The property was a little gem. Perfect location with its own garden and pool. We loved our balcony for morning breakfast or afternoon wine. The historic feel of the old villa was lovely. Bright colours, high ceilings and spacious rooms were very comfortable. It was great to be steps away from all the action of the historic centre but separated from the noise. Easy access to the fishers marina from here too … so many options for dining and walking.

Housekeeping was a little inconsistent. Bed never made the same way twice, over supplies of soap we weren’t using, moving of personal items, towel replacement was random despite following the requests of the hotel. Always clean though. The property just feels a little tired. Needs a few updates to scratched furnishings, thin towels, rust on washing machine etc. It would take so little to bring the property to 4 star… especially with such lovely staff/owners.

It was close to the Vatican with a 10 minutes walk. The host was very helpful in providing extra information for getting around the place when we met in the morning. Breakfast was available and decent with extra costs. The host was communicating frequently before arrival to ensure a proper check-in. And it has a lift.

The reception desk was operated in a limited day time and if you arrive late, especially in the evening, it was difficult to check-in despite much communication. You will need cellular data or wifi to get to the links that are needed to access the web-app to open the room. The room we stayed was small and had basic amenities.

Check in was simple and the keyless entry was extremely convenient. We arrived earlier than check in and they were really accommodating with letting us into our room early! The room was beautifully decorated and spacious. We were also really impressed with the bathroom and cleanliness of the entire place. The best part about this property was the location! Walking distance to everything and off the main roads so it was quiet.

The breakfast seemed expensive for what it was so we did not participate. We liked the keyless entry but the system on the door took some time to figure out how to get the door to lock upon leaving. Once we figured it out it was easy. Staff was only around until 4pm.

This lovely 500 year old hotel is in the happening Navona neighborhood, and it provides EXCELLENT customer service. In particular, we'd like to thank Asci and Edward for being so personable and helpful, in terms of recommending restaurants, helping us find our way, calling taxis as needed, and making us feel welcomed and comfortable. Our room was spacious, lovely, and charming, with frescoes on the wall. I would definitely recommend this boutique hotel, which is within walking distance of many sites tourists would want to see.

I only stayed here one night as I was arriving from Puglia the day before and flying home via Rome. The location was wonderful! Close to many historical sights and must-try restaurants that I had on my list for my final day/night. The actual street itself was quiet, which was a great reprieve from the hustle and bustle. I was greeted warmly when I arrived, and they ensured I understood how to use the codes to enter the hotel once reception retired for the evening. The room was spacious and clean - exactly as pictured!

Very clean, lovely historic building with modern renovation, bathrooms and easy access to both center and Vatican City. There is an elevator for luggage and the management was absolutely kind and amenable. We were able to leave our luggage in the front office after check-out which was helpful for our schedule and sightseeing.

The remote/virtual key opening is a little frustrating. Make sure you have your front door code and room codes before arriving, and there is nobody at the front desk 4pm until the next morning.

I chose Relais Giulia based on location, which was superb for what our itinerary was. We enjoyed a complimentary upgrade to a suite which was just beyond any expectation we had. It was beautiful, spacious, clean and comfortable. We took breakfast one morning and it was very good. This is a beautiful property with a very friendly and helpful staff. We would return and would highly recommend this to anyone looking to stay near the river and within walking distance to the Vatican.

We loved everything!

Beautiful room very spacious. Bathroom amazing especially the hydro bath. Location was perfect walking distance to most landmarks or plenty of busses if you don't fancy a walk. Lots of great restaurants nearby.

Shower pressure wasn't great didn't really get the effect of a rain shower but is a very old building. Bed a little firm for us but that's a personal preference No where to plug in the kettle near the drinks area so had to plug in on the floor, but that's it. Would definitely return !

Relais Giulia was located perfectly for our stay. We were able to easily walk to the Vatican, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, and Piazza Navona. The walk to the Coloseum was a bit further but still not bad. We spent most evenings in nearby Trastevere, which was a short and peaceful walk. Also, upon drop-off at our hotel our cab driver informed us her credit card was machine was “broken.” Jonathan at Relais Giulia so generously lent us the cash to pay for the cab so that our first moments in Rome could be relaxing instead of looking to find an ATM.

This was our second time at Relais Giulia and we loved everything- the beds are the most comfortable in the world, the location is amazing, rooms are quiet and very clean, the staff is helpful and kind, the experience overall is terrific

I think you can add some vegan options for breakfast, for instance an almond milk to go with the fruit and granola, or a nut spread such as pistacchio spread or peanut butter. And also, place the vegetables in a separate platter from the meats to make them appetizing to vegans as well
