It was a very authentic experience, and the staff were friendly. They serve you fresh coffee at the table at breakfast, which is very nice. It is a bit limited what you can take yourself from the breakfast buffet, but by requesting, you will get eggs, cheese, ham, yoghurt... brought to your table. Free parking at the premises, although driving in is quite tight. There is also a free parking space a little bit further down the road.

From booking.com we had understood, we would have our own balcony, which we didn't have. It could be made clearer that some of the double rooms have a balcony and some of them don't. There was, however, a nice terrace between the restaurant and the rooms to sit. Nothing that the owners can do about this, but the church bells start quite early in the morning (0700) and play quite long melodies.

if you are looking for a typical Italian "Albergo" as they have been for centuries, this is your place! Old times charme all over in positive way... my room (double bed and balcony) was facing to backside, temperature was fine (no AC) Breakfast with Cappuccino from real bar, Cornetto from bakery - Bravo! The owner family obviously is committed to 100% Service which is hard to find 2024, worth to support!

Value of mezza pensione cena (dinner) was a bit disappointing: easy to cook (Penne pesto and warm up chicken wings from pranzo) though incl. drinks compared to excellent Italian "prima collazione"

The warm welcome provided at this gorgeous family run hotel. Our room was kept spotlessly clean and the owner went above and beyond to ensure we had the best stay. The terrace with it's stunning views, and the quality of food the restaurant provides as well as the ambience in the bar with the talented keyboard player, and friendly staff all make it a trip we will happily remember. We had a quick walk around the ancient part of the town, and to a friendly bar up the road also.

Room was very clean, although sparsely furnished. It was basic and small, but had what you expected from a hotel. The location worked well for us for the arrival in the Lake Como region as we didn't want to plunge in the agitation, since the hotel is 10 minutes by car from Onno, which has some beaches, and 15 from Bellagio. If you talke the longer route to Bellagio (20-25 mins) - via Civena - the views are spectacular. We dined at the restaurant and everything was fresh and delicious - this dinner was a very welcome surprise. Breakfast was well organized as well and all offerings were delicious. Their personnel was great - quick and knowledgeable and very warm. Adelina in particular offered us great travel tips which helped us better shape our travel.

What a quirky little hotel and we loved it - although I suspect some might not. We ate at the hotel as did a number of others who were staying over but there was no menu card, the waiter read out what was on offer and it was limited no options for those withe specific dietary requirements, for example, so I saw one couple who, while the husband ate steak, his wife had a plate of carrots and a plate of chips . There was a Fawlty Towers element to the place, but in a very good way and the staff were very helpful and friendly. There was alovely terrace with stunning views which because of the weather we were unable to use.

The limited dinner menu was a drawback and there seemed a reluctance to sell us a bottle of wine with dinner, we had to order by the glass. The terrace i mentioned above remained unusable after the rains had passed as no one took in the cushions, leaving everything saturated and unusable.

The location felt like we’re were in proper Italy not tourist Italy Our room had a lovely balcony and the restaurant served the best pasta we had whilst in Italy! The staff were incredible! helpful, friendly and kind and clearly took pride in their work! We booked this last minute and it was good value! The breakfast room had the nicest view!

Being totally honest it could do with a little modernisation/updating the bathroom had a shower and bath which is awesome but it felt creepy and the double bed in the room sank in the middle - we still still slept fine though!

Excellent accommodation in a good location, easy to find, private parking, friendly and helpful hosts We had a great and very comfortable room, cleanliness and tidiness at a high level, everything was excellent, a good place for parking behind the hotel. We will definitely do it again if we are in that part of Italy again

Lovely hotel with big dining room. I really enjoyed the secure parking lot so I did not have to worry about anything happening to my motorcycle. The hotel is centrally located and great for exploring lake Como.

The rooms were not isolated from noise very well. One can hear anything or anyone in the hallway.

Great parking, good price under €80 with simple breakfast and distance to Bellagrio, beautiful morning walks. Dinner menu was ok but the tiramisu is great! True Italian village which is nearly abandoned but very charming.

Bed gives me pain back, noise coming from the road ( maybe i was unlucky) breakfast bread ended early and no replenished.
