It’s a nice hotel in general, I like the tuna sandwich plus other options for breakfast! It was clean. It was more on the modern side. Seems like a very well established hotel… you can tell the people that worked there well trained

The balconies are not 100% private that doesn’t matter to everyone, but it does matter to some people. The checkout is at 11 but when I booked it, it told me 12.. and the pool was under construction that’s not really something to complain about because things like that have to go under construction and some point but I guess I rather have the construction pool workers being able to see me on my balcony and not people swimming so maybe I got lucky with that

I booked this hotel at a last minute to be closer to the airport to catch return flight the next morning. When we entered our room, we couldn't believe our eyes. The room was a corner room on the 8th floor (836 to be exact) with entire eastern wall being a sliding door to the deck looking out to the ocean. The southern side had almost a wrap around windows looking across to another taller hotel which had a deck above the garage (4 to 6 stories high) with swimming pool and coconut trees!). So, from the deck, we were able to see the sunset when we arrived and sunrise in the morning. Breakfast was the usual continental breakfast fare but you could also order hot items at an extra cost. My wife decided to relax on the deck viewing the ocean while I decided to take a final walk on the beach.. I was so glad I did, and I encourage everyone else to do at least once at sunrise, because I saw the most beautiful deep blue, translucent jellyfishes. Entering the front lobby was like stepping into time machine and be transported back to its beginnings in the late 50s! Location couldn't have been any better. We were able to drive up from Marathon to Hollywood; have a leisurely lunch and stroll down the boardwalk; and arrive at Sherry Frontenac Oceanfront to enjoy the sunset from the deck and walk along the boardwalk to Locura Marina Peruvian Restaurant, a Peruvian restaurant on Collins Ave, which had an amazing $20 deal for a dinner with a glass of wine, appetizer and main course. After a great meal at a great bargain, we walked down Collins Ave back to our hotel. In one short overnight stay, we were able to enjoy the best of Miami Beach are famous for! My wife has a bedtime routine of watching CNN but there was no remote. It took some time for maintenance to bring one up and synch it to the TV and I made sure I could tune to CNN. After he left, we realized the volume control was not working and we could hardly hear. I called the maintenance again and he couldn't fix it. He had difficulty telling us that we had to wait till the next morning for the day shift to address the issue. This turned out to be a blessing as my wife used my hearing aids as a last resort and found out how effective they were.

Everything was very good, the hotel has a lot of sports facilities, you can wash your clothes, board games and a piano. It's not a bad breakfast. There is a bar at the hotel and a restaurant. In general, I liked it very much.

very often,we couldn't get into the room because the electronic keys were broken. When booking the hotel, I booked a room with a balcony and an ocean view, but alas, I got one without a balcony but with an ocean view. Thanks for that, at least.

Large hotel with history on the first line. Room. Normal, nothing special, standard. We were satisfied with everything. Old renovation, but everything worked and was clean. Pool. Large, deep, lots of sun loungers (they give out beach towels with cards). Breakfast. Very good. There was everything you need for breakfast. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the juice! It is clearly not diluted! The employee brings food all the time, cleans up. Everything is clean and tasty. Not bad coffee, variety of milk. Interior. I really liked it! It is obvious that the hotel was luxurious in its time. I liked that many details of the 40-50s have been preserved. Beach. The beach is small, but it is urban, so we did not expect anything more. But Miami Beach is a separate story and atmosphere! There are many shops, cafes, entertainment around the hotel. The hotel takes a deposit of 150 dollars! Be prepared.

The disadvantages for me are the uncomfortable beds and pillows. For me they are too hard. No hotel parking.

I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel! The property is beautiful and has a charming atmosphere. The pool area is gorgeous and perfect for relaxing. I also loved the lobby — it has a nice setup with a ping pong table and a chess board, which adds a fun touch. The breakfast area gets busy pretty quickly in the morning, but a great option is that you can take your breakfast and enjoy it at one of the tables by the pool. Overall, it was a great experience!

