Location is very convenient to go to restaurants and shopping. It is also next to OCAT which is great as we can just take the bus from Kansai airport to the hotel without carrying the luggage up and down the stairs in the train station. For people who never travelled to Japan before, it is wise to pick a hotel that a bus can take you to the hotel as the train lines can be quite complex and some of the train stations don't have lifts or escalators for transfer.

You can feel quite hot in the bathroom after shower. It appears that the exhaust outlet is not good enough to let the steam out. Also there is no adjustment for the shower head - it means that you cannot move the shower down a bit when you wash your hair. You have to be careful so it won't have the shower head spread the water behind the shower curtain.

Very nice luxurious atmosphere when we enter the hotel. Beautiful scents around the reception area. Staff were all very polite and helpful. I received complimentary skin care packages which was nice surprise. I loved the “Mist” shower head. There was a supermarket nearby which was very convenient. So close to station, too 👍

Room seems clean however, when I picked up something from floor, also picked up some hair (not mine) which was disappointing.

Excellent location, walking distance to Dotonbori district with so many restaurants and shops and the hotel is also connected to Osaka Namba station. This was so convenient for taking trains to explore the city and once we arrived, we just walked underground from the station to the hotel. There is a wonderful grocery store right under the hotel with so much good food, bakery items etc. The hotel itself is beautiful and well kept. Staff is professional, they speak excellent English, and are very helpful when we had questions. There are a couple restaurants within the hotel but we didn't eat there as we were outside most of our time. We absolutely recommend this hotel for your stay in Osaka.

Good location. Directly exit through the subway path from JR Namba (about 800m) . The closet station is Yodsubashi Line (y15) about 300 m. There is a supermarket next to the hotel. That's very convenient ! The view from my window is very beautiful. I love it !! Good pajamas, very confort texture. Big room, two luggages can be opened together at the same time.

A little bit dusty in the room. Otherwise everything's clean.

Breakfast selections, service during breakfast

When checking in, I didn't see the check-in sign and stood on the right side of the pillar and waited till the agent was finished with her work before proceeding to the check-in desk, another couple went to the desk just after the agent was done with her work and she acknowledged the other couple before me, I stated that I was waiting and she reminded me that the line starts on the left side. As much as I travel, agents usually are aware who is standing in front of the check-in desk facing them and would ask if they need assistance.

Overall great stay. Place was close to dontonburi with a 12 mins walk. Walkable via underground around 15 mins. Bus to Teppozan for the Aquarium is just outside the hotel. 10 mins train ride at JR station to Tsūtenkaku. Toyota rent a car is also just right outside. A few great places to eat with great reviews around the 400m radius Rooms were spacious and offered great city view no matter which rooms. 4A 2C at the corner room with 2 twins bed was comfy enough

Didn't offer laundry mat for washing clothes but there is one outside the hotel 3 mins away. Hotel didn't have much facilities. Hotel breakfast buffet was 4500 yen per pax.

This was my second stay at this property; this time with a larger group (7) - traveling as family. The exceptional breakfast, the rooms, the location (walking distance to Namba, close to metro access, literally right above JR Namba station)- these were all great. However the most outstanding part was the service delivered by the staff. Our next destination after Osaka was China- however half our group could not board because we had forgotten to bring expired passports that contained the 10-year visa we needed to enter. As a result, we had to scramble to have the passport shipped to Japan from our home country. With plenty of trials and tribulations, the passports finally arrived, but not without the help and coordination of the fantastic team here. I have to give special recognition to Ms. Kouno, Ms. Kawashima, and Ms. Fujioka who helped our family navigate the situation. I will always treasure this and Hotel Monterey Grasmere Osaka will be our go-to spot for Osaka for all future travel. To Ms. Kouno, Ms. Kawashima, and Ms. Fujioka: ありがとうございます!

The hotel is within walking distance to Dotonbori and Shinsaibashi. The subway is just nearby and it's convenient to move around the city and to walk to take different lines to different places. There is a supermarket just below the hotel and is super convenient to get essentials. and it closes quite late There are also nice cafes just below the hotel - Starbucks, Mcdonalds, Italian Tomato for lovely breakfast. We took the bus back to the airport which was super convenient, and purchase of bus ticket was easy. Don't consider taking the train to KIX airport as the Namba-Nankai station is way too far to lug your luggage and walk. Take the bus instead which is just below the hotel and it's super efficient and convenient. We love the location and the hotel and would seriously consider staying here again if we return to Osaka. What we also like is that booking.com arranged a free airport transfer to the hotel and it really helped, especially when we just landed and was unfamiliar with the place and it was sunset by the time we landed in Osaka.

The room was a little small with a very small round table which was quite difficult for 2 people to sit down to eat and also to put our luggage and move around. There were also not enough hangers. Other than that, I think it's bearable, considering the fact that hotels in Japan are relatively small.

Hotel Monterey Grasmere was very easy to get to because it is right next to the OCAT bus station where I've booked an airport bus limousine from KIX airport. There is a Family Mart on the lower level and also the entrance leading to the metro station. The hotel itself was very enormous and beautiful. You are greeted with a highly decorated highway and there is even a church building inside the hotel. The hotel staff was very helpful in forwarding my luggage to a different city. The rooms are pretty spacious and provided a lot of amenities.

Nothing negative about the hotel except you'd need to take another elevator to the lobby floor. The hallways on each floor, or maybe it was just the 25th floor was pretty hot and musty. Felt like the heater was on full blast during a 20C weather.
