Located in a good district with many restaurants around. Mostly Vietnamese. The room was clean and comfortable and represented good value for a city with outrageous prices. Small but functional. For the money you're not going to get anything better

the room is so clean and for 2 star hotel i recommend to people, so comfy and its safe too for womens. plenty eatery area. and 1.8km walking distance to mrt. i would really suggest this place

rather than asking iron and iron board to receptionist, i think they should offer inside the room

It was comfortable and the room was quiet and clean. Location was very good for me.

I'd have preferred to have a safe in my room yet the safe room off the lobby was acceptable. One day there was a lift failure and I used the stairs to leave. There was a crowd of guests at the door on the ground level when I exited who had not been able to gain access to the stairs because the door was locked. I reported this to the front desk and the attendant on duty was VERY RUDE. I said I did not like his attitude and he continued to be rude at which point a group sitting in the lobby who were also awaiting access to the stairs applauded me and said it was about time somebody said something to him. I think that person was unsuitable to hold that position. I also relayed this to other front desk staff later in the day. Some days the hot water in the room was only luke warm.

had great air conditioning and the staff were lovely. as first timers to Singapore it seemed to be in a really great location for us.

The bathroom didn’t close properly. And other guests were very very noisy early in the morning. Yelling in hallways.

Room - Clean and spacious (try to choose with window as for me its more spacious as I saw one room without window) Service - SUPERB :) Location - it's fine for food and a little stroll but its not walking distance to Metro/Train but near Bus stop. Honestly, I don't want to go by bus so I travelled to Metro/Train by taxi (It cost SGD 6 - 9 per ride going to Paya Lebar Metro Station. Note if you will request the hotel to book you a taxi there will be additional of SGD 3 so I would suggest just wait outside). *Near Restaurants are still close around 10am *Paya Lebar Metro Station is good location as its with Circle Line and Green Line (forgot the name though) WIFI - I got worried about it as I read a lot of comments that it is slow but during my stay it worked great. Additional: - No bidet (this is for those who are normally using it) I'm working in Middle East so it's little sad for me as I'm used to it but it's not common in SG so its fine :) - There's Hair Blower :) - You can borrow iron from the reception - AC is good

The sounds of the doors closing is really loud. Not on purpose but somehow it’s the mechanism of it.

There was no breakfast. But I think the location was very good. In our whole trip, we only had to walk to the nearest bus / train station beyond 15 mins once (Eunos Stn). All the rest were 1-10 minutes away. But more importantly I like the vibe of the hotel overall both inside and outside. The room is not too big, but it's just right and have enough space for luggages and has a place to hang clothes. It's bright, well kept, easy to check in and out, friendly staff, free water refill station (though you can drink the one frim the faucet), hair dryer, coffee maker and the hotel cleaners seamlessly fixed the room when we hanged the make-up sign. There's also a small ref enough for perishable items and TV to immerse with on some local channels. Towels are there, with the toothbrush kits, big mirrors. Toilet was very classy. Cozy lobby. The exterior of the building was also pretty and welcoming, surrounded with lots of restaurants offering local cuisine. Being at center of Joo Chiat which is itself touristy but just chill unlike in the CBD. And there's a lot of bars nearby too if you're the party-type. 24/7 Fair Price grocery in Joo Chiat Complex 10-15mins walk away. Hawker center right in front of the complex (even though the Geylang Serai was under construction during our stay).

The ref while still functional is a bit rusty at the bottom and one TV channel didn't have a visual, while another channel didn't have audio. But to me these are very minor and overall are very tolerable. The rust in the ref even looked like a design forming a city-scape. I'm coming back in this hotel when I get the chance.

Ibis budget Singapore style. Still basic and budget. As expected. Location in lovely heritage area close to airport but a bit of a hike by public transport into centre. Booked spacious room with window. Significantly larger than my previous ibis budget. Clean comfy bed and linens. Staff helpful and friendly. Air conditioning quiet and effective Water cooler on ground floor much appreciated. Minor points. Wifi sketchy. Hasn’t been a problem elsewhere. Unfortunately my room had a room adjoining door with zero sound isolation. If anything magnified sound of everything in the adjoining room. Plus would suggest that chairs in room have some sound cushioning as the room above was constantly screeching the chairs on the floor. So easy to do but comes right through ceiling. These could all be easily fixed I would stay again and would recommend

For me, the check-in experience at this hotel was good. The location is convenient—close to Geylang and shops like 7-Eleven. However, if you're driving, please note that on-site parking is very limited.

I would like to suggest that the front desk staff be more friendly and approachable when dealing with guests. When I checked in, two male staff members appeared very serious and didn’t smile. Interestingly, I noticed they were much friendlier to a foreign guest. As a fellow Malaysian speaking the same language, I felt a bit confused and disappointed. All guests, regardless of background, should be treated equally and warmly.
