Before we arrived, Lucia sent a message to welcome us and introduce herself. On arrival, we were greeted and given lots of very helpful information about the area with timetables and maps. We were offered a drink and croissant too. We were then shown to our room which was ready on arrival (12.30pm) and there were some free snacks and a bottle of wine for us in the fridge. There were beers and soft drinks too if we wanted them at a small cost. Breakfast was very good. Home cooked eggs every morning of a different variety and a wide selection of fruit, sweet treats, yogurts, local jams etc. Lucia served her guests very attentively and Luca, her husband made the lovely hot food daily. Breakfast is outside on the terrace with stunning surroundings. The hotel is spotless. Our room had a large bedroom with tv (including Netflix and Amazon prime) a separate large living area with sofa. Modern bathroom with toiletries. We visited Varenna, Bellagio, Menaggio, Lecco and Tremezzo while there. All very beautiful and easily accessible from Mandello del Lario. Varenna was our favourite and the nearest to Mandello. The bus stop is right next to the hotel and buses around every 15 minutes going in both directions. There is a ferry to Bellagio from the waterfront which is a 5 minute walk away. There are bars and restaurants there too and a gelato shop which is very good. Perfect all round stay for our first time on lake Como. Thankyou so much Lucia and Luca.

Clean, spacious, comfortable residence just steps away from the Mandello de Lario train station. Lucia was always available on whatsapp to help us with questions and provide recommendations. We were provided a complimentary bottle of wine, snacks, and even Netflix access! We were also offered a great spread of savory and sweet breakfast items, and her husband Luca made us a different egg dish each day. We took day trips to other towns easily from the Mandello ferry stop (7 minute walk), walked through a charming neighborhood nearby, and could walk just 15 minutes to large supermarket (Iperal Mendello) if we needed anything. We truly could not have had a better experience -- Lucia is truly passionate about taking care of her guests. Looking forward to returning!

Nothing I can think of -- this place hit all the notes on location convenience, proximity to transportation, amenities for modern comfort, and top-notch hospitality while adding a cozy residential touch.

Our lovely BandB hosts welcomed us into their beautiful home with great hospitality, care and attention. Our room was spacious and comfortable; the bathroom was exceptional too. Lucia had generously provided snacks and wine in our fridge. The breakfasts were delicious and leftover cakes/fruit etc remained in the dining area all day for visitors to treat themselves! Both hosts were very helpful in advising us as to where we might explore and how to navigate the area, in terms of buses and ferries etc.

It’s hard to put into words the level of warmth, welcome and care we received at Residenza Laurum by Lucia and Lucas. Even before our arrival Lucia sent us useful information about transport there. The house and garden have been designed and maintained with the utmost care, taste and attention to detail. Our room was very comfortable for our family of 3 with two small balconies and beautiful views of the garden and mountains. Breakfast was a delight each morning - enjoyed either outside under cover in the lush garden or indoors in a light filled room depending on the weather and preference. Lucia kindly accommodated my dietary needs (gluten and lactose free). It was my birthday during our stay and Lucia and Luca went out of their way to help make it a very special day for me, including a GF cake for breakfast and a lift to a nearby restaurant. I will not forget their kindness 😊 The location is very convenient for those with and without a car. There’s on-site secure parking, a 3 minute walk to the train station and 5 minute walk to the ferry. We stayed 5 nights which gave us a chance to see some surrounding sights and discover the humble little town of Mandello del Lario which not very touristy and has very friendly locals. It felt like we arrived as guests and left as friends. We hope to return one day!

Nothing at all - everything was wonderful

This place is wonderful! Location is great for exploring the lake Como area. There is a ferry you can take to the other side or parts of the lake and there is also a train by witch you can explore the east side of the lake. It is close to the railway station and was ideal for us because we didn't have a car. There is a parking place although if you have a car. The property is so beautiful. The room was spacious and very clean. Every detail in the room was well thought of: There were wine classes and I got an extra basket to keep my cosmetics in order in the bathroom. AC was great! Lucia was most wonderful hostess and was so helpful and friendly. She cooked every morning different kind of very generous breakfast with a buffet of sweet pastries, fruits and yougurt with musli and yam. On top of this she made omelettes and sandwiches etc. She would give us maps and information about what to do and how to get around the area. You can reach the place from Milano Centrale station in approximately 50 minutes by one train and walk 200 m from the station. There were also multiple hiking paths from the city going up the mountains and there were waterfalls. There nice restaurants in the town and a public beach also within a short walking distance. Would definitely recommend this place and hope to return some day!

Fantastic stay with Lucia being an amazing host. Mandello is a beautiful little village and offers a perfect mix of mountains, beach and Italian cousine. The room was spacious and clean, secure parking included and Lucia helped with bookings and recommendations. We will definetely try to return.

The bed could maybe have been a bit more comfortable, but this really is complaning on a very high level. The stay was great!

We stayed at the property for two nights and were thoroughly impressed. Both the house and the surrounding area were absolutely wonderful, we truly didn’t want to leave. The house was beautiful and impeccably clean, as was our room, and it featured a stunning, fairytale-like garden. Our host, Mrs. Lucia, was exceptionally kind, courteous, and helpful. She provided us with valuable information about the local area and greatly assisted us in planning our itinerary.

Ideal bed and breakfast hosts! They provided everything I needed for my stay while I was attending a conference in Varenna, e.g. umbrellas to borrow and advice on how to get the best value train tickets. Wonderful breakfast every day on the patio in their beautiful garden. The room was spotless and had good A/C, and the BnB is in a perfect location near the train station in the center of town.

Lovely property, nice location, perfectly equipped room and the best host: Lucia. She took care of every detail, made sure we had everything we needed, gave recommendations of the best places and restaurants around, and prepared a delicious healthy breakfast every morning. We couldn’t ask for more, will definitely come back if we are around Lake Como again!

A gorgeous home with a beautiful garden and mountain views! The host was super helpful and welcoming, showing us that our room had access to her beautiful garden and a mini fridge with some free beverages, as well as giving us lots of information on how to get around to other nice spots along the lake and where to go for dinner and beach. She made us fresh breakfast along with a wonderful buffet every morning. The room was clean and neat and comfy.
