I can't imagine a better location for a stay in Venice. The hotel is steps away from the Rialto Bridge and right next to the canal. If you are arriving from the airport, I would strongly recommend that you consider taking the vaporetto water bus from the airport to the hotel. The drop off point is only steps away from the hotel - a totally painless way to arrive at the hotel. Also, you should be aware that there are 2 buildings - if you enter the building without the hotel's recpeption area, you are in the wrong building to check-in. (The buildings are right next to each other). We stayed in low season and we thought the room was a bargain given the location. The room was also very nicely decorated and it felt safe. Also, just a tip in case you need to replenish supplies, there is a mini supermarket just steps away.

Although there is a lift in the building for the hotel, there are some steps that you will have to navigate to get to the floor where the hotel/your room is actually located. We managed fine but, if you have heavy luggage, this is something you should be aware of.

We absolutely loved our stay at EGO Residence! It was right off the rialto orange line stop from the airport, you can't get more convenient than that. Plus our room was so clean, so cozy and so nicely done. It was a very quiet location, being on the side canal and the breakfast was wonderful. If you like eggs for breakfast, eat here, because you might be hard pressed to find some eggs on the streets somewhere. We loved it so much that we almost asked if they had a second night available, but we did already have a booking somewhere else in Italy. I will 100% be staying here again, every time I come to Venice.

Almost next door to Rialto bridge. The vaperatto is opp the hotel so are water taxis. The hotel staff is very helpful & willing to assist in everything. Breakfast was not included in our room rate but we chose to have it ala carte & it was very good. Room was nicely decorated with counters for keeping your things. There was a big cupboard too to keep your clothes. Hotel also arranged for assisted water taxi from airport. Although it was a splurge it helped in us not having to find a ride on our own. The bed was comfortable & the bed pillows were great. Note: altho there is a lift, you have to go up 10 steps to reach the elevator. Checking in, we were helped with our bags by the staff. But checking out, we had to do it on our own & it was difficult for us older folks!

Being so close to Rialto bridge is a good & a bad thing. It is a tourist hub but is jam packed with too many people. Literally had to elbow my way thru the crowds. Wish this hotel was near Accademia bridge. It’s much quieter, prettier canals & bridges. Also hotel must install better trays for shampoo/soap in the shower. The one in there had a slatted base & everything kept falling.

It was certainly easy to travel by Vaporetto from S.Lucia rail station to this property. The apartment was true to photographs and very comfortable. The breakfast room on the first floor above the front desk afforded an extraordinary view over the Grand Canal very near the Rialto Bridge. We appreciated the classical music being played on the PA. The breakfast included was huge and attentively served. There is an ease of access to Vaporetto and a quick walk to San Marco Piazza and other neighbourhoods. We enjoyed our time at Ego Residenze, Venice.

Checking in was complicated by no clear indication that the Foyer was through a different door to the property address provided. Following a phone call, the desk clerk found us and showed us to our apartment.

Beautiful & clean; great location

We asked the hotel to arrange a water taxi to airport on 4/24 that could be paid by card. Taxi arrived as requested but when paying driver said his card machine did not work. We had to use Euronet atm inside airport thus receiving a terrible exchange rate. Then when giving him the euros he said he did not have change. This also took an additional 20 min of out time before boarding airplane. Very displeased with driver & would not recommend him. We know this is not a reflection of hotel but hotel staff should be aware & not use him again.

Such a beautiful room. Even better than the photos. Located right next to the rialto bridge and less than 5 minutes walk to st marks square. Spotlessly clean. Staff extremely welcoming and helpful. Water bus leaves from directly outside to take you back to airport and only €10 per person. Complimentary chilled water in the fridge on arrival. There is a shop next door which was handy for room snacks and drinks.

The door to our room wouldn’t open unless you knew a little hack! In room ‘pantalone’ turn the key and pull the handle towards you instead of twisting the knob! Opens effortlessly when you know how but we did have to ask housekeeping as we literally couldn’t get in. We personally found it quite funny but not sure what we’d have done is housekeeping weren’t there to show us. Once shown we had no issues getting in and out. Disabled guests would need to be careful as even though there are lifts there are still a couple of steps to the rooms.

Location, cleanliness, comfortable bed but most of all the staff. Staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. Shower and bathroom were large. Water pressure was great.

I say this with the understanding that America and Europe are very different with regard to air conditioning… Venice was very hot while we were there and we are accustomed to a much colder climate, both indoors and outdoors. It was simply uncomfortable to sleep at that temperature the first night. The staff provided us with a fan that helped immensely. Our next two nights were much more comfortable.

Great location. A quick water bus trip from the train station to the Rialto stop, over one bridge and we were there. The room was nice enough (but a little over furnished). The staff were extremely nice, and very helpful.

It was in an historic building (used to be a palace) and it did have a lift. Had to go up some steps to the lift, travel to the 2nd floor, then go down some steps. Not great with lots of luggage! But I’d still stay there again….just with less luggage! Also, it’s advertised as having a canal view. Only if you risk hanging out of the window!

Location, location, location. About 100 yards from Rialto Bridge and water taxis and vaporetto stops are very close. Rooms are a mix of the old world with modern amenities. The property was clean and safe.

Somewhat difficult to find. The front desk is housed behind a glassdoor entrance labeled Silk Road. Pay close attention to your maps directions.

The staff were exceptional. There was a local 24 hour public bus and water-boat strike the day we arrived. The hotel informed us in advance and provided detailed information on alternative ways to travel from airport to hotel. The location is excellent near the Rialto bridge with a quiet route (5 min walk) to St Marks Square right beside the hotel. The rooms were very comfortable and quiet. Internet is free. The breakfast is excellent. We look forward to staying here again soon.
