Very nice. Very clean. A great view from the breakfast room. Staff very friendly. Spoke good English. Apartment was offered to us in the building next door. This was very spacious. Good bed. Very quiet area even though it's beside the Rialto.

Three flights of stairs at the entrance to reception area. No lift. Also I was under the impression by the wording that breakfast was included. This cost €15 a head extra.

Interesting historic building, friendly staff, central location but in a quiet side street (no noise at all), delicious breakfast, comfortable bed. Lovely view of the Grand Canal from the breakfast room. The bedroom actually had a bath, rather than just a shower, and that was the main reason we chose it. We noticed no problems with the area.

They were very honest, telling us there was no lift or porter (though the staff did help with our luggage). No use to anyone who could not climb stairs. We could have had a room on a lower floor, but it had no bath and was smaller. As usual in hotels, we found it too hot to sleep well, even with a thin duvet, as we normally would sleep with just a sheet in this weather.

Location is great, Easy to reach all close by landmarks. Famous stairs are no problem whatsoever. However, not for people with mobility issues and a lot of luggage I would say. Loved my room. Very clean, gorgeous terrazzo flooring, huge bathroom. Kettle available in room for tea/instant coffee. Reception personnel, available 0-24, kind and helpful. Breakfast room was delight. Just the view alone is worth the stay. Croissant for breakfast. Chef's kiss.

It is a bit tricky to get there from train station. If not using taxi boat, it is best to use vaporetto if carrying luggage. This is due to Venice layout, not hotel issue. During breakfast, you need to ask if you want to have eggs, cheese, cold cuts. It is not clearly stated on the menu what exactly can you ask for (or at least I could not find it). Also, coffee from coffee machine was abomination. Luckily, we're in Italy, so great coffee is always just around the corner.

The view in room one was amazing. The staff was friendly and helpful with everything from a steamer to helping with our lost luggage. It was very clean!! Loved having coffee ready by the staff in the morning! Yes, the building is historic but we had comfy beds, great air conditioning, and hot water. Nice location as well. The breakfast was simple- nothing fancy but it was nice to start out with fruit, yogurt, eggs, or a croissant before heading out for the day.

We over packed and they mention the stairs with luggage. The stairs were fine once we got the luggage up and back down. I would stay there again regardless of the stairs.

Location is everything here, of course, and overlooking the grand canal you can't go wrong. The room was clean and tidy, quite old-fashioned (no Holiday Inn, this - a good thing!) and staff were universally lovely.

Nothing, really. It's exactly as advertised, though don't ignore the bit about stairs - there are 69 of them and no lift so knees and heart better be in good nick.

Everything! Yes, also the stairs ;) The house itself is very old and therefore there is no option to install an elevator. But after this workout of climbing the stairs you earned yourself a good pizza! ;) The room had a nice size, and everything was clean. The decoration reminded me of a Venetian Palazzo and the bed was super comfy. The breakfast was very good: at first it doesn't look that much, but they serve you to the table a bread basket with a selection of bread, and if you want an omelette or a fried egg to keep everything fresh. Toast and jams are available buffet style as well as OJ, water, coffee, fruits and yoghurt. The staff is so nice and helpful and provide you with information on the city and where to go for ice cream or to dine. The location is absolutely excellent and right next to the Rialto Bridge in the heart of the city. We would stay there again in a heartbeat! Thank you for everything!

Our stay was truly exceptional! The location was perfect, right near the iconic Rialto Bridge. It was easily accessible from Santa Lucia station via the No. 1 ferry, which was much less crowded compared to the No. 2 ferry. All the main attractions were within easy walking distance or a quick ferry ride away, making it extremely convenient to explore Venice. The room was very spacious and beautifully decorated, creating a cozy and elegant atmosphere. The highlight was the breathtaking view from our room, overlooking the Grand Canal and the Rialto Bridge, both in the mornings and the evenings. The staff were incredibly accommodating and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable.

The hotel is located on the third floor with no elevator access, but the staff had informed us well in advance, so we were prepared and it wasn’t a problem at all.

Mattress and pillows nice firm. Breakfast is top knotch, with a view over Grand canal to match, and staff throughout very friendly, with particular mention to the filipino breakfast manager who I unfortunately forgot to ask his name. AC was perfect for the peak humidity and heat and an extra hair dryer was provided. Location was perfect and room on top floor was quite and private.

If you have a bad leg, you would struggle with the amount of stairs to get to third floor to enter the hotel.

The hair dryer. It was the type fixed to the wall & takes ages to dry hair. Not an issue for us & though warned about the stairs, they do go up three floors in one vertical sweep with no resting places. This could be an issue for some.

Location is fantastic!! It is really easy and quick to walk to the top Venice sights from the hotel (Rialto bridge is literally just outside it). We loved the style of the hotel too as it felt Venetian and thought had gone into it. Staff were very friendly, always with a smile on their faces :) Breakfast was lovely, continental style, not the largest selection but we were very full by it each day! The stairs didn’t bother us at all, it’s Venice so we’re already walking most the time and doing steps for the bridges, so an additional staircase really didn’t seem significant!

Nothing, would stay here again!
