Amazing location, walkable from the bus and train station and literally around the corner from a vaporetto hub and the Scalzi bridge, and still calm for being in a quiet side street. The photos do the rooms justice, comfy beds and beautiful bathroom, very clean, with a fridge, and as others have noted - the breakfast is truly excellent. A little too much on the sweet side for my particular taste, I would have liked more savoury options, but the quality and variety of choice cannot be faulted (even my non-sweet-tooth tested itself through their delicious cakes). Crucially: steady and speedy wifi.

Oddly, the curtains only framed the window, and the shutters were bolted open, and although we asked for help twice, nothing could be done, so we had to macgyver the curtains over the windows semi-shut with some hair-ties so the light from the street wouldn't keep us awake.

all minor issues were correctly addressed

This hotel was in a great location. Close to the train and the water taxis. Breakfast was included and was good. It is a small room, no frills, but the price is right and the location is fantastic. The staff was very helpful. You should note that an uber or other car will not get you to the hotel. They will drop you off a couple of blocks away and then you have to drag your luggage over a large bridge - it is very difficult after many hours of traveling. However, this is a great option for Venice at a good rate.

I tried to find out from the hotel the best way to get from the airport to the hotel and they arranged a car service, which was great. But as I mentioned above, it drops you off no where near the hotel. It would have been better to take a water taxi. I wish the hotel staff had communicated that option as the best.

Our stay at Venice Maggior Consiglio turned out to be a real gem! The location is perfect – just a short walk from the Venice Santa Lucia train station, which was super convenient since we arrived by train. We also loved being near the Canareggio district. We spent a lot of time exploring the charming streets and discovering cozy local restaurants filled with Venetians. There were also some fantastic exhibitions, and we truly enjoyed the romantic vibe of the area. The room itself was small but modern and had everything we needed – towels, a hairdryer, shower gels, shampoos, soap, and even cotton swabs. There was also tea and coffee provided, which was a nice touch. We received a bottle of Prosecco on my birthday – a thoughtful gesture from the hotel. The place was so peaceful, and we had an amazing night’s sleep. The breakfast was excellent with a variety of options to suit every taste. We even saw a group of Italians (perhaps locals) enjoying breakfast at the hotel, which was a nice sign of quality. A big thank you to the wonderful staff – they made our stay even better. We will definitely stay here again and look forward to returning!

Location is excellent if you arrive by train. 3 minutes walk and no bridges with your suitcase! Check in was smooth and swift and 1 hour earlier than stated. The lift was welcome with two heavy suitcases. Breakfast was lovely - everything you could have wanted - cereals, juices, cheese, hams, pastries, eggs, sausgaes, salad.

We were in room 205 - when the people in the room above used the toilet or the shower it was very loud and sounded like it was raining in the room. Short inconvenience but it did wake up my partner.

Hotel room was clean and spacious for one. Front desk receptionists were very kind and informative on the things to do around Venice. The location of the hotel was also close to the train station and that was very convenient. The area also felt safe with other hotels around and a restaurant in front. Lastly, the breakfast was just your typical hotel breakfast but had a variety of selections. Overall, highly recommend for anyone visiting Venice!

We spent 3 nights in Venice Maggior Consiglio for our honeymoon. The location was ideal, about a 7 minute walk to Piazzale Roma, where we got off the bus from the airport. We were able to walk pretty much everywhere from the hotel. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Beautiful breakfast was included each morning. Would definitely stay here again if we return to Venice.

Nothing, everything was perfect

This hotel was so close to the train station and only took a few minutes to walk. The staff and the room was very nice. The breakfast had many choices and was delicious. The location is so convenient. I purchased in advance the ACTV three day water transportation pass online which included the bus to the airport for 52 euro. From the same website I also purchased the Venezia Unica city pass to Doge’s Palace plus 12 museums and sites for around 40 euro and good for six months. The water bus stop was very close by and the views on the Grand Canal is spectacular. Although the bus stop is close, I took a water bus one stop to the bus stop because there are stairs over a bridge that make it difficult to walk over.

The location is perfect. It is only 2-minute walk from the train station. Even if the hotel is located so close, there was no noise at all. We slept very well. The bed was quite comfortable. The breakfast buffet is reasonable.

The smell in the room. There was a constant annoying bad smell in the bathroom which spread in the room. I informed the staff. They said it is the smell of Venise, but there was no smell/odor in the city at all.

Location in relation to Santa Lucia train station is great and you don’t have to cross a bridge to get there. Easy walk less than 5 minutes. The area has a lot to offer however you will need to use the water bus to get to major attractions or walk which can be 1/2 hour or more but you won’t have to worry about dragging along your suitcase. The Hotel breakfast was definitely worth it with good variety.
