This hotel is ideally placed to explore the fascinating city of Pisa. There is so much more here than the leaning tower (although this is well worth climbing!). Situated in the lovely maze of medieval streets, this super hotel is quite traditional with amazingly helpful staff. Nothing was too much trouble and they made our stay so easy, providing lots of logistical help and advice, booking very reliable taxis for us and even providing umbrellas when there was a downpour. We felt well looked after, the hotel is very clean and the room (family room for 4) was very spacious indeed.

This hotel is so thoughtfully managed. I have stayed here two years in a row now, and my recent trip to Pisa was partly chosen knowing that I could count on this wonderful hotel. It's really a gem! While chain hotels can also offer good experiences, I must say that the family-owned and operated nature of this Hotel make a huge difference for me. The staff are engaged and attentive. They even had an extra plug adapter I could borrow. The rooms are comfortable and clean. If you're looking for amenities like a pool or fitness, this is not your place but if you want all the basics perfectly covered, with seamless interactions with staff and great location, then Hotel di Stefano is ideal. I highly recommend this place! Location is convenient, and breakfast was lovely. They have a coffee bar, and roof terrace too.

Location was great, lovely little place with a great staff. I was very comfy here.

Continental breakfast was OK. Personally, I missed having eggs, so I just went for muesli and coffee.

The hotel was well located for the main attractions and restaurants in Pisa and about 20 minutes from the central train station. The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful, the room spacious and very clean though the walls were quite thin and noise travelled between rooms. Breakfast was great with decent choice and high quality produce. Overall a great choice and would certainly recommend.

Noise from people in next room could be clearly heard. Kettle and tea/ coffee making facilities in room would have been great, but recognise that many European hotels do not have this facility.

I travelled to Pisa for the Marathon and was a bit anxious about the language barrier, however when arriving the staff were very friendly even with my limited knowledge of Italian. The room was very clean and had everything I needed for my 2 night stay. Location was great, 5 minute walk away from the Leaning Tower and subsequently that is where the Marathon start and finishes. Lots of good amenities about, supermarkets, restaurants Cafe's etc... Room was quiet so slept well both nights. Breakfast was simple but plenty there to kick start your day.

My only minor issue was the shower wasn't very warm, though for me personally I didn't mind as it woke me up and ready for the Marathon however I could see other guests not being happy about that.

I picked this hotel on location to Pisa Tower, and cleanliness - both did not disappoint. Pisa located at 10 min walk. Roof top terrace is lovely and great view. Comfy clean room, friendly staff.

Personal taste would have been to have a greater selection at breakfast - something warm like eggs and bacon (had that in the previous hotel on our trip), and some cut up fruit - ie strawberries/melon/berries. Also would have been good to have hot drink making facilities in the room.

Hotel is a 20 minute walk from the train station and crossing the Arno river - it is also a good way to get a glimpse of Pisa. On the other hand the hotel is only 5 minutes away from the Miracle square which was the main purpose of our visit. We were able to walk freely to the square on the evening we arrived and again the next day. Hotel is basic, but clean and sufficient for the purpose of our trip. Staff is helpful, rooms are clean, breakfast is very good and the coffee was amazing! Thank you very much for having us!

Nothing really, hotel was what we expected and even better.

A lovely family-run boutique hotel in the historical heart of Pisa. The building stands where there was a medieval tower, and parts of the hotel conserve this timeless aspect. Breakfast (excellent and bountiful) is served in a vaulted hall. The family who run the hotel do it with passion, and were great hosts. Our room was spacious, delightfully warm and comfortable. The hotel is the perfect base to savour Pisa and get steeped in its history.

Super charming, 7 minutes from the tower, several restaurants and cafes nearby. The bed was very comfortable and the room fairly quiet.

The flight of stairs to the top floor. The rooms without lift access should have that information stated. I was fine but it might be a problem for people with injuries or other conditions. Breakfast was a bit underwhelming (but the expectations were high because it’s Italy and there’s good food and coffee everywhere.
