Beautiful interiors, so well decorated with attention to detail. Staff were lovely and breakfast was excellent with a variety of local cakes. Had it been warmer would have loved to enjoy the terrace.

Nothing i didn’t like. Just a caution that there is a flight of stairs that cannot be avoided (down to the breakfast area) and some stairs to the lift, if anyone has mobility issues.

The hotel is gorgeous and super clean. The photos on Booking don’t do it justice at all. The staff members Simona and Catello were excellent in everything we needed. They helped us with every detail and made our trip much more comfortable. The housekeeping and breakfast staff were very competent, tidy, and kind. The breakfast food was fantastic. The staff members Simona and Capello also arranged with the hotel team for us to take breakfast to the airport, since our flight was very early. They also arranged a taxi driver named Antonino to take us to the airport, and he was amazing. We had an amazing experience.

The hotel is tranquil, cool and spacious and there are many social areas with comfortable seating. The terrace area is lovely with oranges and lemons growing in profusion - just ask staff to bring a glass (or bottle) of wine. The breakfast is excellent. There is the usual set of choices (I rarely eat bacon but theirs is delicious) together with the output from somebody's Nonna who's been busy making a variety of delicious cakes. Gluten free choices are good too. The location is across from St Francis' Church and very close to the top of the lift which leads down (and up again) to the port area (day trip to Capri is straightforward) - although the sloping walk down is very pleasant. The views are spectacular across the Bay to Naples and Vesuvius. The streets (walk to the left) are the expected touristy ones but with cheerful helpful Italians and (walk to the right) you also find pleasant squares where locals and tourists mingle for shopping and restaurants. The hotel staff were efficient, pleasant and unobtrusive - perfect. Considering the location if the old part of Sorrento, the evening were gentle and friendly rather than boisterous- the loud bars were not too far if that's what you'd want.

We liked the whole experience. No criticisms.

The common areas at Palazzo Marziale truly feel palatial. The room we stayed it was really comfortable as well. The staff is welcoming and super-helpful. The location is literally across the street from the elevator down to the level at which you can catch the ferry, making this a fantastic place to stay if you are arriving or departing via ferry with rolling luggage (not to mention taking daytrips to other places in the region).

The breakfast items were sometimes not refilled. Get there early, I guess :)

The terrace is called a bar and in no way resembles one. I brought some wine to drink there and told I was not allowed. Very disappointed in that policy. Also booked car tours through the hotel and assumed I could use a credit card. Was informed that I had to pay the drivers in cash once I arrived. Necessitated expensive trips to the atm to get local currency. Guest should be aware of this prior to arrival.

The staff were extremely friendly and attentive. We loved the central location; the hotel had immediate access to key tourist sites, shops and restaurants. There was an amazing spread for breakfast. The hotel was very well kept, clean and beautifully decorated. The air conditioning was a definite plus.

There was a terrace where drinks could be purchased in the evening, but this was very rarely used. We had asked to drink some wine we'd purchased separately in there, but the request was declined. This space was beautiful so it seems a shame that it wasn't used to it's full potential.

Such a lovely, charming property! Elegant but not stuffy. Emphasis on service and quality. So many nice thoughtful touches that I didn't expect. Turn down service, quality bed linens, lovely terrace and gathering rooms. Complementary prosecco on the beautiful patio. The breakfast room was beautiful. The tables were set with silver and the prettiest china! The breakfast buffet was outstanding. So many delicious options displayed so beautifully! Close to everything in the town center but feeling quiet and set apart.

I don't know if the hotel has a shuttle available. It would have been nice to be picked up from the port upon arrival.

The hotel looks exactly as it does in the pictures, such a beautiful Italian hotel in a great location. Breakfast was very good although there isn’t a huge selection. Staff were very friendly and know all of the guests room names each time you come back to the hotel which is a very nice touch. Free water in the room and Prosecco at the terrace bar on our first night was also lovely.

We stayed 6 nights and felt the room could have been cleaned more throughly and restocked e.g tissues and body lotion at least once during our stay.

Loved the location, in terms of its proximity to the town center, shopping, restaurants and beautiful views. Very convenient for my spouse and me to walk about shopping & sightseeing and stop into the property whenever we needed a bathroom break, etc. Also, the breakfast spread and coffee was wonderful and affordable. (Italians know how to put on a continental breakfast!)

The bed was a little too stiff/hard. A memory foam topper would have made it perfectly comfortable.

Fantastic location in the heart of Sorrento. The hotel’s original features are amazing and the rooms are spacious and clean. Iron and a good hairdryer in the room very handy. Typical breakfast in Italy, lots of pastries. The turning down of your beds with a weather report being left each evening was a nice touch. All the staff are very friendly and helpful!

The terrace area is lovely so it’s a shame there isn’t a bar there or it would be a nice place to eat breakfast.
