Hotel Casa Petrarca’s exceptional location is its greatest asset. Situated just minutes from Piazza San Marco, the hotel offers unparalleled convenience for exploring Venice’s main attractions. During our day tour, we had enough time during a lunch break to return to our room to freshen up and use the facilities — something we’ve never been able to do at other hotels due to distance. The staff was welcoming and made check-in effortless, adding to the positive first impression.

Our room was quite compact, even by European hotel standards, which meant navigating around luggage required some creativity. However, the smaller space did have one unexpected benefit: the air conditioning cooled the room quickly and efficiently. Despite the limited space, the hotel’s prime location and friendly service make it a solid choice. The convenience of being steps away from Venice’s most famous landmarks outweighs the room size constraints. We would definitely stay at Hotel Casa Petrarca again and recommend it to other travelers who prioritize location and accessibility.

A dream place to stay!! Our room was small but perfect for us two and had everything that we needed. We shared a bathroom with another room and there were no trouble with it + it was spotless clean throughout the day. The location is unbeatable: right in the center of Venice but in a quiet little street which we loooved. I’d definitely consider staying here again! Thank you!!!

Our AC unit was extremely loud to the point where it seemed broken. We were in room 2, you might want to book some maintenance for it. I also appreciated having somewhere to leave our bags between the 10:30am checkout and our evening flight, however it made me uneasy having them out in the open in the downstairs lobby area (even though the front door requires a key or code). A locked cupboard or something similar would have put me more at ease.

Casa Petrarca is located near major attractions: 5 min walk to Rialto bridge , 5 min walk to Piazza San Marco . It is also located in the quiet street / alley , surrounded by shopping streets, restaurants and canals. The room is beautiful, nicely decorated , clean; well functioning AC ( very important in Venice ) . Our room has a nice view of the canals . You can see gondola from the window. The room is also light and airy, without any carpeting ( a plus for allergy sufferer ) . Breakfast is simple , yet nutrituous and delicious . The host /manager is very pro active and helpful with any tours and direction from / to airport , as well as train station . We really enjoyed our stay . Sole the dog is also very welcoming and friendly. We had a wonderful time. One thing : If you need a very large bathroom , this is not the hotel you want to pick .

This property was wonderful, very homey. Small room but very cosy and all we needed for our short stay. The location was fantastic, we were right in the middle of everything, but it was still quiet at night. The shared bathroom was regularly cleaned. Self check-in process was easy to follow and the hosts were there in the morning for breakfast if you have any questions, otherwise you can contact them on easily on WhatsApp.

The staff was incredibly friendly and the location was prime! Upon arrival, the staff was so welcoming. The check in process was easy and everyone was very pleasant. This ended up being one of my favorite places I stayed in Italy solely based on the warm and welcoming energy. They help with my luggage and offered an upgrade that they had available at the time. The property was in a great location. It was conveniently located next to all the shops and restaurants. It was set in a little alley just off the main path that was safe and charming. The property inside was clean and cozy.

Everything was absolutely perfect! The room was clean and had everything we needed. The owner was very friendly and helped us with restaurants recommendations, transportation advice, and even got us a clothes steamer when we asked. Breakfast and coffee were also included and it was tasty, with wide plenty options to choose from. Finally, the location was amazing since the hotel is 5 minutes walk from the St. Marko’s basilica, and yet it is in a calm street so you can normally sleep at night. All in all, we could not recommend this place more!

The location is central and walkable to everything. The canal view room is absolutely worth the extra money! We loved watching the gondolas and hearing the singing and music throughout the day. It was very quiet at night as well. Breakfast was lovely and they had a coffee and tea station in the lobby for early risers.

Wouldn’t change anything. It’s not easy to find (it’s Venice!) but the instructions for finding it from the train station were flawless.

It was a cozy and charming little hotel. Very clean and Valentina ( the owner) was exceptional. She made us feel welcomed and gave us recommendations of where to eat and what to see in Venice. We had a wonderful room overlooking the canal. We watched the gondolas go by from our window which made our stay here even more special. I would highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed here with two kids ( 5 years and 9 years old). The location is perfect. It is very close to San Marco and Rialto but it is not crowded street. The room is clean and big enough according to Venice standards. We have a nice canal view. The owner is very helpful. We did need a stroller and she found a place for rent and arrange the pick up from hotel which saves us. They serve a nice breakfast.
