Location is great, quite close to the Ueno station. The room is just nice for one person stay, it’s rather small but good enough for myself. Cleanliness is a huge concern for me, the staff did a great job on this part. They put a small yellow rubber duck in every bathroom which really made my day. The bathroom amenities smelled so good and the staff fill them up everyday making sure that it’s almost full, which was very surprising. Would consider staying here again on my next trip to Tokyo.

Staff at front desk was hurrying my group to go when we wanted to take a break from the heat outside, perhaps it’s too small to accommodate that many people, so we left after she gave the “hint”.

I especially liked the self check-in and check-out feature. It was very seamless! The front desk staff even let me borrow the clothes iron and board for the entire duration of my stay! The cute little ducks made me smile too! My room was also made up upon request. It was so quiet as well. There were also convenience stores and restaurants a short walk from the hotel. I had to leave for Tohoku at the start of my stay and they let me leave my luggages with them, which allowed me to just bring a backpack for my trip. So kind of them! Congratulations and keep up the great work Ueno Urban Annex!

The pillow was a little stiff for my liking, but I think the Japanese like their pillows a little stiff so I don't hold that against the hotel. It was about an 8 to 10 minute walk from the Ueno Station and Keisei Skyliner station but really its no big deal as the walk to and from the hotel was always pleasurable! I don't have anything else to not like about this hotel.

The location is near Ueno Station and a few minutes walk to popular places in the area.

Having to check in and out in the main hotel is a bit of a hassle.

While small as is typical of such Japanese hotels, the room was well laid out to make efficient use of the space such that I could open my luggage without tripping over it. The room is clean & also feels new. It is nice they offer extra pillows. It is also nice to have a sitting area and microwave on the ground floor. Location is in a quieter part of Ueno with a little walk to restaurants and the subway lines, but not particularly long. If one takes the JR lines, Iriya Gate entrance is just round the back of the hotel.

Nothing really,

A single bed, just enough room for a solo business trip with a desk and TV. comes with own toilet and shower. Within 5 minutes walk to Ueno station. Room service (cleaning of room) is carried out daily if not required place 'do not disturb' sign at door. Laundry located ground level. 300 yen for washing, Dryer 100 yen for 30 minutes.

Room not ideal for couples or family. Although, hotel do have bigger rooms.

During my stay on Saturday night,there was a loud exhaust noise from group of motorcyclists at midnight so i found it a bit difficult to sleep. But i know its not the hotel's fault.

This was our first place to stay after arriving. We were tired from a long flight and wanted someplace simple, quiet, and easy. It was precisely that. It's a short walk from the Ueno station and a short walk from Ueno Park (fantastic!). The rooms are small but that's fine --- they were absolutely clean, well-equipped, and quiet. The hotel staff had left cute notes with an origami panda and a little rubber duck. A perfect start to our visit.

There was nothing I didn't like. I wanted something straight-forward, simple, safe, clean, and easy. It's not luxury but I wasn't looking for that!

Great location very close to Ueno station making it easy to get around. The lobby and elevator both require card key so the place felt extra safe and secure.

Rooms are just a bit small, but it is the middle of Tokyo and the room does not cost much.

Conveniently located - very close to JR Ueno , lots of eateries nearby too. Cute little touches like the duck they left in the bathroom and the origami and welcome letter.

There was a very faint smell of tobacco whenever I opened the hotel room. I don’t think anyone smoked there. Could be due to the ventilation vents.

The location is very good because it's near Ueno station. Most of staff are friendly and willing to help.

The bed is quite small ,for me ( Asian size) bed is not big enough . Next time, I should book another type room. But overall is good. Recommened !!
