We stayed for a week. Upon arrival, there was a basket of fruit in our room. In this hotel, you will find true Sicilian style in the interior – bright color combinations, wooden furniture, curtains, chandeliers, and wall sconces. Arched doorways and windows. Plenty of greenery and flowers. Our room had a sea view, was comfortable, and the bed, pillows, and bed linens were excellent. The slippers and toiletries (shower gel, soap) were of great quality. From the very first minutes of our stay, we were surrounded by care and attention. We would like to highlight Salvatore Spadaro at reception – highly professional and attentive, and Sergey – polite, sincere, always ready to help and solve any problem. In the restaurant, the waiters were friendly: Roberto, always cheerful, helpful, and professional; Francesco (also at reception), attentive and kind; and Alessandro, sweet and pleasant. The staff creates an atmosphere of comfort and genuine Sicilian hospitality. The restaurant’s cuisine is wonderful, with healthy breakfasts. We would also like to note the perfect cleaning service (Sara). Many thanks to all who make a stay at this hotel comfortable and unforgettable! And also to the General Manager, Giuseppe Trefiletti.

Old world style hotel, beach side, as advertised. My husband twisted his ankle before so we couldn't move far and the staff helped to send someone to get his prescription and to advise where to go for am xray. Due to lack of mobility we wined and dined at the hotel 4 nights there and very good. Lovely terrace with a canopy of ficus trees. Restaurant staff lovely and each day got ice for the ankle

The rooms are dated but to be expected. The terrace from room and sound of the ocean great. Only complaint is the bathroom is small and the shower doors a challenge at times. I do like tea and coffee making facilities in the room but that doesn't happen often in Sicily, nor here. . Again due to mobility we didn't explore and the road to go to the cable car is 1 km but not an easy or safe walking road.

This is a great hotel if you want easy beach access in Taormina. The decor is very 70’s vintage & seemed like time stood still, but in a good way! It really felt like you’re in a movie set. It’s surprisingly so clean given that it’s old. Rooms have the french window balcony that gives you a beautiful sea view every morning. Breakfast is simple, but good. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The only little downside is the Cable Car is about 0.5miles/1km away by foot if you want to go to the town. Or if you prefer they can call a taxi for you which costs about €20 - €25 each way (this is normal in Taormina) the cable car would cost you €6 one way or €10 roundtrip. It’s good to experience both so you can see the town in a different way of transportation.

Above all I loved the bar/restaurant area and the garden is also very nicely maintained

The bedroom is still ok but the bathroom was in desperate need of renovation. A hotel categorized as 4 stars with a depreciated mirror, a toilet flushing system so outdated that requires “special tricks” to work and a total lack of space for placing your own toiletries and without the right installation even for having the towels in a family room for 4? Not to mention the bad quality of the disposable plastic cups (I would expect glass cups in such hotel)

The hotel has a private beach, which is basically the reason we booked here. But it turns out a lot of plus points. The facilities are functioning good, hotel is very clean, Beds are very comfortable. The staff are very friendly and warm. Free parking.

Breakfast remains the same every day. For a couple days of stay, breakfast is getting boring. It is difficult to find a good restaurant within walking distance.

A traditional hotel, spotlessly clean and located right by the beach with beautiful October sunrises and views of the Italian mainland on clear days. Staff very approachable and professional, and many offered very helpful advice regarding trips and finding our way around. Great selection of fruit/cereals or cooked breakfast with bonus of what seemed to be freshly baked orange/almond/lemon cakes and other sweet treats.

Coast road location meant that it could sometimes be a bit lively walking along to the town- we varied our options between walking and taxis and the cable cars. I suppose you can’t have everything in such a spectacular location- views amazing from top of Taormina… Hotel bathroom suites have been modernised at some point whilst more traditional colourful tiles remain, and always fresh and clean, toiletries and towels renewed, only issue may be the small space between toilet and shower.

The views were amazing, it was peaceful, the staff were professional, the private beach was leisurely and relaxed, the hotel decor was so old fashioned it was fashionable again 😂 in all seriousness, we loved the quirky charm of the decor, fixtures and fittings.

The shower cubicle because it was so small and although the hair dryer was a relic and a novelty it did get a bit tiresome to use effectively. The walk along the busy road to get to the cable car which takes you to the centre of Taormina was not ideal. A shuttle service put on by the hotel would be a good idea. A taxi to the centre is a €40 round trip so gets expensive.

it is not the newest one hotel, but has own charm and perfect staff. do not expect newest technology, it is more Agatha Christie style from last century, but hotel has everything you need for stay! very comfy beds and beautiful view and one of the best terrace I saw! From hotel to city center of Tarmina is it by taxi around 10-12 minutes, but here you have the own beach. We have the rooms at the highest flor and it was really perfect to have such great view on Italy on other side of the sea. Minibar was very good prepared and it was funny to get there - you have to use the key! :)

OK, they can upgrade the technology, but I liked it very much. Bathroom is very tiny, but clean and cosy....

The location was great and the welcoming staff (Ernesto and Mona Lisa special thanks ) was amazing & polite. The staff at the beach was so kind and helpful during the whole day. The breakfast and the dinner were delicious. Very close to the funicular to go up to Taormina.

Actually, there wasn't any specific issue for me to write a negative review about. Apart from the packaged bread with mold that we requested for breakfast before our tour. If I were a customer inclined to create problems and potentially undermine the positive experiences of our otherwise enjoyable holiday, I could have provided very serious feedback here. Most importantly, despite raising the issue twice at different times, there was no positive follow-up or resolution, which is a significant concern. In such instances, it's crucial to reassess customer management and approach strategies. I recommend reconsidering what another customer might express or expect in this matter."

First impressions the hotel looked like it needed a refurbishment but you soon fall in love with its old world charm. Our double doors opened straight onto the sea and we were rocked to sleep by the ocean. A quiet situation from the hustle and bustle of Taormina but close enough to walk to the cable car which takes you up the hill. Very easy to do.

The road to the cable car is very busy and a bit scary at times as there is no path on route. it takes about 15 to 20 minutes.
