I can recommend Hotel Balilla. It is well located for Termini station and has pleasant local restaurants within a short distance. The hotel is in a calm area with no noticeable noise, staff are friendly and helpful, and the rooms perfectly adequate. There is a supermarket and a launderette about 5 minutes away, which proved extremely handy due to a leak in one of our bags which almost ruined a number of clothes and was only discovered on the very first evening of a two week holiday. You don't know you need these facilities in easy reach until you really need them!

The hotel is pretty and cozy and it gives you a nice feeling of privacy and safety. The room was very clean, equipped and the staff was very kind and helpful, the owner even gave us a little treat for the road after we check-out, really appreciated that! There are small restaurants nearby, the hotel is ~ 10-15mins walking distance from Termini Train Station, very convenient. Very good value for the money. If you land on Fiumicino Airport, we recommend you to take the train to get here. *If you're planning to visit Rome around 20-30th of June, check when the Festa di via Balilla is happening. If you love a nice street party, this is your place! If you'd love a good night sleep and want to book this place, consider to adjust the dates.

Not that we didn't like - but check the reception hours before booking! It's open until 11 PM. We panicked a bit, but we made it in time, 30' before closing. But if our plane had been delayed even for 15', we wouldn't have arrived in time for check-in. The owner, the receptionist are very nice and kind, this is their policy, we respect that, but it's good to think about that if you already have a late flight.

Firstly the stuff was so friendly- they even let us leave luggages since our bus was leaving later that night. They were also very kind to give us some great advices, offered us umbrella when it was raining and always so sweet and with a smile! Location was also very nice, close to all main attractions, around 20 minutes from Colosseum. Room itself had comfortable beds, was very quiet and the heating and warm water were all working perfectly fine.

Everything was almost perfect- if i had to add something bad then maybe towels and blankets that didn't smell so clean. Other then that, everything was amazing, especially for the money.

We liked the staff; they were very welcoming and always smiling. The room was cleaned daily, it was nice and clean, the Wi-Fi was good, and there was hot water. A location close to many tourist attractions.👍🏻

Check-in is strictly until 11:00 AM 😃, there is no self-check-in or late check-in beyond this time. Our flight was delayed, and we almost didn’t make it in time for check-in. The bed had only a thin blanket, not a thick one But the room was not cold. Despite these drawbacks, it was still a good stay for us.

The staff is awesome!! Jovan (sorry, don’t know the spelling) was very helpful, the advice on events and food was great! The other gentleman (I can’t remember his name) was also friendly and helpful. The staff made the experience more enjoyable. Not direct at the hotel, at first I was leary about the area but I enjoyed how accessible the place was for walking and using the Metro, bus and trams. The room was cleaned everyday, air conditioning was great as it was so hot.

Maybe a kettle in each room would be helpful. But the staff was gracious enough to provide cup of hot water when asked.

Price, location, neighborhood, staff, cleanliness

Hot water has it's own life, sometimes it's warm, sometimes not, pressure is bad, shower head was broken and staff didn't fix it during our stay. Of course, hotel response will be that I am lying :)

Location was good about 10 min walk from Termini station (would not recommend with luggage though) 20 min walk to colosseum and multiple metro stations nearby. Staff were helpful and the room was decent for the price.

Room was quite small and bed not the most comfortable. Shower was not the best, the shower head was not in the best condition. Not the nicest area around the hotel.

The room was ultra quiet, and on a cute little side street with easy access to the train station and cafes. The hotel owner and staff were so friendly and helpful. The bathroom door squeaked the first night, and we asked about it and it was fixed the next night. We hear NOTHING in our room and slept peacefully. The owner also told us where to find Maritozzi over by the Vitorio Emanuel Park: Pasterrie Regali. And our room was on the top floor by the veranda, which was gorgeous with a great view of Roman ruins. Breakfast was I expensive and tasty, and we were able to leave our luggage downstairs after we checked out since our train did not leave until later in the day. Everyone spoke English, and were very kind. We would definitely stay here again!! 20 stars!

The hotel is close to Roma Termini, we use 514 tram to arrive metro. In a few minutes you can be where ever you want in Rome by metro A or B. Hotel was clean and people was so helpfull and warm. The hotel and the roads were in safe that could be walked along the street.

No any kind of coffee or tea kind of hot drinks at the rooms.

Hotel Balilla was located close to Roma Termini and Bus/ Tram connections are available. If you want to take a walk, then it is possible as well. Also the hotel response to my check-in and check-out request was very prompt. Maintained very cleanly and stay was pretty comfortable. There is a super market nearby for any urgent needs, and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in this hotel.

I have absolutely no concerns in my stay. All were good.
