The location was great for this hotel. We planned a lot of day trips out of Kyoto and this spot was super close. The hotel itself is clean and quiet. The staff were extremely friendly and respectful of our stuff when they cleaned the room while we were out. Even though it was a small space we managed to organize ourselves and have a comfortable stay here.

The TV was wall mounted at the foot of the beds and took up the space to move by, which made it impossible to pass without hitting your back or partially crawling over the beds. Other than that the space was well planned.

The price of the rooms was very cheap. especially for the location I would not expect to pay what was about 50 CAD a night. There is a station to the south or if you walk north from the hotel a little bit further you're at Kyoto station.

I only have 2 negative things to say about the hotel but both are not a deal breaker for me given the location and price. The first was the bath mat given to me on my last night was dirty. Not a big deal as I just put it to the side, wasn't worth making a scene over. The second negative was the room's AC would turn off when you removed the keycard so when you returned to the room it was quite hot. It would have been nice to have the room a bit colder when you come in from the heat during the summer.

The hotel has a great location, it is a 5 minute walk from Kyoto station, where you can easily access subway lines to Kyoto's main attractions. There are also a few convenience stores nearby, as well as many restaurants and a mall. The check in was very smooth and our floor was very quiet. They provide amenities ( self- serve in front of the lobby) and pajamas ( unfortunately ours were quite small and did not fit us, but we did not mind). They have a small laundry room ( which can get quite packed) and there is a laundromat nearby.

The room was very clean, but it had a strong curry smell, we did not figure out whether it was because there is a curry joint right in front of the hotel or if that is the smell of the cleaning products they use. The bathroom was quite small and the closet space was extremely limited. The electricity in the room turned off automatically when we took out the key from the key socket, so whenever we came back from the outside (it was extremely hot outside 105°F and 90% humidity), the room was suffocatingly hot and we had to wait a while for the AC to cool the room once again.

room was clean, comfortable and conveniently located near Kyoto Station. my room felt sizable for japan with a separate table area for working or dining.

Although the location is convenient to kyoto station (which is what i was looking for), it is not a particularly charming area. There are better neighborhoods if you want a more charming and inspiring environment around your hotel. Cost felt expensive so I didnt feel the value for money was there since there are so many other hotel options. (but it was a holiday weekend so prices were likely inflated).

I chose this hotel for location first as I needed to be close to the Kyoto station and the location was amazing! 5 minutes from the station :)

I would say a few more hangers for clothes would be great and perhaps a selection of hot drinks from a vending machine. Otherwise, I didn’t use any other facilities and everything else was sufficient for my needs!

Love the location. 5 mins walk from where the airport bus limousine stops (near south entrance of Kyoto station). So close to Kyoto Station, convenient stores like Family mart, Aeon Mall and Don Quijote. Hotel and room were clean. We had no problems with the room size as a couple. Even when we didn’t request for room cleaning, housekeeping left a bag of clean towels and robes for us outside our door.

Surprised when they collected tourist tax when we checked in. Wish there were English movie channels or something. Anyway that’s all okay - no big deal.

Room was amazing. Very large bathroom. Very clean. Fantastic location.

The check out staff . One guy didn’t have a uniform on. Didn’t look like he even worked there. I spoke to him in both Japanese and English but he didn’t seem to understand. Couldn’t help with my luggage forward request. He got another guy who was just as clueless. It was disappointing. The location, room, facilities, cleanliness were all amazing. Just the check out staff were not helpful.

Being walking distance from Kyoto Station is the biggest positive for people comming off the bullet train. Staff was extremely nice, the rooms were very clean, and it was super affordable. I highly recommend this hotel, and would be staying here again if available in the future.

Nothing I did not dislike at all. Check in was super easy, and the staff was very nice. I cannot really come up with anything negative. I can't complain at all. I highly recommend this place for its location and price.

Very convenient. Walking distance to Kyoto station and Airport bus terminal. Opposite have ramen and curry restaurant. Nearby conviny, laundry mat and mall with GU and Don Qui store.

All is great. But the hotel's dryer does not dry clothes. I have to bring again my clothes to the nearby laundry mat to properly dry my clothes and put back in my luggage.
