This medium sized hotel is on the edge of the central business district and so is a little quieter than a more central hotel. It is about 25 walk into the centre, however the hotel is 100 yards from the free and frequent buses into the centre - we never waited more than five mins. It is also 10 mins walk to a station which then gives easy and cheap access into Freemantle. The modern hotel is attached to an old building forming a restaurant. The inclusive cold breakfast was included but also a hot item could also be selected. This was a bonus as the hot items were imaginative and tasty. In the vicinity there are sufficient restaurants for a few days stay. The hotel is well maintained and the staff friendly, even though we arrived after midnight.

I have no complaints.

Bed was very comfortable, and there were multiple styles of pillows which i really appreciate. The room was quiet, and the curtains were full blockout. I slept VERY well. The towels were the softest, fluffiest towels I've had, possibly ever. The restaurant downstairs has lovely food, and the outdoor area gets a lovely breeze when its warm. While not particularly 'in the action' if you're coming for a holiday, it was perfect for a work trip and central enough that a walk or a short bus or uber will get you wherever you need to get to. I've already booked another work trip and staying here again.

One elevator was out of service. They had addressed it with a letter in the room, so I understood it was waiting on repairs, but it did mean that you had to time the elevator during busy periods (and travelling for work, I left a few extra minutes)

Standards of the whole operation was very high, no hesitation in returning, Reception staff well trained and pleasant to work with, as was all contact with staff, Any requests were handled promptly and efficiently, Room was very well set up, and easy to live in. ["In a previous life" I spent 17 years in 5 star hotel engineering and maintenance]

Minor issues only- [and I stress - MINOR!!] Extremely limited parking, but street parking readily available, no cost after business hours / free during our stay as the council is part way through converting to new meter and payment system, Only one lift running during our stay, understandable for maintenance works - but may mean waiting for the lift, Meals were included in our package deal - menus could be provided at check-in to save time in Julio's [the restaurant], Our room [808] has a bathroom door magnetic catch pulling out of the door [easy fix with an oversized screw] my apologies for failing to pass this on to reception for action, I stress again - only minor issues - which will not stop us from returning.

We arrived at night and were very well received. The hotel staff is very friendly and professional. The room is well equipped. The bed is comfortable and the atmosphere is very quiet. The hotel restaurant offers simple Italian cuisine; the food is very delicious, and the portions are simply huge, with very polite staff as well. We chose this hotel solely for its proximity to a particular location we needed to be near, but we do not regret our choice at all.

The windows in the room do not open, which would have been preferable. The quality of cleaning largely depends on the cleaner, but for us, it wasn't the main concern.

Very spacious room. Great location. Gym was good. Parking was easy - I used street parking 3 hours paid during the day, and free after 6pm. Very close to hotel.

There was no full length mirror in my room, despite many locations one could have been mounted. Only a small mirrror in bathroom. Bed very uncomfortable. Breakfast was different to other Holiday Inn Express - a bit of a buffet then can choose one item of menu. Coffee was not great. Also, staff on reception were not as friendly as I've been used to at other sites - did not volunteer info about the hotel - you had to pull iit out of them.

The room was large and very comfortable. It was clean and modern. Overcharged for breakfast but the reception staff remedied that after I brought it to their attention. A tip, don't get your own coffee from the dispensing machine unless you are buying the continental breakfast. If you do, you will be charged for a full continental breakfast on top of what you order from the menu!

No onsite parking, although it is a 5 minute walk to a paid car park at $25 per day.

Beds very comfortable staff lovely and very clean

Very disappointed with breakfast waited hour and 5 minutes for eggs benny and french toast there were 6 tables so not that busy. When we finally got it french toast was stone cold bacon hot and my eggs on the benny were cold to😔really put a dampener on our stay. I manage a cafe so I know it gets stressful but their time management is very bad for customers 😬

The room was basic but clean, there is no mini bar but the restaurant downstairs “Julio’s” is licensed and the food & dinner service was brilliant, the bed was super comfy, breakfast staff were definitely not as personable as the evening staff, in fact quite unwelcoming. The front desk staff on arrival and night staff were excellent.

Verbally advising there is a charge to use your card, putting on the form you sign when you first arrive is IMHO very deceptive and Bookings.com should also advise their customers.

Well the room was bigger then most . Bathroom good size . Had all normal stuff hair dryer coffee machine ironing board and iron tv mainly free to air channel. Had apps on it . for you to sign in to your account. Nice Italian restaurant downstairs and breakfast was good

Well we when on boxing day nothing around was open.bit far to walk to city center. But that's not the hotel fault

Hotel is located very conveniently from everything: multiple cat lines and buses. So it was very convenient to get by. The italian cafe breakfast, where you order a different dish, was nice. Staff, both cafe and hotel, was very friendly.

The back of the building faces a huge exhaust/condenser unit so there is a mechanical hum all the time, especially when the cafe is open. Some people could ignore the noise, but I couldn’t till checkout. The duvet cover smelled a bit at the edge on the first day and it lasted through our stay. They either didn’t change the duvet cover everyday when cleaning or there’s issue with laundry line? Wifi was very slow.
