Customer service was amazing. Caterina went above and beyond to accommodate us arriving early, and my 1 year old’s milk allergy by providing us with suitable food at breakfast. They even set up a little birthday treat for me one day which was so thoughtful. If there were any questions, we could speak via WhatsApp and they would sort it out straight away. The location was in the middle of everything- can’t fault it at all!

There was nothing not to like. If you have a little one you may want to think about the stairs as they will want to climb them, but we just created a barricade to stop our one!

Cant fault our stay thankyou. Fantastic location overlooking a square. We had a large balcony. Room was great, bed very comfortable. Spotlessly clean and well maintained.

Nothing really. The steps to the bed deck were a bit steep and one to be careful on after a night out, but its not a complaint, just an observation.

The apartment was great, it was very spacious, and the hosts were great (a company that has a few suites on the 1st floor). The room had everything that we needed, a kitchen, a bathroom and a toilet, and it had 2 floors, the first one (where the kitchen and the bathroom were) had an open sofa, and the second floor had a king-size bed, a single bed, and it our case, a crib for the baby (had to pay 10 euro a night for the crib). The location is great, next to great restaurants, shopping stores, and a central location. There is an option for breakfast at a low cost (kids pay from the age of 6, but just 5 euros), the breakfast location is in the same area, reachable by a flight of stairs from their office on the first floor. The breakfast was small but sufficient. We definitely recommend this location to everyone, and we would be happy to return.

It was a bit tricky to find the place; we had to call the hostess, and she came down to help us find the entrance. Note that the entrance requires a cheap (you get one upon check-in), otherwise, you will need the help of the hostess to open the ground floor entrance.

La Piazzetta Guest House in Sorrento was the perfect setting for our wedding getaway! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality that made us feel right at home. Caterina, in particular, was exceptional—she went above and beyond to ensure our stay was unforgettable. Her attention to detail and genuine care made all the difference, from recommending local spots to arranging special surprises for our celebration. The guest house itself is charming, with beautifully decorated rooms and a lovely atmosphere. The location is ideal for exploring Sorrento, yet it still feels like a peaceful retreat. The hotel is perfectly located in the centre of Sorrento, yet it is still a quiet street and you do not hear any noise from the streets. Caterina, Alessandra and the whole staff are extremly friendly, lovely, helpful and welcoming. Should you have any question, problem or need recommandations, they will answer you on whatsapp within minutes. Our room was beautiful, bright and very clean. You can get almost everything you might need or want for breakfast (eggs, local cheese, meat and pastry, fresh fruit, ….). Also, the cappucino is great! We will come back for sure!

The host was wonderful and so helpful we appreciated her hospitality. The room was in a great location, 10 minutes walk from the ferry (lots of stairs) and 5 minutes to all the shops and restaurants. We had a split level room which was spacious. The breakfast was great, we really appreciated the lady who made cappuccinos each morning.

Our room 104 was right next to reception which meant we could hear everything outside and the room lacked privacy. The space between the toilet and sink was very tight it felt cramped. Although the bed was comfortable it was two single beds put together to make a queen and there was a crevice in the middle.

Our stay at La Piazetta Guest House was amazing. Caterina and Chiara at the guest house were perfect hosts. They went out of our way to make our few days in Sorrento so memorable. They helped us by making restaurant suggestions, booked our dinner reservations, packed us breakfasts to go on the days we had early excursions with sweets, sandwiches, drinks and fresh fruit. We started planning months in advance and Caterina and Chiara helped us arrange transfers from Naples to Sorrento then on a last minute request from us, they helped arrange a transfer from Sorrento to Rome. Caterina even waited with us outside to make sure our ride arrived. We were a group of 8 and she made our travels in Sorrento one to remember. The rooms were clean, and spacious even for 4 people in a room. The location was also perfect as Antonio Square was a great location to the water and to all the restaurants and shops. La Piazetta made our time with family and friends in Sorrento one we will remember forever. If you are reading this review we highly recommend you stay here. Thank you La Piazetta Guest House!!

Whenever we do come back, we will stay here again. Caterina was so amazing, personally showing us to our room, bringing us boxed breakfast if we would miss out due to excursions, and even helped us book activities. The hotel was in a perfect location, and we could even see the sea from our window. The bed was comfortable, windows and AC allowed for great ventilation, and the fridge worked great! There was also a lot of space to move about in the room.

It would be great if there was an option to do laundry, either self-service or a pay by load method. If that is not an option, having a clothesline to hang up wet clothes after washing ourselves would be great. I don’t think I have anything that I didn’t like!

Prior to Arrival, Caterina from La Piazzetta has texted us and was helpful in helping us to arrange for private transfer from Naples Train station to Sorrento (despite me giving her very last minute notice). When we reached, she was very friendly and showed us a map of the nearby vicinity and also recommended some restaurants to us! These were the best meals we had in the 10 days in Europe! On days we had day trips, Caterina was so sweet and prepared the breakfast for us the night before and leave it in the room for us! That was a very kind gesture that I have never experienced in other hotels. The property is conveniently located in the town and you will be spoilt with choices for food and drinks! There were plenty of shopping too! We did 2 days trips, 1 to Capri and 1 to Amalfi Coast + Positano It was easy to walk to the meeting point. The room is considered very big and the bed is very comfortable too, we had 3 restful nights here Most importantly what made the property special was the exceptional service from Caterina she has been really helpful and went out of her way to help us in one way or another! I sincerely thank her for all her help she has rendered to me. I can’t wait to bring my children to Sorrento as this is by far my favorite town and will definitely stay in La Piazzetta Guest House again!

Caterina at Reception was super helpful and kind to us. The breakfast was delivered to our room and included the freshest croissants I have ever had! The room was spacious, stylish and comfortable. We had a deluxe room and the view over the square was amazing. The location was perfect for exploring Sorrento on foot and for getting the train into Pompeii. The guesthouse organised for a car valet to pick up and drop off our car for €23 per day so it could be parked safely while we explored Sorrento & Pompeii. I would recommend La Piazzetta to anyone planning on staying in Sorrento.

The shower water pressure was poor and it took ages for the water to get hot. The kettle broke on the second night and we couldn't get a replacement as there's nobody on Reception overnight. We were woken by other guests coming back to their rooms on our corridor and having a loud conversation in the corridor (we can't really blame the hotel for that but perhaps the soundproofing could have been better?). The other small peeve was that we did not have bathrobes provided as stated in the information (it's not a big issue but, if I'm paying €250 per night, I want everything to be perfect)! This was a special treat to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and I was keen to make sure it all went perfectly. Thanks again to Caterina who really went over and above to help us.
