A truly charming and authentic place in the heart of Venice. The interior design is beautiful — vintage furniture from the 1930s, stunning patterned tiles, and a cozy atmosphere throughout. The entrance, reception, and rooms are full of character. The bathrooms were very clean, and I appreciated the traditional key system, which gives it that classic hotel charm. I had no issues with noise and actually found the fan more comfortable than air conditioning. What makes this place really special is Mr. Giulio. He treats guests like family and takes care of every detail with genuine kindness. It's a well-located, authentic place full of warmth and personality. Highly recommended!

It's very near the train station, you don't have to cross any bridge and they allow to leave luggage after chrckout. The staff are very nice. The room we stayed in only has shower room , the restroom is outside and is shared which is not a problem for us. The room itself is giving vintage vibe which we applied and enjoyed.

They do not have a lift. Though the staff was so kind to help us carry our luggage to our floor so not a big issue. Also use of AC is not free, it's separate payments we paid 12 euros for use of AC for one night stay. Also not a big deal.

Good location- 10-15 min walk to airport bus or train station. It’s was clean and had character like the distinguished gentleman running it. I visited at start of June and had the windows open with fan on and slept great, no issues with mosquitoes. They stored my luggage when I arrived before check in time so I could go exploring. Given the rates for staying in Venice, it was a good budget option.

The hotel is in very good location. And the room was okay. Bathroom was tiny but I think it is okay for Venice. Staff was very helpful. My room has piazza view.

The bathroom could be more clean and I don't find bathroom curtains very hygenic. There was no air conditioner, there was only ceiling fan. And it didn't help anything. If you go Venice in summer, air conditioner is must. Of course I am not aware about that is there any options for that in Venice. My room was in the piazza side, therefore I couldn't open the window. I just want to warn you that Venice has a lot of mosquitos, the hotel provided some kind of the raid. But it didn't help too much.

We really enjoyed our stay at Albergo al Gobbo! It's a bit old fashioned and could use with some updated fixtures and furniture, but the operators were pleasant and the room was extremely spacious and well kept. The location is also incredible for the price, 5 minute walk from the station and the Jewish district. Thanks for a great stay!

There was black mould in the bathroom which could easily be removed with bleach. The need to leave the key at reception whenever not in the hotel is of a dated idea but didn't interfere with our experience.

Good location on main walking route from Ferrovia / Santa Lucia station towards Rialto. Nice welcome from the host, easy check in. Clean room and en suite bathroom with good shower, no air con but efficient ceiling fan. Lovely farewell from Theo the 🐱

Some confusion over payment - I paid booking.com in full at the time of booking, but later kept getting messages from the property saying that payment was required to keep the reservation. Eventually contacted the call centre who confirmed that full payment had been made and only the city tax would be payable at the hotel, as is standard. I did get an acknowledgement of my call but no emailed confirmation that the issue had been resolved, anyway it was fine. I would recommend selecting the option for the property to manage the payment. My room faced the street and opening the window meant a lot of noise from the adjacent trattoria owned by the hotel, but it was a good vibe - closing the window and turning on the ceiling fan worked well.

The staff were wonderfully friendly. It felt very much like a home away from home. We were delighted with our room, as well, which had a beautiful view over the piazza. The gentleman at the front desk also gave excellent recommendations as to where to go and get pastry and dinner. Really high class and made our trip. I would definitely stay here again.

Everything was great. No complaints at all!

A short easy walk from the station. There was a washbasin and bidet in the room, which I wasn't expecting and made it much more comfortable. Good shutters and bedside light, and a view of trees in a small square.. I found the proprietor helpful and pleasant. I liked the charmingly old-fashioned feel of the place.

It felt a bit odd having to book the use of the bathroom, which was spotless, but it's probably better than having to wait while others use it.

Everything was perfect! The owner is a very nice gentleman who helped me with everything i needed. Great location (just 5 mins walking from the train station). Cleaning was great and i loved everything about this place. Hope to stay here again in the future.

In the hall it was a bit smelly because somebody smokes inside the building

Albergo Al Gobbo is a small cozy hotel, very close to the railway station Venezia Santa Lucia, and already in the town, on the main street to all historical sites. The host is very kind and friendly, my room was perfectly clean and comfortable, and even the bathroom and toilet outside the room was not a problem at all, - very clean everything.
