A lot depends on your expectations, so we didn’t have any:) And then what we found: a red carpet on your entry, a beautiful apartment with windows to canal, a beautiful serenades each morning from gondolas, the sun and a little breeze when you open a window and nice people smiling at you from a little bridge; at nights you can feel soft waves of water when very silently passes the boat (but really not disturbing, instead lifting the spirit 🥰); we also experienced how clean can be the room and towels changed every day without even asking or nicely surprising about shampoos filled every day 🤗 we experienced how tasty a food can be (for international guests it might be important to have more than croissants for the breakfast, so there you can find plenty of choices and hot meals changed each morning; we also met a very fun and smiling waiter well taking care of customers and making sure tables and clean and you feel comfortable. And here is our top - we were lucky to meet wonderful Matias🌹 and one more man who helped with the night leave of my daughter 🙏 So by summing up it all - you will receive a very generous and warm attention and smiles from people doing their job with joy and happiness ❤️ and this is the fruits of a person who stands behind it all - Thank you to the owner of the hotel - and Thank you everyone in front for a wonderful experience of our family and one special Thank you to you, Matias ☀️

That I booked through Priceline for 3 person room. Beds were shown for 3 as well. When I got there it was for a reservation of 2. So I was charged more when I specifically made sure I was booking for 3. Shame on Priceline and booking.com

The location of the hotel was excellent and it was easy to get everywhere. The room was clean and warm (with options to regulate). The bed was good and the pillows were excellent. The staff was kind and sent on email instructions how to get there. Breakfast was very good and tasty.

The bathroom was bright and nice. The shower was clean and warm. Did not like little bit strange smell in the shower room. I ordered an additional service - room decoration and prosseco. When we arrived the room was decorated but there was no wine which was given later.

Really great location if you want to walk around the centre of Venice, particularly handy for Piazza San Marco. Staff are impeccably polite, friendly, and professional. Breakfast is pretty decent and has some variety so it's not exactly the same stuff every day. Most important of all is that it's clean, comfortable, and secure, and as I say, you can't fault that location if you want to be central.

Only thing is the room itself is quite basic - wasn't a problem for us but if you're going in expecting some of the little extras that come with some hotels, like tea/coffee facilities or a complimentary bottle of water, they aren't in the room. A minor thing to us but I mention it because it might matter more to some others.

Very central location, just a 5 min walk from the water bus/taxi stop at San Marco. Lovely Italian restaurant right next door to the hotel, which we ate at due to a heavy rain shower and it was really handy and very reasonably priced (13 euro for spag bol etc) Lovely clean room, slippers provided and toiletries. Gentleman who was on reception when we arrived (8th July, 5.30ish) was very polite, professional and gave a really warm welcome to the hotel and explained everything to us.

I asked for a room on the ground floor, which was accommodated, however I didn’t appreciate that there was a set of stairs to get up to reception, which wasn’t ideal as we have mobility issues and had a case with us. Wasn’t a huge deal and luckily was only a small case, but might be an issue for people with worse mobility issues.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We were able to book into our room early and we were upgraded to a room with a view of the canal. The hotel location is very convenient for seeing the sights in Venice. The room was very nice and spacious with a comfortable bed and a nice en-suite shower and toilet. We enjoyed the breakfasts very much with a generous offering, including eggs, cheeses, meats, fresh fruit, yoghurt and croissants.

There were no tea or coffee making facilities inside the room, which would have been a nice addition.

My partner and I stayed here for a couples' trip, and as I’m currently pregnant, I was especially grateful for how accommodating the hotel staff was. From the moment we arrived, the personnel were incredibly friendly, respectful, and always happy to help with anything we needed. One of the highlights of our stay was the breakfast—every morning, there was a delicious selection with new varieties, which made it even more enjoyable. It was a great way to start the day! The rooms were cosy and had a warm, welcoming feel, making it easy to relax. The hotel also offers great value for money, which is always a plus. . Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely recommend this hotel, especially for couples looking for a relaxing and well-catered stay!

The only downside for us was the mattress—it was too soft for our preference, which made sleeping a bit uncomfortable

The hotel is very well located, in 5-10 minutes you can reach all the main sites in Venice. Also the stops of the ferries from/to the airport are at at short distance (less than 10 mins). The staff was very friendly, when I arrived they gave me several suggestions. All very good. The buffet continental breakfast was very large with some varieties between the days, above what I would have expected in a 3 star hotel. There is limited offer for warm food, but that is the norm in Italy. The room was small, but comfortable, and I appreciated that the bathroom had a window and not just a vent.

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Mercurio in Venice! The location is perfect, just a few minutes' walk from St. Mark's Square, making it ideal for exploring the city. Like most places in Venice, the hotel is tucked away in a narrow street, which made it a bit tricky to find at first—but that's part of the charm! The staff were amazing—friendly, supportive, and always ready to help. I was even upgraded to a better room, which was a lovely surprise! Although breakfast was not included in my reservation, I tried it for one day, and it was very good. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Venice!

Authentic and lovely hotel at the center of the city. Amazing view from the windows to one of the canals. It was quite romantic to hear and look at the singing gondola drivers right from your window. Stylish rooms with mediteranian feel and style. So romantic and beautuliful, we didn't want to leave. Excellent breakfast with a great coffee. Still, the best thing is the kindness and support from the staff. This was one of the best attitude and support we have ever received. We will always remember our visit not only because of the city, but also because of this hotel! Don't look any further, this is the hotel to stay in Venice.
