Excellent choice of a place to stay that was easy to get to all of the main areas. It was very close to the Rialto bridge and ferry stop so getting to and from the airport was easy. You could find all stores that you needed within steps, groceries, clothes, and souvenirs. Great places to eat nearby. Would stay there again!

A clearer sign of the hotel is needed. The font used with the sign was hard to read. Thus the hotel was a little difficult to find as it is down a small side street. However the location of La Scala was great!!!

The location of this hotel is excellent - right around the corner from Rialto Bridge and an easy walk to San Marco area. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious.

Our only real complaint about this hotel was the bath/shower. The tub was very deep (hard to step into) and had no safety grips anywhere. The shower door was a folding glass thing, very difficult to navigate. I was uncomfortable with my adult daughter with special needs using it by herself (she has some balance/mobility issues) so I had her sit in the tub and washed her hair for her. I actually was nervous using it myself.

The room was a really nice style with a beautiful painting above the bed. Cristian and his staff were so friendly and welcoming as well as being very helpful with any request we had. Cristian messaged beforehand to give us recommendations on the best form of travel and the times for the boat which we really appreciated. The bed was big and comfortable. It was easy to come and go with a key card for the main door and room door. The shutters meant you could get a good nights sleep and not be disturbed by light.

We struggled to work out the air conditioning so got a bit hot but in fairness we didn’t ask for help either!

The location was great. The room was clean, a housekeeper visits the room and does the cleaning on a daily basis, providing new towels and bathroom supplies. The guy at the reception who works during daytime (I forgot to get his name) was very friendly and helpful. When I told him there were no slippers in the room he rushed to get a pair for me. The room was really small but neat. Warm enough during a relatively cold time of the year. Furniture was old but generally well kept. There was no problem with the pressure or temperature of the water.

There was no kettle or coffee machine in the room. No complimentary water, either. There’s a bad odour coming out of the toilet when flushed. Noise insulation is bad, I could hear people walking in the room above mine, let alone their laughters etc.

I couldn't be happier with my experience at this property! The staff truly went above and beyond to ensure my stay was perfect. A special shoutout to Jo, who was absolutely incredible. I had forgotten my wallet in my room, and Jo not only called to inform me but also personally walked me—carrying my luggage—just to help me catch my flight in time. It's rare to come across such genuine kindness and care. Thank you, Jo, and the rest of the amazing team. Highly recommend this place for its exceptional service!

The hotel has a terrific location. It's only about a four-or five-minute walk from the Grand Canal and Realto ferry drop-off next to the Realto Bridge, and a ten-minute walk to Piazza San Marco. The location puts it just far enough from the hustle and bustle of the tourist area yet close to the action there. The hotel is also almost surrounded by good restaurants and shops within a two-to-five-minute walk. The hotel rooms are small, but clean and comfortable. If you don't like stairs, we did, there is a nice elevator. The hotel does not serve any breakfast, but that was fine. We enjoyed walking a short distance each morning to find a pastry shop or cafe. The desk clerk who checked us in on the night of September 18, 2024, was extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay. All the clerks were terrific. If you had a question, they had an answer.

Cristian and other staff members were really helpful and gave us some good tips for what to see and where to go. The location was brilliant and a little out the way from the main street in a quiet alley. It was comfortable and very cosy, we weren't cold at all! It was fine for the short stay we had.

The room was tiny but this was fine as we weren't in it very much. The walls are quite thin and so we could often hear noise from the streets outside or from neighbouring rooms, which wasn't great when you're trying to get to sleep.

Palazzo La Scala is a relatively small hotel ideally located down a side street just 2 minutes from Rialto ferry/water bus stop. The chap at reception was extremely friendly, chatty & knowledgeable about everything. The elevator is also right round the corner from reception which is handy. The room was extremely clean, surprisingly comfortable & really quiet, even with the window open. There is also an excellent shop at the boat stop too & of course there are HUNDREDS of different places to eat nearby, for whatever you're after. It's also only a 5 minute walk from St Marks square with the place & cathedral. I was actually really impressed with the place & would definitely consider staying again

Safe and central location Receptionist to help with questions and always greeted as we came and went Check in was so smooth. I needed to use the bathroom and the receptionist understood the urgency and quickly gave me the room key. Allowed me to continue the check in after. Receptionists personal and speak English Great cheese and meat shop next door Reviews comment on the small room size. It was small but not a problem

The mattress was worn and caused me to slide to the middle of the bed. Pillows too stiff

The staff were fantastic, made us feel welcome and offered us tips. They were extremely helpful! The location is superb, a short straight walk from vaporetto Rialto stop. And it was in between Piazza San Marco and Rialto Bridge. Perfect location 👍I highly recommend this hotel

We like everything about this hotel, however i would like to pass a suggestion, to put a kettle and some tea and coffee.
