This is a great place. The staff are wonderful. Marco helped with transfers, restaurants and recommendations. A water taxi takes you to the hotel’s private jetty on a quiet small canal. Lose to all the main attractions. Marco was so very attentive and is a great host. Francesca and Asim were very kind to us as a family with suggestions for day trips and a welcoming coffee when needed! The breakfast staff & housekeepers are very pleasant and helpful. The hotel is old, which is typical, but clean and comfortable. Venice is an ancient city! Highly recommended!

This hotel was in a perfect location! It was on a canal off the Grand Canal so it was a little quieter which was nice for us. It was in the San Marco area and 5-10 minute walk to all the main attractions so that was perfect. I personally like staying in places where their decor represents the town/city/area and their Venetian decor of an old palace was perfect for me. Breakfast was amazing! I will definitely be staying here on next trip.

Hotel Becher helped set up private water taxi from and back to train station on arrival and departure. Our room was not ready the way I had requested (2 single beds) but the desk manager provided a complimentary glass of Prosecco while we waited for it to be prepared and then upgraded our room for us for the remainder of the stay. The breakfast room was cozy and had a tasty assortment of breakfast foods to help us start our day of exploring. The staff were all friendly and ready to help us with our plans for the day. We met a couple who have been there 3 times now and I can see why. While the hotel is in need of a facelift (I’m not sure of the exact age of the building), our room was clean and the beds were comfortable! (My understanding is that they will be doing renovations over the winter in preparation for next year.) The location was perfect for St. Mark’s Square and the Doge’s Palace as well as other sights. I would definitely consider staying at Hotel Becher again. I’ve given a rating of 9/10 or 4.5/5 only because it is an older establishment and in need of a little TLC.

We stayed at Hotell Blecher for a family weekend visit in Venice. The hotel is right in the middle of Venice so very well placed for visiting all major attractions by foot. In addition the hotell staff is very friendly and helpful which goes for all. To mention is Marco who helped us when we arrived late in the evening and Elena who booked our boat rides to and from the hotel. They use WhatsApp which makes the journey very easy and pleasant during the whole stay and actually even before we arrived. For us were the boat rides between the airport and the hotel perfect choice because you get a great view of Venice at the same time.

I recently stayed at Hotel Becher in Venice and I can’t recommend it highly enough! The staff were incredibly helpful and attentive, making my stay even more enjoyable. The hotel was spotless, which added to the overall comfort of my experience. One of the highlights was the beautiful view from my balcony; it was the perfect spot to relax and take in the scenery. Additionally, the breakfast offered was fantastic, with a wide variety of delicious options to choose from. If you’re looking for a great place to stay, I highly recommend Hotel Becher . You won’t be disappointed!

Hotel Becher was incredible. The location was perfect, including our room with terrace overlooking a smaller canal (in my opinion far more beautiful than the Grand Canal). The breakfast was delicious, and we enjoyed it each morning on the hotel's small jetty. The staff was also gracious enough to accommodate a late checkout since our train didn't leave Venice until 2 p.m. Also, sometimes I am afraid when booking hotels that the provided photos are misleading; not the case here. Everything is just as picturesque and stylish as shown in the photos. I can't say enough good things about this place. You will not regret your choice to stay here.

We loved the location, close to most of the main attractions of Venice; we loved the style, classic and in-keeping with the location; we loved that the staff were more than happy to share recommendations and spoke English very well; we loved the breakfast, we loved the little jetty onto the canal where you could have a morning coffee or a late night G&T. Marco, who was on reception every night of our 3 night stay, was especially helpful and really chatty.

The shower screen leaked a bit, but we figured that out pretty soon and just adjusted the shower head so it wasn’t so bad.

It was a first class experience. The water taxi and gondolas pick you up from a dock right off the lobby. The staff from the moment I first spoke to them was anxious to help and were accurate answering every question I had posed to them. They gave me detailed travel information for me to travel by train from the cruise port over 2 hours away. When we were walking with our baggage through the streets of Venice we thought possibly we were lost, calling the hotel, they told me to photograph where we were. Immediately they sent Marco from the front desk. He carried our bags and led us to our hotel. He checked us in and walked us to a fantastic restaurant and booked a gondola ride with musicians that picked us up right from the lobby. It was fantastic. We left the next morning for the Marco Polo airport. Marco suggested a water taxi to the airport. He arranged it and they were there at 6:45 as promised. It was like a luxury limo on the water. He cruised us to the airports own dock, where an attendant took our bags and us to the airline check in. This Marco was the highlight of our trip. Always with a smile and an efficient air about him. This hotel was a Venetian palace, it is beyond words. The breakfast before our departure was the best breakfast of our 16 day vacation. I look forward to recommending friends to Hotel BECHER.

Nothing, it was perfect.

Even though it is listed as a 3 star, this was fantastic and felt like so much more! The service was personal, exceptional, warm and Arsam at the front desk went out of his way to help us with all kinds of stuff including a last minute vaporetto tour and assistance with our flight tickets. All the staff at the front desk were amazing. The ladies who ran breakfast were wonderful. It is a historic old building and I cannot say enough about the location. Especiallyin Venice where you need to walk everywhere this hotel is a hidden gem. Five minutes walk to piazza san marco on one side, must try iconic restaurant d’ivo’s is two steps away, cute boutiques and shops as soon as you step out and some amazing fancy as well as casual bistro’s on the other side near the opera theatre which is also literally two steps away. Take a vaporetto straight to the canal side entrance of the lobby. And we sprung for a canal facing suite which was more than worth it.

Everything was perfect. The staff were fantastic - special thanks to Elena, who helped us with recommendations and all our needs. We can’t say enough good things about our 7-night stay. The room was big enough for 2 adults and 2 teens. Spotlessly clean. Our room had 2 windows opening onto a canal with gondolas passing. Breakfast and coffee on the jetty was wonderful. My husband and I were in Venice for our honeymoon in 2006, and it was wonderful to bring the children now. This superb hotel made our holiday perfect! Only a few minutes walk to St Mark’s Square. Everything we needed was at hand. Elena booked us tickets for a wonderful Vivaldi concert. Every member of staff was lovely. We highly recommend this exceptional hotel.
