Room was available when I checked in early in the morning....good. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The location is just three blocks from a Canada Line station. There are some quiet green areas near Heather and 10th Ave where one could sit, have lunch, or relax. There are shops, restaurants, coffee houses, on Broadway close to the hotel.

Not the hotel, but Bookings....I thought I included a breakfast when I got the room. It was not. The breakfast selection at the Embassy Inn in Victoria BC was better. While Broadway is straight and flat, the streets that intersect it go up and down. Be prepared to walk if you go off Broadway. The Vancouver City Hall was under construction as well as many other parts of Broadway.

Everything was great: the location, comfort, breakfast, cleanliness, and friendly staff. The view from the upper floors is beautiful! You can ask for more blankets if you think it might be cold at night, but I was very warm and comfortable.

It was a bit noisy at night; I kept waking up every 20 minutes due to a sound that seemed to come from an electrical generator or something similar. I couldn’t sleep and went downstairs in the middle of the night. The receptionist was very willing to help and offered me a different room on the 8th or 6th floor. We checked it, but the same noise was present there as well. I cannot wear earplugs for health reasons, but I had to use them as an exception. Otherwise, the stay was perfect. The built-in shower is quite unusual and, frankly, inconvenient for Europeans, but it’s a small issue and not the hotel’s fault :)

We booked the room with a queen bed which was very comfortable. It had an excellent climate-control system and the room was well appointed for our needs. Our room was attended to daily in a professional manner. The staff paid particular attention to cleanliness as the room was pleasant and fresh whenever we returned for the evening. Regarding location, this hotel was a short walking distance from our son’s apartment and it was easy to get a cab for our various excursions. Front desk staff were attentive and FRIENDLY. The restaurant had a good menu and we enjoyed the overall atmosphere.

I cannot think of any negatives for our 7-day stay

I've stayed here several times, because it's a good tradeoff of cost versus convenience when I am working in the downtown core (the downtown hotels are always terribly expensive). It's convenient walk to the skytrain, so stay here, by a compass card, and get downtown that way. There's a nearby grocery (ok, Wholefoods so still expensive, but at least it's there) and lots of good restaurants on Broadway.

We ate at the restaurant mostly for breakfast during our stay. The portions were large for the amount of food we normally eat. All and all it was clean, staff was friendly and would go again.

Our toilet was plugged upon our arrival, I mentioned it and it was fixed immediately, the staff was very friendly and responsive. There were no other issues while staying at the Holiday Inn, I would stay there again as the location is very convenient within the City.

Nice view, fast and easy check in and check out and staff were friendly. Good sized room that was nice and clean, bed and pillows were super comfy. I was right next to the elevators and ice machine but the hallway traffic was never too loud. Good location in the city close to a lot of amenities, good amount of parking available

Hotel is located near a hospital so you may hear sirens throughout the day, it did not bother me too much. All plug sockets in the room seemed to be VERY loose and there were multiple times my electronics/chargers would simply just fall out of the wall

I understand that many hotels do not use bleach products anymore. Especially on the bedding. That seems to make a person smell the previous person's odors, especially the pillow cases. The air conditioner had an unpleasant smell. Other than those 2 things, it was a great stay.

It had perfect location to the business I needed to go to. Taxi’s were right there to so getting to and from Yvr was perfect. Really enjoyed going to a restaurant adjacent to the hotel. I also appreciated the front desk going us a checkout extension.

The restaurant in the hotel was overpriced breakfast and service was lacking.

Great location with a lovely walk down to Grandville Island! Restaurants nearby, easy access to the airport, ferries, path around harbour. Room was clean and bright

carpeting was a bit dirty in traffic areas, noisy between rooms, in hallway at times ( we had doors between rooms on both sides where most of the noise got through)

Rooms comfortable and quiet. Appreciated the light darkening curtains...makes for better sleep. Fridge and HW kettle appreciated and used

Missing the microwave for leftovers when no time for restaurant. Don't like the #23 plus taxes for parking....I think it should be free to paying guests.
