The location was perfect for us. A short walk to the Peace Park and Museum along with the other attractions we were interested in. The reception staff were fabulous and the main reason I've given the rating I have. The hotel was generally clean and tidy.

The pictures didn't reflect the room we were given, with additional furniture that was not only pointless but made a small room even smaller. The bed was comfortable enough but only 1 pillow each, which was so flat it wasn't worth using, and resulted in both of us having unnecessary aches and pains and a poor night's sleep.

Really easy to get to/from Hiroshima Station, just a street car ride away. Great amenities. Laundery, a great onsen bath and a massage chair in a room with a good manga library. Decent way to recoup after lots of days walking. Konbini right next door. Nice 10 minute walk from the Peace Park, Memorial Museum and the Atomic Dome. Very easy access to the Aquanet ferry to Miyajima. Would absolutely stay here again.

We had a twin and only stayed a night so it didn't really effect us but the room was pretty small for a twin. I was thankful we didn't have the majority of our luggage with us. I wouldn't let this dissuade me from staying again though, I would just get a different room.

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Kuretakeso Hiroshima Otemachi! The room was well-organized and made great use of space, which made the stay very comfortable. Everything was thoughtfully arranged, so it never felt cramped despite the compact size—definitely a great use of the room layout! The location is also ideal—within walking distance to key attractions, shops, and restaurants, which made it super convenient for exploring Hiroshima. Whether you're heading to the Peace Memorial Park or looking for a great local meal, it's all just a short stroll away. A fun bonus was the free happy hour drinks—a perfect way to unwind after a day of sightseeing. It was a lovely touch that made the experience feel even more special. The check-out process was seamless and hassle-free, which is always a nice way to end a stay. No long waits or complicated steps—just quick and efficient. Overall, this hotel offers great value, an excellent location, and thoughtful touches that made our stay enjoyable. Highly recommend it for anyone visiting Hiroshima!

The location was awesome, very close to all the major attractions and a lot of shopping and restaurants around. The room itself was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast always exceptional, some new options every morning and everything we tried was delicious. They had a mix of Japanese breakfast items and more western breakfast items too. The staff were great and check-in/check-out was very simple. There is a 7/11 on one side of the building and a Lawson on the other side which is awesome as well as vending machines within the building. Laundry facilities were also really good with a note to coin exchanger within the laundry room as the machines only take 100 yen coins. If you’re looking for a comfortable, affordable and convenient hotel, this is one.

Great location and great value for money. Quite a small room - but about normal for Japanese hotels - with en-suite bathroom, kettle and fridge, so everything one needs for a stay in this fascinating city. For a city centre hotel the price was amazing. The staff all speak English and were helpful and friendly; everything is spotlessly clean and the hotel is less than 10 minutes walk from all the atom bomb monuments and museum. There is a tram stop right outside which provides convenient access from the central railway station. Can thoroughly recommend this hotel for people visiting Hiroshima

Located around 20mins by No. 1 streetcar(tram) from Hiroshima station. The Chuden-mae stop is nearly in front of the hotel. A lawson store is virtually next door with a Family Mart across the street. It is also only a short walk to the Peace Memorial Park. The staff are friendly & helpful. English is passable but some things may require Google Translate. I had made my booking over 10 months in advance & unlike their sister hotel in Osaka they allocated my room at the end of the floor. No passing guests & away from the elevator. I was appreciative. My double room was compact & clean. Everything worked fine. Lighting was very good. The bed had clean linens & afforded me a comfortable sleep. The bathroom was also compact. The shower had good hot water & water pressure. Breakfast is 1200 yen but I did not partake so no comment. Overall, I enjoyed my experience here.

I LOVED the gigantic beds at this property!! They actually but a connector between two double beds and made it a single bed. It was awesome! These rooms had a little more space to move around and I admired their facilities for having ample washer/dryer machines, a roomy cafe, and an onsen. We stayed at four different hotels on our visit to Japan and this was one of my favorites. I loved how it was in the city and there were stores and restaurants within walking distance. The city wasn't overcrowded or noisy, either. I would definitely stay here again!

Well located with the peace park and memorial within walking distance. It was easy to access from the station with a tram stop just a few minutes walk away. The rooms were a bit small but fine for a few days, the beds were comfortable, the bathroom was adequate and amenities and sleepwear were provided. There was a microwave in the hallway on our floor, with a fridge, kettle and desk in the rooms. There were multiple convenience stores nearby. The included breakfast was very tasty and there was a free drink in the evening. The staff were all very helpful and friendly.

Under the bed was very dusty however the rest of the room was clean. Breakfast was a bit crowded at times with a smaller variety.

Nice hotel, very convenient walking distance to the Peace Memorial Park, and also the fast ferry to Miyajima. Staff was helpful, stored our bags (and many others') after our early arrival. Also printed a document for me! Breakfast was good, many options, Japanese and western style. Ice machine in kitchen area available all hours. Room very comfortable, not very large but fine. TV premium channels cost 1000 yen per day, sold from a machine. We just watched Japanese baseball and sumo on rhe the free channels.

Staff was helpful and very welcoming, especially at check in and breakfast time. The hotel is located close to the street car lines for easy transit to the Atomic Bomb Dome and Peace Park. The room was very clean, but small. Easy access from Hiroshima Airport or public transportation, even for first time travelers to Japan.

Small room and bathroom. Shower was very small and might not be easy to use for first time travelers to Japan. The HVAC fan is directly over the bed, and the noise from the fan can be annoying when trying to go to sleep. However, the HVAC unit maintains a comfortable room temperature, despite the noise. It would be nice if the room had USB-C ports for charging.
