Very clean, very comfortable, very nice staff. APA Hotels are high quality middle-tier hotels, and this matches that expectation, they have a good standard whilst maintaining good affordability. The location of this APA is really handy, less than 5 minutes walk from Inaricho subway Ginza line which goes a lot of places in Tokyo, and only around 10 minutes walk to Ueno station which is one of the big stations that has trains going everywhere, including a Shinkansen connection. Also Ueno Park is on the other side of that station and there's loads of cool stuff there.

Shower isn't tall enough so I have to kneel down basically (186cm). Breakfast in this APA is actually a voucher for a cafe, Caffe Veloce. It's less than 5 minutes walk from the hotel, but it's still not as convenient as being in the hotel. The cafe is a good little spot, and the breakfast is quite nice, but the options are pretty limited.

Really great 3 star hotel, rooms are small compared to Western hotel but very comfortable and packed with great features and services. Self service check in and check out, Microwave, kettle and fridge in rooms, really good sized dress/dresser as well as ample luggage storage under the bed. There is a little diner next door (Bibibi) which is a fantasic place to get lunch or dinner with an amazingly freindly owner and staff.

If you are not familiar with the way the hotel works it can be a bit hard to work out how to check in, there are always staff around but only one or two after hours.

Generous amenities of toiletries and fresh towels delivered and placed outside room door if one does not wish to have room made up as a green measure. Plenty of big umbrellas for loan when the day is rainy or snowy. Also ready supply of hot and cold water with disposable cups at dispensing machine.

Hotel has limited seats at the reception area. Room is rather small and double bed is positioned against the wall making access rather difficult to get into bed for the guest who has to sleep on the inner side.

The bed was so comfortable, I slept in multiple times. The room was really nice, with plenty of space for a solo traveller. They provided pyjamas (which was a yukata type robe) and an amenity kit was placed on the door every morning. The location was great (at least for me). It really depends on what you want to focus on in Tokyo, but Inaricho station was only a 5 minute walk away, which gave you easy access to the Ginza line. Ueno station was approximately 15 minutes away, which really doesn’t feel as long as it sounds. That granted access to a plethora of convenient train lines, and I found it really easy to get to and from places. Shibuya and Shinjuku took ~40 minutes on the train to get to, which wasn’t a problem for me at all. Keisei Ueno station was also around a 15-20 minute walk away, which made it really convenient to get to Narita Airport after I checked out. Overall, I would really recommend this hotel. The room was very nice, and the location was great. They also held my luggage for me before I checked in and after I checked out.

I didn’t have any complaints.

There are a few APA hotels and we initially arrived at the one with a similar name to this but thankfully they both walking distance from each other. Staff were helpful and friendly. I enjoyed the snack we were given upon check in. The hotel is very clean. There is a microwave, ice and water machine on the First floor (Ground floor). Fresh towels and robe were given every day. Rooms are cleaned every three days regardless of whether you request it. Walking distance to Ueno station. As a group of 7 (3A, 4C), we booked 3 rooms and one of the rooms we booked had a view of the Tokyo skytree. We enjoyed seeing the lights at night. Would definitely recommend it.

Not a bother for us but could see it was for others: Only one small lift so may need to wait to use it during busy times. Lobby is also quite small so no room to sit and wait if in a large group. Also someone was smoking at the start of the covered walkway as we approached the entrance. If you require more space, I suggest you rent a two bed room as their bathroom is double the size of one with one bed.

Excellent stay. Functional room, all the amenities you could need. Location was perfect for what we were after. Slightly out the main areas so nice and quiet, 5 minute walk to a location that had a few food options and a station on the Ginza line. Then a 15 minute walk to Ueno station which can get you anywhere in Tokyo and beyond, endless food options and the Ueno gardens. The housekeeping and staff were excellent and helpful. Would highly recommend, especially if you want a break from crowds.

Room was on the smaller side, but highly functional and the beds were raised up so could slide my suitcase under the bed which was a nice addition

The room was very comfortable. Although small, I thought it was also very smart, and I didn't feel it was cluttered at any point. Great sound isolation, and location was ok. It was a bit of a walk from the main Ueno and Asakusa areas, but the neighbourhood was nice, with lots of options to eat or shop. Very close to Kappabashi Kitchen Street, which is perfect for anyone looking to buy japanese knifes or kitchen supply.

Only comment was the single elevator. The hotel was huge, with a lot of rooms, and the elevator always took a long time to come or came crowded. I had the feeling it wasn't enough for the number of guest rooms.

This is a regular business-type APA, so if you have been to APA before, you know what to expect. Clean, neat, comfortable, easy check in and check out process, polite staff, all services you might need. The hotel itself is about 10 min walk from Ueno station which is perfect if you use Narita airport (Keisei Skyliner arrives at Ueno station, and it is only short walk from there). Convenience stores and cafes around, easy to navigate.

Nothing. The rooms are on a smaller side, but that's what you get in business hotels in Japan, so no complaints there :) This is a perfect stay in Tokyo for a couple of nights.

The room is small by western standards, but was perfectly enough space. Lots of room to store luggage under the bed and there was a nice desk in the room. It was more than enough for me. The room and hotel were very clean. And the staff were great. The location was nice too. I bit off the main area, but it was quiet and there was a supermarket and Daiso right next to the hotel.

The only draw back is that there aren't many restaurants close by. But it's all just a quick train ride away.

The location is great! I was a bit apprehensive having seen previous reviews about the distance to Ueno station but it truly is only about a 6 minute walk from the right exit. You have to realize that Ueno station is big with many exit, so you might need to walk a bit more in the station itself. This makes it a perfect location to travel around the city using the metros. Also room is perfect size for 1 person. Considering it is a 2 person room.. I would not be happy with it for 2 people as then it is much too tiny. For 1 though; absolutely great! Also had a view of the Skytree! I personally also never had to wait too long for the elevator.

Nothing really, I was prepared for a small room but for 1 person it was actually perfect.
