The Ca' Dei Leoni accommodation is a nice small hotel located in a quiet square just a few minutes away from the Venezia Santa Lucia train station. If you look it up on G. Maps you will find it as Ca Due Leoni. The host was very friendly and gave us great tips on what to see and do around Venice, clearly very knowledgeable about art and history, he was a real pleasure to talk to and took great care of us throughout our stay. The hotel is in a great location, away from the 'day tourists' but not too far from public transport. We really enjoyed our stay and will reconsider coming back and staying again in this lovely hotel. The bathroom facilities are excellent, very comfortable shower and all is thought of. The morning breakfast is lovely, but be careful of mosquitoes in the back garden.

Our bed was very creaky, and even though it was comfortable, every time we moved we would wake each other up due to the noise. We did not discuss this with the host since we only spent 1 night and otherwise everything else was perfect.

The people at the reception were extremely helpful and friendly. They were the best host! They provided us with great tips to enjoy Venice and we absolutely did. The location is great too. It was walkable distance from bus terminal, very close to boat bus stop and still quiet area of the city.

I could feel the humidity and mould due to not being ventilated enough although the place was clean. But it was one of the cheapest accommodation in Venice and we only stayed for 1 night so we were ok. I believe if we opted more expensive room in the hotel it’d have been probably great experience overall.

Hotel is a historic building, so expect touches of a rustic feel - which we loved. Nicolo - who was at the réception and whom we met often at the desk is super pleasant, helpful and a kind person. He made suggestions for places we had in mind, helped with travel tips and overall in general was a delightful soul, always smiling and welcoming. Room was comfy, air conditioned, had toiletries including a hair dryer. Breakfast was nice - in the garden with the pigeons :) Also location in Cannaregio was perfect - well connected and in itself a wonderful neighborhood to explore!

Nice location close to the train station but away from the crowds and tourist traps. Staff was great even having breakfast 15 minutes earlier so we could make our tour time. Simple room that made a great base camp for our Venice trip.

While the quiet location was great it was a little farther from the central sights than I thought. Not terrible though. About a half hour walk to St Marks and Doge Palace. The worst problem was the seagull that serenaded us on occasion in the early morning when trying to sleep in. Not the properties fault and not enough to keep me away. I would stay there again.

Location was very convenient. Was close to the vaporetto stop, however you could walk to the train or parking station. Nicolo at the front desk was super helpful. He had a wealth of knowledge and was willing to provide suggestions and advice. The room was comfortably arranged. Breakfast was good however was an Italian breakfast with no meat or eggs. We had a gluten sensitivity and asked for gluten free options and they brought out GF toast and cakes. The waitstaff was very accommodating and friendly. Our son enjoyed using the provided squirt gun to discourage pigeons from getting close to the breakfast tables 😄 🔫

We had a very pleasant stay at Ca' Dei Leoni, in its very familiar and personalized experience. The staff was great, the person at the reception helped us with information and a map when we first arrived in Venice. And on the next day told us a lot of stories about the city and his experiences when asked. The breakfast wasn't anything out of this world, but it did its job well and kept us fed throughout the morning. The place is outside of the common touristy areas which keeps you away from the constant noise and has multiple vaporetto stops nearby if you don't wish to walk back. The walk from the airport vaporetto stop is about 10 minutes and only included one bridge on the way, which was nice.

The place has very thin walls and outside noises can sometimes wake you up in the middle of the night. The place is old, like half of Venice, so creaks and thuds can be heard, but it didn't really bother us. Oh, and as other reviewers said, there are pigeons in the courtyard for breakfast, but they don't really bother you. They mostly leap onto empty tables to pick the remains of bread left by other visitors.

The location was perfect - a quiet peaceful corner of the city away from all the tourists. The room was comfortable and very historic. I enjoyed breakfast on the veranda every morning and the staff were very friendly with us. I highly recommend staying here.

The room was a little small but not a major problem. Breakfast is the same for everyone apart from the drinks, so if you like jam and croissants that's fine but apart from that there's not really much choice. Also the pigeons descend for your breakfast in the masses, I adore pigeons so this didn't bother me but it may do for other people.

Charming room in a perfect location! Not noisy outside at all. Great breakfast served outside by Paola, who was exceptionally nice to us and made our stay very enjoyable! She seemed more like a good friend and not just a staff member. Thank you Paola! The hotel was close to everything we needed including the vaporetto! We spent three nights there and loved our experience! Nicoli (I believe his name was) at the front desk was also incredibly helpful and charming and let us keep our bags there after checkout so we could get something to eat. I hope to go back again one day! Thank you for everything! We love Venice and love this hotel!

I can't think of anything I didn't like really.

The hotel was in a convenient location, just a 10/15 minute walk from the railway station. I'm terms of the hotel itself, this quaint typical venetian building was tucked away inside one of the cities many countryards leading to a quiet and relaxed stay. We stayed just the one night, but would've happily stayed more. The staff were friendly and above all helpful in terms of navigating through the streets of Venice. The breakfast was served in their garden, with the staff doing a good job to serve it promptly.

The in room facilities were lacking, there was no coffee machine for one, but it did not detract from our stay as you spent most of your time out and about.

Location was close to all water and train transportation so you didn't have to drag your luggage far. The room was a complete surprise as started on the second floor and ended on the third floor. The views were of greenery, piazza's and private. Lots of natural light yet, heavy drapes to keep the sun out while sleeping. This was a two story bedroom with the full bath and sitting area on the first floor. Breakfast (included) was amazing!

It could use a handrail on the stairs in side this particular room. We were very careful going down the stairs in the night to use the private bathroom.
