Amazing location! Although u definitely need a taxi/car to get there from the train station - we had an amazing stay. The view from our room - and the breakfast!!! Donatella who manages the breakfast IS amazing! So kind and generous. She made sure we had our sets and her cakes are amazing!!! We will definitely return if we visit Sorrento again.

For the fees they charge - they can offer transfers from and to the train station.

Beautiful and great view of the port.

2 dislikes - lift service to town is 10 mins away and it stops at 730 pm. The passage to take to hotel after dinner was very dark therefore needing taxi service (3 mins ride) down is v expensive - €20 !! We stayed in the tower and the bathroom was situated above the beds so you need to climb up and down a circular staircase plus configuration of the bathroom was strange … you need to walk through the shower stall to get to the toilet.

Marina Piccola 73 is a beautiful old building lovingly restored and well maintained. The attention to detail in all areas is high. The room was delightful, the bed was very comfortable, the lighting just right, it had absolutely everything one needed. You nod off to sleep and wake up to the sound of waves gently lapping the shore. There is the odd ferry horn but neither too loud nor too early. The breakfast on the terrace is a clear highlight, a generous and varied continental breakfast served by the effervescent Donatella, made up of her exquisite bakes using ingredients grown in her own garden. Along with a knockout view of the vertiginous coast and Mount Vesuvius just across the bay.  There is a lot to love about this place, it felt grown up and sophisticated with a quiet luxury about it.

Nothing really. If you're not too fit it may not suit because you have to walk up many steps into town, or along the coast a bit to get the lift, so no bother really and we enjoyed the walk. Oh maybe that it doesn't really get the sun out of season.

The views were amazing, the room was so unique and lovely! We enjoyed the breakfasts every morning with the views of the sea and Mt Vesuvius. Staff were friendly and helpful! I would definitely come back!

This was not a problem for us, but helpful to be aware of. The property is right on the water's edge (lovely!), but the town of Sorrento is above, on the cliffs, so to reach the town, your options are to 1) walk up the road or stairs, 2) take a lift/elevator which costs about 1 euro, or 3) take a bus (not sure the cost). We did a combination of walking and taking the lift, but we enjoyed the extra exercise :)

Beautiful charming historic 1860-65 boutique hotel. Very clean and antique design. Beautiful window doors to balcony and modernized bathroom. Very big room.

I hate leaving bad reviews but our room had a strong mildew smell. I imagine it’s because this is an 1860-65 historic building and either it’s the plumbing or the fact that it’s literally at the beach. And moisture is an issue. Just how it is with beach hotels sometimes.

the attitude of the staff is something you have to experience for yourself. All the staff from the reception, to the breakfast providers and the cleaners behaved like the owners. I definitely recommend trying cocktails at a local bar in the evening. The view to marina an d mount Veusivius is a bonus.

Approach with medium+ sized car was a bit tricky, but with help from receptions everything was resolved positively :)

The rooms were uniquely beautiful. The character of this building and Sorrento shines here, the view was beautiful as well looking out on the marina. The staff was the best from check-in, to evening drinks, to breakfast server, to check-out. When we stopped for a drink before dinner they always provided a little snack and at breakfast the server was always bringing something that she made personally. We really felt they all loved doing their work and we were on the receiving end of excellent hospitality❤️

We had the terrace room which was beautiful but there was a sewage smell the one evening not sure what from.

The view from this hotel is remarkable. How wonderful to fall asleep and wake to the sound of the waves of the sea! The owner is wonderful and her staff extremely helpful with tourist recommendations and booking. The breakfast and breakfast service is fantastic. Happy hour is also very nice. The lounge/deck is gorgeous with very comfortable furniture and the view is spectacular. We stayed in the tower room - definitely a one-of-a-kind. Pictures on the hotel's website show it all, but don't convey the warmth and professionalism of the owner and her staff.

Everything was wonderful!

Comfy bed, good bathroom, great staff - all were friendly & helpful !!! The view from room 405 was lovely & the balcony nice to sit on with a cool drink.

Our room 405 was VERY noisy, especially on the Saturday night. The problem with Room 405 is that it is near the entrance door, the elevator, the Breakfast Area and the Bar which closes at 11.30 at night. There should be communication about where this room is situated AND a cheaper rate should be applied. if you are a light sleeper like me it is no good- only managed to get 4 or 5 hours sleep each night. If you are a heavy sleeper….no problem !!! The room itself was really great, and lovely & clean & the staff were wonderfull - just noisy in 405. A nice property overall !!!!

Cute place right next to the marina. we stayed in the tower room which is literally a tower. It was quirky yet comfortable. They offer free on-site parking, you need to have a small car to make a treacherous turn but the staff are super helpful in guiding you through it.

It was farther away from the center of Sorrento than it appeared on the map. All of the shopping/restaurants are at the top of the cliffs above. You can get there on an elevator that is a 5 minute walk away. There are also stairs which are better for the trip back to the hotel.
