Very well received at hotel desk: professional and providing instructions on how to go around the city upfront. Very useful information.

Room was good, but I had to touch base with reception because room was maiden up too late one day and not maiden at all another day.

Loved the location was so central to everything. Our third time to Amsterdam but first time in this hotel and we will be back 😄 staff so friendly and helpful. Room very clean, lift too which is handy with all the stairs 😅

The only thing we didn't like was the placement of the toilet roll holder at the side of the wall where toilet is. It's a tight squeeze as it is without having that right in the way.

Very central hotel, less than a minute away from Dam Square and around a 10-minute walk away from Amsterdam Central. The breakfast is abundant and tasty!

The breakfast cooked options are displayed beneath an extremely hot bar, to keep the food warm (see attached photos marked in a red circle). There is no warning that this bar is extremely hot, and guests have to place their hands beneath this bar to access food. I burnt my wrist badly, and I still have a scar, over a month later (see attached photos). I notified one of the waiters but he didn't seem to care much. He coldly replied, "yeah, it's hot". Unfortunately, I didn't get his name. Then, a chef came out of the kitchen and I let him know about my accident. The chef was very concerned and promised me that he will write a warning sign that the food is placed under a hot bar that can cause scalds.

I have stayed in this hotel before, so I don't mind the small bathroom. The room was spacious enough. The cleanliness of the room and bathroom was very good, I didn't see any problems in this respect. The location is really good, right in the heart of Amsterdam, you can reach everywhere in a very short time. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

As other guests have mentioned, the hotel is currently undergoing renovation work. I was on a business trip, so I got up very early in the morning and returned late in the evening, so to be honest I wasn't affected much by the construction noise. But again, even if you are awake it's not good to hear a drilling noise just in front of your window at 7:30 in the morning. May be it would be better to wait a few more hours before starting noisy works of renovation.

Breakfast offerings are exceptional. The Hotel Staff are professional and friendly.

I had booked room with balcony, doors were broken and unable to open, alternate room was not offered - disappointing. Staff were exceptionally helpful, knowledgeable and polite. Beautiful Hotel however the city council lack of garbage collection leaving garbage scattered in front of the hotel lets it down. No attempt by Hotel / Businesses to help keep the frontage free of rubbish leave guests departing the hotel navigating garbage on the way out. Would I come back? No... City Garbage is a turn off.

The location of the hotel is wonderful. You can reach everywhere within 5-6 minutes walking distance. Pillows, sheets, and duvets were all very clean. The room was small but sufficient for 1 night. The exterior renovation did not affect us. However, there was an incredibly intense humidity/damp smell in the room. The smell was coming from the shower area. We even had difficulty using the toilet. It was nice that you can drink tap water in the hotel and the coffee treats in the room. We had to ask for an additional duvet and the night receptionist was very friendly. During the day, they provided the opportunity to store our belongings after check-out. In short, it was a good stay, except for the intense humidity smell in the room.

the location is PERFECT on Dam Square. the 3-person room is huge and great, but the 2-person room is a bit tight. breakfast wasn't included in the the deal. we went to the hotel's restaurant buffet one day and enjoyed a lovely meal. staff was great and helped with needed blankets and pillows.

the couple room is a bit tight, but manageable. the breakfast buffet can be a bit better. some shampoo and conditioner can be provided, and not just soap.

The location was absolutely perfect. Right in the centre of Amsterdam. We didn’t have breakfast included in our stay but we did eat in the brasserie downstairs for breakfast and the eggs Benedict were lovely! The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Rooms were quite small we stayed in a double but didn’t really bother us as we weren’t in the room too much!

They were installing next window frames and so every morning we were woken at 8am by workmen directly outside our window on scaffolding, so impossible to have a lie in. We didn’t really mind too much as we were out early but a little later would have been better! there js only one socket next to the bed so if there’s two of you difficult to charge phones by the side of your bed.

Location is good. It is very clean and the bed is comfortable. The room (111) is quite spacious. The hotel provides good quality breakfast though the choices are not much.

Because of the renovation work, the balcony cannot be used. As racks for construction work has been setup, the curtain has to be closed 24/7. The room becomes very dark as if there is no window! The construction sounds starts before 8 every morning. Noisy! It is quite disappointing as the service by the hotel like providing suitable electric adaptors is not supported! There is no USB adaptor in the room.

I loved the location and the cleanliness of the room. I traveled solo as a female and felt super safe not only in the hotel but walking around the area of the hotel during the day as well as the night. The area is always buzzing with people so you never feel alone or unsafe. Quite close to the trams and even a short walk from central station - perfect for day trips or moving around the city without walking too far. 24/7 reception - always someone to assist if needed!

I think for me it was quite expensive, not just the hotel but Amsterdam as a whole. Would have been nice if breakfast was included. I think overall it was a positive experience, I don't have many complaints.
