The hotel is great! It's 3 minutes walking distance from Kyoto Station. It has also a 7-Eleven and a Lawson nearby, not counting on the many stores (like Don Quijote) that are in front, at Avanti Mall. It's also near Aeon Mall (if you like games). The staff was always super friendly. The check-in and out were super smooth, actually they're done through a machine at the reception and the staff will help you. One weird thing was having to pick some toiletries at the reception every day you want them. The hotel has everything you need, bending machines, washing machines, you can read manga, maps, many things. Great place!

Not that I didn't like it at all, but it's a local thing, the bathroom was a little small for my taste. But it was fully functional, clean and nice.

Although the hotel is very close to Kyoto station (2 minutes), it was very quiet there at night, so I could leave the window open (my room was facing the car park). You are not overrun by crowds like in more touristic neighbourhoods in the city The transport connections for long-distance trains, but also for local public transport is very good. nearest mini market is 1 minute away The bed was very comfortable There are charging cables for electronic devices laundry room with washing mashines guests were allowed to use the Onsen until late at night and also in the early morning between six and nine

My room was very small. I had hardly any room to move around and had difficulty fitting my large suitcase. There was only a small wardrobe with a few hangers to hang up your clothes. (for smokers only: air extraction in the smoking room was awful)

Hotel is 1 street from Kioto Station. So it is easy to access. The room is fine for one person. Has enough thinks for a confortable stay. The breakfast (pay additional) is a buffet. For western persons there is not too much options, but is enough. The auto self checking machine are not intuitive a you expend a large time trying to made the checkin. The room have a razonable space and welcome items.

Checking system machines are not intuitive. Although there are assistant personal, is could be better to make the checking directly with this staff. However, they limit to explain the machine. My room has views to the street. The windows don't isolate the street sound very well. It is not totally uncomfortable. but you can fell the trains and buses of the station and street.

The location was amazing! Just a street away from Kyoto station, which made my journey incredibly enjoyable. And my room had the street view, which was also great! Staff were incredibly friendly and reliable, made me feel comfortable! They even have Japanese sauna included during the stay!

Breakfast had variety of options which was great, but I couldn’t have most of it since many items had meat in it. It’s just a personal preference, so I wish it was more dietary restrictions friendly. Nevertheless, it’s still great for what they’re offering with a reasonably price!

The location is just the opposite of the Kyoto station as well as the airport bus stop (highly recommended) ,easy to reach the hotel without 3-minute walk. The staff are very helpful , but English should be strengthen for further improvement. The dining price is reasonable as I compared it with her counterparts in Porta.

The toilet paper is too thin, easy to get dirts. The rooms were fully occuopied all the time and I need to book it nine months before my arrival, it seemed to be a little too early according to my scedule. Forturnately, still my homecoming with the same room.

It was very clean and comfortable to stay there, onsen was one of the best hotel onsens we've had during our stay with a sauna and a cold pool and amazing cosmetic products. Breakfast was also outstanding. Also you can always check the status of the laundromat if there's free laundry machines at which floor. Excellent experience!

Might have been just a misunderstanding, but as I checked in with my wife, the lady at the counter kept on repeating that we only have one bed for two women and even drew on the check how we're going to be sleeping next to each other, and then she drew it again, and that was not needed at all, because we already know what we booked and this persistence seemed quite homophobic. My wife was upset afterwards. But besides that we didn't have any other troubles and the staff was always helpful during the rest of our stay.

Great location for exploring Kyoto - easy to find a train or bus to Nara or other attractions. Personel was very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and big enough for two people. I enjoyed a breakfast with plenty of Western and Japanese choices.

There are laundry facilities on three floors with machines that can handle up to 5 kg and accept payment via coins or Suica card. However, the dryer is quite inefficient. I had to run it three times to get my clothes dry. If you have a large load of laundry, consider doing it elsewhere.

I appreciated how professional, efficient and helpful the staff were. Always pleasant, always able to anticipate our needs.and requests. The beds and pillows were also of EXCELLENT quality. We were all tired from the long day of commuting to and from our homes to reach Kyoto, yet we felt very rested, thanks to the fabulous support from the mattress and pillows. We still have a couple more stays coming up at the Elcient as part of our travel plans and my friends and I are looking forward to staying again over there.

While our room was comfortable, the only drawback if at all, is that the room was a bit small for three adults. We understand that hotel rooms especially those near Kyoto station are generally very small but the excellent service and very high service standards easily outweigh this one drawback.

Overall the hotel is great in terms of location, cleanliness, efficiency. However, based on my request to get nearby rooms, they are not able to fulfil initially... one room in main tower and the other in annex tower. Even different floor we are ok but this is different tower. After request, they manage to get nearby rooms but i have to downgrade my room type. Is ok since i can be with my family.

room availability but this is not within their choice. However, i would actually be greatful if they could inform in advance when they know that not possible to be nearby.

I loved everything about this hotel. The rooms are small, but I really loved the Japanese culture of minimalism so I was quite happy with the size. The breakfast was out of this world good. This was the best food I ate in Japan, and it was reasonably priced. The location is perfect--about a 3 minute walk to the train station. Everything was so clean and orderly and we felt very taken care of at this hotel. I also loved the soaking tub in the room.

I have no complaints about this hotel.
