The interior was good . The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The toilet was big and nicely made up .

It was understood that as per my booking and earlier request I should have a deluxe room with canal view . However I was given a side room with no view overlooking another side house . Upon my request another canal view room was given with extra cost . Though the canal view room was vacant my earlier request were ignored . Felt this was unfair and just an extra cost . The property photographs shows canal view which prompts people to get attracted to book but can be disappointing experience with the side view rooms . Upon request electric kettle was given.

We had to book a hotel at short notice when we arrived in Venice for work late on a hot day and our accommodation had been booked to start on the wrong day. A quick scan of Booking found the Hotel Cendon nearby and we booked a night there. The hotel is pleasantly old-fashioned in a good way, but our room on the ground floor was impeccably clean and spacious, with very welcome air conditioning. Staff were kind and welcoming and made us feel at home. Our room on the ground floor was quite basic but very comfortable, those upstairs look really quite special from the hotel's website.

The bathroom was quite small.

This choice of hotel was all about location, location, location, but turned out to be much better than we expected. We wanted to be walking distance to the Venice train station, which turned out to be the case. But it is adjacent to a pretty canal without too much noise. The room was traditionally decorated, but very clean with some nice touches (including some little candies). The breakfast room is adorable, with a very nice buffet breakfast, served by capable staff. It is good value for Venice, and we would definitely stay there again.

This hotel has traditional decor, so if you're looking for something modern, look elsewhere.

The place is well connected, but quiet. Friendly staff, breakfast is very good, I was chosing a hotel with breakfast and I am quite happy with a full breakfast. I was also glad that my room had a nice big table to write on. Cool that it's a historical building and the room has nice looking furniture.

I was staying at the ground floor room and sometimes in the evening I could hear people at the bar across the street, I think through the ventilation in the bathroom. But it wasn't every day and once I closed the door it wasn't too loud anymore.

We were received well, even though we arrived near midnight. The staff is friendly and speaks English. We absolutely loved that the room we received was clean, comfy and spacious, and we'd definitely book this one again if we'll come again to the wonderful La Serenissima.

The only minor downside I could think of is that the location is a bit far from Piazza San Marco and Palazzo Ducale, but that doesn't matter at all because Venezia is small enough to travel from one side to the other in around half an hour. This also offers you a unique experience to explore its narrow and full of history streets.

The location was great as Waterbus from the airport stopped just along from the hotel, then a short walk across a ponte. Room had a balcony over the canal up on the second floor, which was great as we could have the doors open at night to sleep. Evenings sitting there was lovely soaking up the night atmosphere. Restaurants around the hotel were handy and away from the main tourist area. Short walk to train station too. Bed was comfortable, and room had a Venetian style to it, which made for a true Venuce experience. Breakfast was included in our stay and was a lovely selection. A complimentary bottle of sparkling wine was a nice touch. Thank you.

Lady who runs the breakfast service is excellent. Very traditional, very customer focused and the breakfast is great. Cannaregio is our preferred location in Venice, and Al Parlamento bar is next to the hotel. The bar has a good vibe and popular with 20-30 age group. Going back to hotel, the staff are welcoming, the rooms are comfortable, and the linen whether in bathroom, on bed or breakfast table is as clean as you can get. Room and location were quiet so got good nights sleep. Need to understand that you will pay a premium for Venice and a further premium for staying during Carnivale. Also rooms in Venice and Rome can be smaller than elsewhere such as Bologna.

Breakfast room can get overwhelmed when everyone arrives for breakfast at same time.

Beautiful hotel. The room had lovely furniture. Some have been a bit negative in reviews, but we thought it was really comfortable. We were only there for one night, but the staff were friendly and helpful. The location is just out of the way, so it was very peaceful. However, we were able to wheel our luggage to Piazzale Roma comfortably in 20 minutes. (We are not so young, so that included slowly lugging it over the bridge between the train and bus stations).

Liked it all. There wasn't a kettle, but the staff lent us one when I enquired about tea. (We took our own tea...older English people thing!)

Exceptionally helpful and welcoming staff, my stay was great and the location is 10 minutes away from the Train/Bus stations, local water bus station was just 2 minutes away and there were plenty of restaurants to choose from. We were given a personal guide of the residence and the utilities, good breakfast for the price with an good choice range of products available for the price of the breakfast, would highly recommend it instead of dinning outside in the morning.

Although from my personal preference I did not have any issues with the bed, my mother did not like the sturdiness of the mattress/bed frame, so if you prefer sleeping on a softer surface it would be recommended to bring it up, the staff would be happy to help you out in my experience :).

Hotel is well located. Easy water taxi transport. It is a little old inside, rooms are a bit dated. But that does add to the overall Venice feel. When we arrived we were advised we could check in, went up to the room and it hadn't actually been cleaned yet. The staff were nice about it and got it sorted within 30 mins. They had been really busy with checkouts, so an honest mistake. Some lovely little bars nearby and it is lovely and quiet in the night time. Would recommend for a couple as price was really good for Venice.

Not having 24/7 check in staff was a little strange.. Just plopping our key on the front desk when we checked out early, but wouldn't put me off booking again. For the price we paid, I was really happy.
