The staff at reception were outstanding! They were very friendly and genuinely helpful, providing good recommendations especially to help avoid tourist traps! All the staff were very sweet and made a big fuss of our 6 month old baby, who loved the attention! Huge thanks particularly to Enrica who was there everyday of our stay and was brilliant! The staff in the bar/breakfast were also always very friendly and attentive. The location was ideal for the train station and exploring. Plenty of restaurants, bars and shops nearby including a small supermarket. Breakfast was always fresh and delicious, we particularly liked the pastries! We loved that we could sit inside or outside in the garden which had plenty of shade. Great blackout curtains in the room and the bed was huge!

It would have been good for the Aircon to be stronger as it wasn't always as cool in the room as we would have liked. Although the room was lovely, it was a little small for the price.

Very convenient location: close to the train station, bus terminal, and vaporetto stop – giving you several options to reach the hotel even with luggage. At the same time, it’s a short and easy walk to the main tourist routes. Despite the proximity to the stations, the area is quiet and free from tourist crowds. The hotel has been recently renovated – everything is neat and stylish. The rooms aren’t very spacious, but that’s typical for Venice. The hotel offers a decent breakfast with excellent coffee, a nice terrace, and a bar with a good selection of single malt whisky. The staff are very polite and attentive.

I really missed having a larger desk and an armchair in the room – the size of the room would have allowed for it.

this hotel is a hidden oasis gem in the hustle and bustle of busy Venice. It’s super close to Santa Lucia railway station and 10 minutes walking from Piazzale Roma. The decor is very stylish and the rooms are big and airy with the bathroom having double vanities. they even provide you with a free mobile phone for local calls and google maps. breakfast is superb, lots of choice, pastries are great and their tranquil courtyard at the back of the breakfast room makes for a serene drink after a busy day walking around the Calle’s. Staff is courteous and they will advice you on where to go eat if you want a quite and authentic food experience!

Absolutely nothing!

This is easy - everything! We were greeted in an incredibly warm and friendly manner which made us felt very welcome. The check-in process itself was incredibly easy and we were even allowed to check bags in early and use one of the rooms early which was amazingly helpful, considering we arrived before our expected check-in time. It’s a very short walk from the Venezia S.L. train station and is so easy to get to and leave from early in the morning! A great place to base yourself for a stay in Venice. Whilst we didn’t get to enjoy the complimentary breakfast, my aunt complained (she beat me downstairs for check-out) about missing out on breakfast and the staff went to the trouble of making up travel breakfast boxes for us! It was our choice that made us miss the breakfast and I’m so sorry she said anything at all! But this was an incredible and unexpected (especially for me, as I didn’t even know this was happening!) extra layer of customer service. Even the communication before arrival was prompt, friendly and helpful! I have nothing but great things to say about the rooms, the location and the staff! Would happily be my first choice when I come back to Venice!

Hotel breakfast was great. Proximity to Santa Lucia Train Station is convenient. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Hotel is aesthetically beautiful.

The shower was very small, with a huge rainfall spigot. You had nowhere to get away from the spray when you lather. Also, the floor was VERY slippery in the shower and there was no ledge for your toiletries. The lift is tiny. There was the smell of sewer gas coming from the bathroom, but this is a common problem in Venice, since all hotels have sewer holding tanks. When you flush or shower, this happens.

We stayed at The Venice Times Hotel during the last week of December. Despite Venice being quite crowded, our experience at the hotel was excellent. The location is very convenient—just a 400-meter walk from the train station with no bridges in between, making it easy to access, especially with luggage. The hotel itself is beautifully designed, featuring high-quality aesthetics and modern infrastructure that add to its charm. One of the highlights of our stay was the exceptional service. The staff was incredibly supportive and helpful, providing detailed information about the city, tourist spots, and transportation options. Their recommendations for local food spots were also spot-on! Overall, The Venice Times Hotel is a fantastic choice for anyone visiting Venice. Great location, stylish ambiance, and outstanding hospitality—highly recommended!

A charming and small hotel, very conveniently located near the station (if you know Venice, access to hotels can be a major issue, even under normal circumstances, especially with suitcases). The room was cozy and perfect for families, with two beds and a familiar, welcoming atmosphere. The breakfast was decent—not spectacular but reasonable for the price. The hotel was clean, renovated, and well-maintained, which isn’t always the case in Venice.

The room was described as having views of an interior courtyard, but it was on the ground floor with no real view—which was actually much better, as the courtyard was just a service area.

The staff were absolutely fantastic. Friendly, knowledgeable, professional. They could not have been better. The location was fantastic, up a fairly quiet street closer to the more local areas, away from the craziness of St Marks, etc. The breakfast was really tasty and fresh. The whole hotel was spotless and our room was exceptionally clean. Fantastic bar staff too when requiring a late night glass or bottle! Great restaurants nearby and only 10 mins walk to the bus stop in Piazzale Roma to get back to the airport.

Everything was fabulous.

The staff were 5 star all the way. Nothing was too much trouble and they were very friendly and courteous. Reception was welcoming and always available for information and extras. The breakfast was very nice with scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage along with cereal and continental style offerings (panna cotta was very nice) and lots of very nice coffee. For our room (upstairs in the no lift section) they took our luggage up to our room for us. ALSO no steps to get from the railway station to the hotel! Definitely will stay there again if we get back to Venice.

I can't really think of a negative. We had a small room but that's because that's what we chose and paid for.

Our 3rd stay here. This hotel consistently delivers high standards of service, and its location, close to St. Lucia station, is ideal. Staff set this hotel apart. All interactions were polite, friendly, professional and demonstrated complete commitment to guest experience. Our room was quiet, large, well-designed and furnished to a high standard. Temperature was easy to control. Beds very comfortable. Breakfast was fresh and with various continental options and some hot choices available. Restaurant service attentive and genuine. Hoping this won't be our last stay at this fabulous hotel.
