Really nice little hotel right in the center of Hiroshima. The hotel is a bit older and the facilities are not the most modern, but it is comfortable and has everything you need. The room was quiet and cozy, and the employees were friendly and allowed us to check in a few hours early. Very good location, just a few minutes walk from the Peace Memorial park, and a lot of good restaurants around.

The wifi didn't work very well. Good enough to send texts and emails but was too slow to use the internet.

It was close to the Peace Park and the Atomic Bomb Memorial. We were able to store our luggage for a few hours after checking out.

When we arrived in the early afternoon the door was unlocked to the building, but there wasn't anyone to check us in. We finally left our luggage behind the counter with a note and went exploring for a few hours. Upon returning there was a person at reception.

No Wi-Fi in bedrooms, only reception area on ground floor. Only one shower for whole building (located on ground floor). One toilet per floor (4 floors I believe)

There is only one shared shower room for the entire building. The cleanliness was acceptable but could have been better. 10am is too early of a checkout time considering there is very little to do to turn the rooms over for the next person. I wish there were shared resources like a refrigerator and microwave since they aren't available in the rooms. Towels were of poor quality. My teapot was dirty and my cups were very dusty.

Great location and friendly host.

No breakfast was offered (reason to stay at Ryokan was to have traditional Japanese breakfast) Bathroom facilities on different level amd were a bit smelly. No natural light at all in room. The rooms smelt musty because no natural light or airflow. Unfortunately won't rebook there on next trip.