One thing I didn’t love was that the closets had a bit of a musty smell, and the housekeeping service wasn’t automatic — you have to request it each day. Still, overall it was a great experience and I would consider staying again.

The staff were amazing. The manager Kay was very approachable and kind and Melinda and Romel were friendly welcoming and very attentive. The breakfast team were lovely. Alot of reviews mention the fact that you have to pay for cooked items but the portion sizes of these and cost is reasonable especially compared to if you eat out and pay tax etc. The complimentary continental is the same as most hotels so even if you purchased cooked items it is satisfactory. After our initial shock of the seeing the property and not wanting to spend the night after sleeping on it it turned into a really enjoyable stay. It is family friendly and if you are looking for a no thrills experience then it is a lovely find. The room was clean and bed comfortable and location is really good with afew shops a supermarket and accessible to transport links of you want to move around. We actually spent most of time relaxing and in close proximity to the hotel as it had what we needed. From entering the hotel and wanting to leave our opinion changed so much as the days went by that we intend to stay again.

The pictures verses reality are very different. Nothing prepares you for how dated it is but once you accept it its fine. It is in the process of being updated which would help if mentioned online. Not sure what the service fee is for. Yes there are beach towels and loungers but not sure why they are charged at the rate they are. It says includes cleaning fee but whilst the property is clean you have to chase getting your room cleaned so not really justifiable.

I enjoyed everything about our and my plus 1 feel the same way. Just in general it was overall amazing 24hr pool and beach access you can't beat with a location that's not far from anywhere and still has a beach view. The bar was amazing (especially the fact that the bartender came on the beach and served me a drink) honestly just the fact that the bar closes at 4 damn near makes up for almost anything music and drinks pretty much all night if you go out then need an after hour spot they have u taken care of

Justvthe mechanical issues with the air conditioner and mybtoilet backed up once but within minutes maintenance came and fixed it all

This is my 5th time at the same Hotel for the first time I got problems we get there on time rooms was not ready manager help us let us use the facilities and let us drink something from Bar beautiful as soon as they got my 2 ocean view balcony rooms AC wasn’t working in one of them get to front desk Madeline it’s the 5 stars person at there love how she deal w situation and Coco at the bar the manager of the bar help us with this at the end they got us another room got a beautiful weekend with you guys and we add another day Madeline help us with everything Love It and I will go back as many time I can we pass by littles situations but it’s normal from hotels but this Frond Desk and Bar guys the Girls at the towels and gym they are an amazing team even the Cuban Girl at the cafeteria love the hotel love the workers and I got you my 5 Starts for your hotel Madeline Manager of The bar Coco bar worker Cuban girl at the cafeteria The pregnants girls at the towels both of them are amazing too

I loved the view for the oceanfront balcony. It was amazing. I also loved when I put the sign to get my bed fix, they clean everything up! Thank you.

The breakfast was only bread, pepperoni and cheese sandwiches for the whole week we were there with fruits, cereals and grits/oatmeal. Wish there were more different items to eat. The rooms did not have A/C but we did have fans that were working to keep the room cool.

I almost didn’t stay because of the negative reviews. A few observations. The hotel itself is older; that doesn’t bother me it has a certain retro charm. I paid extra to stay in an Oceanview balcony, which has been renovated recently and was delightful for the price. It was well worth it. My room was clean and comfortable. The view was amazing and you didn’t get the sound of the traffic from the street only the beautiful sound of the waves. The woman at the front desk I believe her name was Madelyn was super helpful and sweet. My room was ready early and they allowed me to check in early. No problem and no up Charge. The pool is large and lovely. It was clean. It is an older hotel in the bottom of the pool has some paint wear which people might interpret as dirt, but you can definitely tell from the balcony that the pool itself is clean. The location is fantastic for somebody that doesn’t want to rent a car. The beach is great and there’s a walkway between the hotel and the beach for biking or walking. There are plenty of restaurants in walking distance. I am definitely coming back!

I really can’t say that I disliked anything. My room was close to the door for housekeeping so there was a little bit of noise when they came in and out, but I got used to it.
