Close to Hiroshima Station and tram station. Also within walking distance from the historical center and many tourist attractions. Personnel was very pleasant, albeit most of them didn't speak English (some did, but it was random if the person able was available). But they were willing to use translator apps. Rooms were distinctly old, but they were well taken care off and clean so it was mostly fine. The rooms were also quite large which was nice.

Some of the older equipment is... quirky. Took me a while to figure out the old shower-head. Minor annoyance though. I couldn't figure out how to operate the AC, alas I didn't ask and just opened the window. Frankly, I was worried what I would catch from such old AC unit. Fridge barely worked. Not a fan of the "plastic waste" filled pillows, but I accept they are the norm in Japan. I do actually like relatively stiff pillows, but these crinkly things, not so much.

A lot of reviews I've seen for this hotel describe it as "dated," which kinda makes sense. The decor in the rooms does give the vibe of an older building and clashes with the stuff in the lobby and breakfast area. It wasn't a huge deal for me, but it might be a turn-off for others.

Location was close to the station and also close to lots of good places to eat (there is an amazing restaurant called restaurant Grande nearby which had the loveliest owner and great food). The room was comfortable, quiet and generally in great condition. We had some great nights sleep here. Breakfast was a great selection, loads of space to sit and felt very relaxed. There are ice machines and places to buy bottled water on several floors, also microwaves for those interested. The hotel itself looks lovely in the foyer and the staff were very pleasant.

The water from the machines was chargeable as opposed to a fountain.

Very comfortable, great location, very clean. Best beds in Japan! Great choice for breakfast and very good value for money. Would definitely stay here again. It's 2 stops from hiroshima train station on the team and we got a bus near the hotel to the peace memorial. Tge Hotel was decorated very nicely, beibg very picky it was a little tired in places, but the comfortable mattresses and room space more than made up for it. I would happily stay again and would recommend to my friends.

An old hotel, but VERY charming…from the entrance of the hotel to the door in the bedroom. There were trams close to the hotel that would go to Miyajima Island. Everything in the hotel was clean. Breakfast had a variety of mostly Japanese foods and they were delicious. The staff was very nice and helpful.

The hotel is located in a busy street, and occasionally I could hear the tram screeching, but the sound was bearable because it lasted seconds.

It is located near the town centre so super convenient. And having breakfast with a view next to the river is a huge bonus. The facilities are old yet clean and elegant. (Love the vibe!) Staff are nice and friendly as well.

The wifi is not ideal but acceptable. As my time spent in the room was mostly sleeping so it wasn't a great issue for me.

Good location, street car in front on the hotel gives you access to everywhere. Bathroom were unlike in Japan-space, new and clean. European nice style.

The smell. First impression after entering the halls and rooms was “how terrible smell. The only bad thing in this hotel bad make’s really bad impression. I understand that it’s hot and humid in Japan and you can’t keep the halls airconditioned but… there should be a way to do sth with that. By the way, 5 star hotel I stayed in Tokyo last year also had that bad smell of fungus or something.

The staff were a dream, very friendly and accommodating. The room was perfect, warm and very comfortable. The location is also spot on, nothing I wanted to see was too far away. The coffee downstairs was exceptional and it was nice to grab a good alcoholic beverage in the evening.

Nothing really. I guess some snacks could be offered in the lobby to accompany the drinks but they were super helpful if you brought your own.

The hotel is in a great location on the river and within walking distance to the Peace Memorial park, Museums, gardens and many great places to eat. The breakfast included was excellent and 5 star in quality. The hotel is very good value for money.

It was charming and the staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly. We asked if they would store our bags for a day which they were happy to do. Whilst the hotel is not the most modern, we found it the perfect place to stay for a night.
