We had a great time at the Vinoy just before Christmas. It was beautifully decorated in the lobby, and we loved sitting in the comfortable chairs on the porch having pre- dinner drinks. Also sitting at the pool was so relaxing . The location is perfect-across from the bay and downtown. The staff were incredibly friendly, especially the kind man who waited on our table in the restaurant.

The only downside was the high priced dinner at their restaurant. Also, I would add some warmth to the restaurant- maybe plants and comfortable chairs- to add to the ambiance…

Food selection was limited and quality mediocre. LYout of the property is very confusing with multiple towers spewed out all over, each with own elevators (which are tiny) forcing you to navigate a labyrinth to get from one place to another for example from our room to the restaurant we had to take a set of stairs down (no ramp or ADA accommodation there that we could find) hike down a hallway then take a ticked away elevation back up to same level we started but in a different section of the property we couldn’t reach otherwise. And although the room was nice it wasn’t worth the approx $500 a night we paid

Room was clean and neat, staff was friendly and helpful, everything was wonderful and food at Paul's was very good. I also had spa services that were amazing, a massage and a facial.

They were still under construction due to damage from the hurricane, so when trying to enjoy the jacuzzi all I could hear was sawing and this was at 7pm Friday evening so I wasn't expecting that. Also my mini frig wasn't working and I called for them to come check it out and no one ever came.

Beautiful, Grand Hotel and location is perfect for walking around to discover the uniqueness of downtown St. Petersburg, FL. Rooms were very comfortable. Staff was very efficient and friendly. They made sure we had all we needed and more. Hotel guest services reached out to me before the trip to give info on the hotel/resort and asked if we were celebrating any special occasion. I returned his email with an affirmation of our special event and we were surprised with a bottle of Prosecco and some macarons when we arrived.

They only issue I found was that although each staff member knew and did their job well, the different areas of the hotel, ie pool staff, house keeping, valets, even the front desk didn’t know details about the other areas. For example, no one could tell me how to reserve chairs at the pool. They could only tell me I’d have to ask the pool staff and how to get to the pool. Also, there was no direct phone line to the pool staff. Every call had to go through the front desk and if the desk was busy they couldn’t answer the phone and I’d have to call back. That was annoying and wasted valuable sunbathing time.

Size of room staff was excellent pretty clean food was good

Noise from elevator and loud people hanging out in the halls. Teenagers. I mean a little is to be expected but they were noisy and in hall for about 2 hrs. Bars and restaurants close to early. No microwave and website needs updates on parking

Loved hotel. Very disappointed that the main restaurant wasn’t open to celebrate my moms 91st birthday and no other bars to sit and have drinks and appies. Did sit at bar on Veranda but outside and too hot. But room was fantastic and ordered room service for dinner.

The friendliness of the staff, everyone went out of their way to be helpful.

The restaurant. The decor was not inviting at all, reminiscent of a hospital cafeteria and the menu extremely limited. With all the competition you have just down the street, I feel you are missing an opportunity to bring more customers in. Why not add some charm and coziness to the place (like the rest of the hotel) and expand the menu.

The food didn’t match the level of the property. We had lunch/dinner/bites at the three property restaurants/bar and all were blah at best. Had to send plates back as food was served cold. Kids pasta looked /tasted like it came out of a box. The food let down the experience and value.

Room was very large, clean and comfortable. Bathroom was very modern and new.

Just a suggestion that it would be nice if hotel offered local transportation service. I'm used to Opal at Lido Beach, they have a van that transports you to Armands Circle. Just a thought.

We have been visiting from the UK for years now and it has never failed to disappoint - hidden gem!
