We truly had a wonderful stay at Bay Palace. The staff were very friendly, especially Claudia, who created a welcoming atmosphere. The pool is fantastic, and the hotel offers an incredible view of the bay. The location is good, with close proximity to Isola Bella and the cable car to Taormina. There are also several beach clubs nearby, but we found the serene area around the pool to be more than sufficient, with plenty of sunbeds (the photos don't do it justice – it's much nicer in reality). For future travelers, it's worth noting that the hotel recently changed ownership after being closed for a couple of years, so only consider reviews from 2024 onward.

One downside is the lack of pedestrian walkways along the road, but the light morning traffic made it possible to go for a run without constant vigilance.

The view from the hotel is amazing. The location is good: only a few minutes walk to the beach. The cable car to Taormina is also walking distance. We took a family room, which was nice. The terrace was great, part covered in shade and partially sun. There are a few good restaurants and little grocery shop close by.

Breakfast is terrible: quality and choice is far below a 4 star hotel. It is till 10am but at 9:20 there is nothing left (no bread or cakes, no fruit, no yoghurt) and it is not possible to get something. We saw how the personnel brought paper and bags for Italian guests to wrap the sandwiches they made for lunch and fruit to take with them, while we could only eat crackers and cornflakes. The parking is expensive and terrible on a steep drive, you need to be a good driver. The road to the cable car is dangerous as there is no pedestrian walk, luckily it is not so far. The cable car costs 10 euros p.p. (2 ways) so if you want to have diner in Taormina you need to add this to your budget !

Fantastic pool with diving board overlooking the sea with stunning views. On the beach below was the most amazing and unexpected snorkeling areas with so many different colourful fish. Our room had been upgraded to one with a stunning sea view, and a balcony. The breakfast was reasonable, but we probably arrived towards the end.

If you are catching a bus from Taormina Giardini ask to get off at Isola Bella, not Via Nationale which doesn't seem to mean anything to them, and then walk down to the hotel. ( We ended up being taken all the way to the next town and then had to get a different bus back...stressful! ) The bus drivers here don't seem very helpful unlike the rest of Italy 😢

The location was excellent. Both Mazzaro and Isola Bella beaches were just a 10-minute walk away, making it very convenient for beach lovers. The cable car was also only 5 minutes from the hotel, providing easy access to Taormina city center. Inside, the hotel was very clean, and the staff were extremely hospitable and welcoming. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking to budget-friendly stay in the area.

The hotel is situated right next to a busy main road, where cars drive by at such high speeds that it felt unsafe and uncomfortable to walk along the road.

The location was quite remote and the walk to the funicular from the hotel quite dangerous. Both inside and outside the place was a bit shabby and more attention could have been paid to detail. Umbrellas at the pool did not function and no thought to pool surrounds, such as plants et al. Many of the advertised attractions, such as bar, were not available,

The sea view is stunning. The pool is a decent size, also with a stunning sea view. Tiziano, the poolside bar man was exceptionally friendly and attentive. The reception team were all so very helpful. The location was good, being just a 10 minute walk from the local bars and restaurants, and also the cable car which takes you into Taormina old town which is so beautiful. You can access the beach from this area too.

The attentive staff at this hotel made our stay very enjoyable. They were incredibly helpful with everything we needed, responding even late at night around 11-12 PM to assist and provide recommendations. We greatly appreciated their dedication. The view from our room was stunning, and the balcony was a fantastic place to relax. However, the breakfast selection was somewhat limited, and parking could be a bit tricky. It's essential to reserve parking in advance, and the entry and exit are not the easiest to navigate. Despite these minor inconveniences, our overall experience was positive.

We only stayed 2 nights so room was small. Shower needed replacing. The hotel has a rather shabby appearance in places. Lift not working correctly. I would not suggest this hotel for elderly or disabled as long steep drive leading up to it. To get into town you have to walk on a busy road with no pavement. Dangerous if you had small kids. Not well placed for accessing bars restaurants.

For sure, they can invest in place...furnitures are extremely old lol... the hotel belongs to 90s. I will give 10 because it was clean and you can clearly see that they trying to keep it on good balance. Price is not value for money, BUT the stuff makes the difference .

 The Hotel was wonderful with a great seaview and a strategic location.The famous Isolabella beach was near 5 minutes in a walk and all the beaches around were few minutes in a walk.The Taormina city was 5 minutes far away from the hotel with the cablecar.The staff was very kind and very helpfull.The room was very clean and comfortable.The morning was very tasty with all the kind of the morning foods.Simply Wonderful!
