Location ideal for wandering around Venice with nearby eating places

The staff was incredibly friendly. The room was very clean, and the beds were very comfortable. The hotel is located in a very quiet courtyard that is close to many major tourist attractions without having to deal with loud noises interrupting your sleep. There is a reliable elevator. One of the highlights was definitely the daily breakfast. There was such a wide variety of foods every day, and the cappuccino was incredible! If I ever return to Venice, I will stay here again.

When we first checked in, the hotel is a little hard to find since it’s in a very private courtyard off the beaten path.

It was absolutely amazing! From the moment when we came to the hotel early in the morning, it was a pleasure. We were offered a restroom to change, switch our handbags and backpacks and it was possible to even use a shower. We could leave our backpacks at the hotel long before our check in. The room was everything we needed, nicely furnitured, air conditioned and the beds were really comfortable. The buffet breakfast offered a wide variety of sweet and salty options. And the location of the hotel was top tier, 5 minutes to Riato, 5 minutes to the San Marco Square, so everything was really close. If I will ever come back to Venice, I will come back to this hotel!

Great location, 5 mins walk to Rialto and 5 mins to Piazza San Marco. Hotel is down a tiny side street, I missed it first time even with Google maps! It's a lovely, quiet location, and once found, never forgotten! Staff at check-in were fabulous, especially Jacob and Asia. Jacob even walked me to my room, pointed out all the amenities: this was a very nice touch. Room had a plug in insect repellent, which was very much appreciated. A/C was excellent. Room was a good size for a single, bathroom was smallish but had everything I needed. Room and bathroom were very clean. Breakfast was very good, with a great selection in the buffet and there was also a menu to order from. Tea and coffee were also good.

Nothing to not like, I had a really lovely stay here and thought it excellent value for the price. I'll be back!!!

Hotel Al Codega is located in a very safe area. The hotel itself is tucked away through a small passage, not directly on a public walkway, which adds an extra layer of security. I was impressed that even though the hotel is relatively small, it offers complete facilities. Its location is also excellent, being close to key attractions in Venice, making it easy and convenient to explore the city and enjoy a full day in Venice. When I arrived and had trouble finding the hotel, the staff were very helpful, which left a great impression. The breakfast was quite good as well.

The hotel is located on the far side of the island, making it difficult to travel to the main train station. Although taking the vaporetto (water bus) is affordable, I personally did not want to risk safety concerns. Because of the distance, it was inconvenient when trying to travel to destinations outside of Venice.

Breakfast spread was lovely, plenty options for all tastes. The location couldn't be any more central, was so easy to get to all the main tourist sites. The room was clean tidy and well laid out. Bathroom was immaculate. The only thing that was bothering me was the windows and shutters being closed all the time making it quite dark! I feel the pigeons at the window was probably the reason. So i guess better shutters closed than a pigeon in your room. Over all a fantastic experience.

Hotel Al Codega was amazing! The staff was incredibly kind and helpful from the very beginning — they even arranged a water taxi to pick us up at the train station, which made our arrival so much smoother. The location was phenomenal: within a 15-minute walk, we could reach all of Venice’s main attractions. Despite being so central, the hotel is tucked away in a quiet courtyard, which gave us a peaceful retreat after long days of exploring. Breakfast and the hotel facilities were great — everything was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully arranged. We’re really happy to have found this hotel and to have had it as part of our Italy journey!

Very nice breakfast with lots of choices. Amazing location; you're minutes away from St. Marks Square, the Rialto Bridge and other well known landmarks (such as Scala Contarini del Bovolo, which is literally right behind the hotel!) Staff is very accommodating. We arrived early around 11:00AM and even though we could officially not check in until 2:00PM, they gave us a cup of coffee and got a room ready for us within 20 minutes!

The room was a bit warm at times, because the AC could not be turned on yet (we were there end of April)

Hotel was excellent. Very charming, clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I ordered a surprise bottle of prosecco to the room as a birthday surprise and they prepared everything as agreed, and the wine was complementary in the end. Very nice surprise. Breakfast was amazing. Location is perfect, very close to the main square and yet very quiet in the night as it's located in a small courtyard. Room was exactly like it was on the pictures. I would definitely recommend this hotel and I would come back again.

The hotel location is great, room very clean and comfortable. The staff is extraordinarily helpful, friendly and kind, we had some special requests which were all immediately solved. Breakfast so diverse and plentiful, everything so tasty and appetizing!

Maybe an electric kettle in the room would be nice. However, when I wanted a cup of tea at 10 o`clock in the evening, they immediately provided me with the hot water I needed.
