love is a nice place to stay for those that enjoy affordable accommodation that offers a distinctive and unique experience. The rooms are comfortable, clean and functional. It is just a short walk to the old part of town and nearby cafes, restaurants and historical points of interest. A family run business, the father Giuseppe, is quite a character who brought us a pastry and coffee to our room each morning for breakfast. We enjoyed our stay in Matera and are happy to recommend Sisters Love to the more budget minded traveller.

Everything.Communication,very clean,well set out,location to old city perfect. Juice,coffee and croissant for breaky with an amazing view. Salvo as very helpful.

If you are coming by bus get a taxi to accomadation,it's 3km but bit uphill. 40deg when we arrived. But not big deal

We stayed 3 nights. The property is in a little cul-de-sac just off the main road and there is some free parking outside, so our car was safe. It is just about 10 minutes walk to the main squares and the start of the sassi. Giuseppe our host was amazing - really friendly and welcoming- he advised us on the best places to visit to make the most of our short stay. We had a lovely room with a little balcony. Breakfast was served on the roof terrace overlooking the town and the surrounding hills. Each day we had a different Italian pasty with tea or coffee. Giuseppe taught us a lot about the local area and history. He also provided free information booklets and bottles of water. We had a fabulous time. Matera is amazing- so much to see and do. You really need at least 3 days there. We will definitely visit again.

Breakast could use some improvements. It was very simple. The host brings you 1 coffe and 1 pasticciotto (a small sweet cake with cream inside) and nothing else. No juice, no bread, no cheese, no fruit.

Very friendly staff. Nice view from the rooftop / breakfast restaurant and very close to the old city center. They show you where the free parking is (at 300m walking)

The address is different from the address mentioned at the site. They inform you in one of the separate messages. Keep in mind that the staff speaks mainly italian.

It was in a great location and the owners were very lovely and helpful. The breakfast was on the roof terrace with a great view of Matera.

The air conditioning was not included in the price and we had to pay €5 a night for it.
