The hotel is very nice and we loved it. The room was big.

The breakfast was very nice however we didn’t understand since it was a buffet why we coudn’t serve ourselves, instead we had to ask for the food. The food we ate was very good.

Palazzo Giovanelli is incredibly well located in S. Polo, the heart of Venice on the Grand Canal. Facilities very good, we were upgraded to a new room, with a great marble bathroom. Giovanelli breathes the old flair of the lagoon city, which is missing in many touristy parts of the city. Cafés and bars at good prices and used by the locals round off the intimate flair. Rialto is within easy walking distance, if you absolutely need the crowded St. Mark's Square in August, you are also there (vaporetto in front of the door). Many real sights on the doorstep (like Antonio Canova's tomb). top Additional info, for the Austrian and musicologist: W. A. Mozart and his father lived for 4 months as guests in the Palazzo Giovanelli. Cool. We will be back.

Staff was friendly and efficient, room was elegant, clean and comfortable, very quiet at night, convenient to the ACTV and attractions without being in a super crowded neighborhood

No complaints at all, would suggest adding whole grain bread to the breakfast selection, but otherwise food was good

Really nice once you get into the property. A little tricky to find. Breakfast was great and the staff were so nice. Our room was huge, a little odd but it worked.

The AC wasn’t available which was a bummer since we had a small window with no screens. Shower didn’t work that well.

Hotel was nice and the staff were nice. But for being a small of hotel I would have thought they were be a little more friendly. They didn’t do anything wrong just didn’t go above. Over all it was a good experience but would have been excellent if the staff acted like them remember us at all.

Staff could have offered to help make suggestions or get help on where to go.

Beautiful decor. Perfect location for walking wherever we needed to go. Staff were superbly helpful without being too much in your space.

An outdoor area overlooking the grande canal would have been excellent but I know it’s not infeasible. So it wasn’t a dislike more of a wish. We would have wanted to spend more time at the property.

I love the staff, all very kind, very attentive.....the hotel is beautiful and the shower was amazing. Everything was clean, and if we needed anything they were always around with a happy smile to help. LOVED our stay.

great choice and was served to your table for breakfast. loved the bottle of bubbles on arrival a nice touch. the people at the front desk were extremely helpful after most of the transport went on strike

Quiet traditional boutique hotel conveniently located next to a Grand Canal ferry stop. Service was excellent.

No restaurant other than for breakfast, but a great morning breakfast was included.

Breakfast was very good, especially the croissants. The staff was friendly and informative. We loved the location of this hotel. The patio was very welcoming.
