Shower cubicle a little tight. Didn't like shower window out on to terrace as not very private. Breakfast good but no interaction with staff.

Great location across the road from beach access. Pool good size, clean, plenty of chairs, and at front of hotel so view out to sea. Bedrooms fine with air conditioning and smal balcony. In contrast to a previous review we did have hair and body wash. Small bar operates in lobby by pool. Breakfast is self serve and a large variety of choice (hot & cold). Family run and great staff especially Claudia and her sister at reception. 5 minute walk to Funicular up to Taormina old town. Lots of little supermarkets, bars and restaurants nearby.

Absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Villa Esperia. The pool was heaven on those hot summer days, and the view was incredible. The location was perfect, just a short walk to Isola Bella, close to the cable car up to Taormina’s city center, and far enough from the crowds to feel peaceful. The ocean breeze was a welcome escape from the summer heat.

We were only provided with a thin blanket and wished there had been a thicker comforter, both for added comfort and because it got quite cold at night with aircondition on. Luckily, there were extra blankets available for layering. The air conditioning also kept dropping to 20°C, even when we set it higher, which made it tricky to keep the temperature comfortable.

Nice staff on site, the room was basic with a balcony, but with a carpark view. The pool was fine with plenty of sunbeds and the location was OK for the cable car. Breakfast was good and the bed was comfortable with good linens and air conditioning. Room was clean with a fridge and water supplied.

Bathroom was poor and dated with a tight layout, and for design there were glass panels so if you went to the bathroom during the night you lit up the bedroom. I didn't personally like diving lessons in the pool that were on 3 days in a row in our 3 day stay. Going in the pool meant you were in their way.

Family run in a perfect location. Few mins to the cablecar up to Taormina and short walk to various beaches and Isola Bella. Much quieter than Taormina. The rooms were spotless, well provisioned with the added bonus of a Seaview balcony. Air-conditioning and free wifi worked perfectly. Breakfast had ample variety and the pool area well maintained with stunning views. The most notable though were the staff.. such a lovely friendly team that booked trips and taxis for us and provided advice happily...Note the sunset dolphin cruise was the best! I'd have no hesitation recommending and would return in a heartbeat. Thanks again for a wonderful holiday x

Can't find anything negative...

Hotel Villa Esperia exceeded our expectations for our travel. We had a large group of family traveling together including children and the staff was very friendly and extremely accommodating. The rooms were very clean and spacious. The breakfast that was included had a large variety to choose from and the restaurant staff were very polite. The hotel was located close to local markets and restaurants as well as a very close walk to the cable cars that take you to the town center. The area surrounding this hotel was very safe and clean. We look forward to returning to this hotel during our next visit.

The rooms were clean. The staff was great. Breakfast was very good They also offered a secure place for our car at 20$ a night. Well worth it especially if you don’t need it all the time so much traffic

The description of the property is not as advertised For a four star hotel the rooms really need to be updated. It’s like something out of the 50s or 60s. The lobby and resturant are just beautiful and updated. Staff great

The coffee at breakfast wasn’t the best and strange cakes . I am a fussy coffee drinker though . Would have been great to have had shampoo in bathrooms .

Location is great. Few minutes walk from the beach and cable cars into town. If you prefer to spend more time at the beach, this is perfect. If it’s the town you want, go up there, otherwise you’re on the cable cars twice a day up and down.

Nothing major but had to ask for coffees and milk for the room. Lots of tea and sugar but no coffee. Also only 2 plug points, so bring an extension lead!
