The room was more than spacious and the view was amazing. Best we had on our entire trip in Italy! Breakfast was good and staff was friendly. Tony was very helpful and friendly. Lovely artwork and Siena posters etc. throughout property. Nice touch.

Would have preferred a shower instead of a bathtub, but the bathroom was spacious and comfortable.

Location is awesome nearby to the Duomo and on the main street that leads to all the shops, restaurants and cafes as well as Piazza de Campo. We walked the streets, and it was easy to get around. The staff at the hotel were excellent with Sergio being very welcoming and providing great support and assistance when needed. Highly recommend the hotel for a stay in Siena. Just remember it is a hilly place with lots of slope walking required, but it was manageable and easy enough if you have a base fitness. We love Siena and the hotel was terrific for our exploring. I suggest including the breakfast and just remember it is an old city.

We liked the old charm of the hotel, so do not expect all the modern things found in some hotels in Italian cities. The old charm is what makes it. Enjoy it for what it is - an amazing city with old world charm.

Amazing views from the rooms we had. They gave very good directions to get to the hotel, which was very helpful. They parked our car for us and brought it in the morning within 30 minutes. That made arriving by car very easy. I would book there again. The location was fabulous. There are a fair number of stairs that are unavailable, like going to breakfast and getting to rooms. The lift is available but only gets you so far before you have to take luggage up a flight of stairs. Not a problem for us but maybe would be for some. Breakfast and coffee was very good!

Deeply appreciated that amidst all the tempting and most likely delicious pastries there are simple hard boiled eggs, triangles of cheese, sliced cucumbers, fresh Berry tomatoes, plain yoghurt and an abundance of fresh fruit. I am on a restrictive diet for medical reasons and it was relieving not to have to “negotiate” the very first meal of the day - congratulations on a balanced buffet!

Navigating the electrical outlets was challenging. The next time I will bring an adapter connector port for dedicated phone charging. Also outlet socket placement in the room was challenging but I understand that this has much to do with age/architecture of the structure - there’s only so much adaptation and upgrading possible.

The room had a beautiful view of Siena and the Duomo! The rooms were very clean, the breakfast was excellent & plentiful - as was their coffee! We loved the proximity to the Duomo and the piazza as well! Lots of places to eat close by too.

The room and hotel (in general) had a lot of steps where you least expected them to be, so it was easy to fall at any given time (and I promptly did!) ... However, if you think you can be more careful than I, then this is a great place to stay! Hotel staff could be friendlier/more welcoming.... and while they were quite informative, it would have been much better if done with a smile!

The room had a view of the green garden and the Duoma which was a plus. However room required going up 27 steps which fine except for bringing up/down the steps. Hotel staffs handled this minor inconvenience. Location was excellent with its proximity to areas of interest. Excellent restaurant were plentiful nearby Staff particularly Tony was very welcoming and helpful.

The carpet is worn out. If changed soon, it will help reinforce that they pay attention to run down facilities

The man at the reception desk was very helpful and gave us good advice on restaurants. The breakfast was excellent, and the woman who served everyone coffee and cleared away everyone’s dishes was welcoming, cheerful, and heroic to take on that task. Our room was small, but very quiet, and the entire hotel has an old-fashioned air that I liked. Towels were bountiful, shampoo and soap bars provided. The hotel is very close to the historic centre.

We booked a room with a queen bed, but the bed was much shorter and narrower than a queen and not very comfortable. When I mentioned this in the morning, I was told that the hotel has no queen-sized beds — even though that option was clearly stated in the listing and confirmed by email from the hotel. The sink in our bathroom (room 47) emitted a stinky smell when water was run. It wasn’t horrible, but the trap needs clearing, and the whole apparatus needs a dousing of chlorine. In other words, although the room was very clean, maintenance is needed beyond routine cleaning.

The decision to go to Siena for a night was a last minute decision, but after seeing this hotel, I wish my trip was longer. In terms of staff friendliness and comfort, this is an excellent place to stay. The two front desk men were incredibly helpful; it was great to be able to leave luggage, and a minor problem with my door was fixed straight away. The room was very comfortable and a decent size, with a very good shower room. The breakfast was very good, and wifi worked very well. The accommodation is a few minutes walk from the cathedral. This does put it at the top end of Siena, which means it is a bit of a trek from the station (much of it uphill), but that's true of most places in the town. But once you're there, everything is handy. I plan to go back to Sienna, and I would definitely stay here again.

There's really nothing I didn't like. The old town of Siena is a short bus ride and reasonably long walk from the railway station. A hotel nearer the station would be quite a long walk from the main attractions, so it's much of a muchness. To be honest, I can't fault the hotel Duomo.

We loved this hotel. A great welcome, all instructions for night entry etc fully explained and demonstrated. All questions answered. Wonderful view of the Duomo from our bedroom. Ideally situated for Duomo. Campo and all the town. Lovely breakfast with good and plentiful choices. Chocolate pastries superb! The cheerful waitress was very obliging and remembered our preferences.

Can't think of anything except lack of bath, but it seems nobody wants one anywhere except us.

Great location. Breakfast was good, plenty of choice. Helpful staff.

We would have liked to have a kettle and coffee/ tea making facilities.
