We stayed in The Duomo suite on the ground floor, which was spacious and included a beautiful garden terrace with seating provided and a lovely green living-wall screen. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom also spacious. Breakfast was excellent with a wide range of cereals, breads and seasonal summer fruits including mango and papaya were available. There were lots of cold meats and cheeses for buffet service. Hot food was also available and the coffee was great! In the evening, we very much appreciated the happy hour free first drink at the hotel bar too! The hotel is ideally located centrally in Milan and within easy walking distance of the beautiful Duomo cathedral, the Sforza Castle and the fashionable streets of Milan. The tram and metro stops are also very close by. All the Reception staff and the manager were very helpful. They also contacted an excellent taxi company Milano Transfer (https://milanotransfer.eu/)for us to use for our travels to the airport and also to Lake Como during our stay. We would certainly highly recommend staying at Hotel Milano Castello.

Location was perfect for all things shopping and seeing the main sites. 2 minute walk to the Milan Castle 5 minutes to Duomo 10 minutes to Santa Maria del Grazie (Last Supper)

No restaurant apart from small breakfast area which is fine as there are plenty of eateries nearby but the bar area was pretty sparse. Couldn’t turn the heating down or get the air conditioning working so room was like an oven

The staff members were extremely helpful every time I went to ask a question or for help with getting a cab, etc. The breakfast was excellent, had enough healthy choices of fresh fruit, yogurt, and bread even for someone like me who needs gluten free food. The location is perfect, easy to get to the Duomo and attractions as well as Porta Garibaldi train station.

It would be nice if an electric kettle was provided in the room for morning coffee or tea. However, when I asked for one, they were very nice to give it to me to bring to my room.

Breakfast was amazing, above and beyond expectations, I can say best breakfast we’ve ever had around Europe. Perfect location (3-5mins walking to Duomo), very clean rooms, friendly staff, in summary they have all you need! They have a deal with very close convenient parking place (24hours was 25EUR instead of standard 38EUR charge) which you need let them know in advance since availability might be limited.

We stayed for two nights in February. Although we booked a double room, we got upgraded to a suite with a private garden, which was very nice. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is very good too. I’ll definitely go back again.

We really liked that everything was within walking distance. Duomo was (maximum) 10 minutes away. Breakfast was very good with Fresh fruits, eggs etc. staff was helpful, we even got a bigger room! We will stay here again definitely!

Can’t say anything bad about the hotel.

Hotel grounds - most notably the walled private courtyard - were exceptional. Staff were also exceptional, friendly, and most helpful. The breakfast was outstanding ('fancy' coffee like expresso and latte are available - just ask the breakfast attendant). Hotel is just a 2 minute walk from Via Dante where a number of excellent sidewalk restaurants - and excellent people watching - await you, and is an easy walk to all central attractions. Hotel offers a free drink from the bar every night 6...9 - and not just 'wine or beer' - there's an extensive list including many cocktails - and the size of the drinks we had was very generous. Even if you don't drink alcohol, go there and have a water just to meet the bartender - he will brighten your day :-)

Even the worst hotel typically has coffee in the room - given that you excelled in every other area, I found it odd that you do not offer any coffee in the room. You could at least offer self-serve instant coffee and hot water in the breakfast or bar area on a 24/7 basis so that people like me (jet lagged and waking up at 4am) could go have a coffee while waiting for breakfast to start.

Excellent location - right at the heart of the city and within walking distance to almost all of Milan’s key tourist sites. Decent breakfast spread too and good sound insulation. Reliable wifi accessibility

Two small issues….get some rubber pads or paddings for those heavy chairs in the rooms. They create a lot of noise when moved around and can be a bother to one’s neighbours. Next, the gym is a small space but even with that space you can do more to upgrade it. Change that outdated multipurpose machine - it’s completely useless - get a newer smith machine - your guest will appreciate it ! Special mention to staff Georgia for her hospitality - thanks

Excellent location, very clean, perfect for a 2 day city break since it was centrally located. Very modern inside with lovely rainfall showers and comfortable beds.

Everything about the stay was perfect except right at the end when I needed to checkout but there was no one on reception. I was chased by the waitress from the breakfast room shouting something in Italian. She couldn’t use the computer, or speak to me since I don’t speak Italian, so she stood there huffing and tutting at the desk. I had a tour I was late for so just said I have to go and left.
