I like the convenience of the location. Not too close to the airport but close enough to hop into an Uber and in less than an hour arrive at the hotel. I like that it has a gym albeit limited in its space and equipment but still much appreciated! Also easy access from Westlands to other major shopping malls, restaurants and entertainment. Good value for money

I didn't like that for the second time I've been given a room I hadn't booked for. It happened to me previously so now I book the family room so theirs no doubt what I booked and what I've been given at check-in. On this occasion when I pointed out the error the receptionist tried to suggest I had an upgrade, when what I booked was a family room but what I was given was a double room. I don't know why Ibis feels it's OK to not give the room that was clearly paid for. It's not a mistake and on this occasion I did not even get an apology.

My room at the Ibis was wonderful room with a queen sized bed, a table that could double as a desk, and 2 stools. The showers were wonderful and hot, and the food at the hotel was exceptional! Westlands is a very safe area to stay, and the hotel staff are so welcoming and friendly. You will truly enjoy staying at this hotel! I felt safe, and the area is safe. Truly a great place to stay!

The only negative was that the hotel is undergoing renovations, so it might be a bit more noise than usual. I stayed on the 6th floor, and the hallway outside of my room definitely needed a coat of paint, but the room was beautiful.

The rooms are clean, food and drinks at their restaurants were exceptional, the wait staff at Utamu restaurant were incredible, especially Gladys, Rhoda and Frederick.

1) Rita at Reception was extremely rude, unfriendly and dismissive as we were checking in. She upset me so much, I almost left immediately. Kevin at reception turned everything around for me, he is kind and exceptional. I am confident that Rita is simply the rotten egg in the bunch.

I had a fantastic stay at ibis and cant’t wait to go back. Beds are very comfortable. Staff is exceptional!!! Great shower with strong water pressure. Enough bottled water provided daily in the room. Buffet breakfast is very good with more than enough seating. Kenyans are the friendliest people you will ever meet. I enjoyed my time tremendously and was very sad to leave. They allowed me a late check out at 12midday free of charge. Hotel has great security too. Enough plug points and light dimmer which is nice. The gym is small but well equipped. Room top bar is beautiful and they play awesome music in the club section. Restaurants were fantastic and had some of the best food I have ever had. Try the fish fillet, its amazing.

If I have to nitpick, bathroom was a tiny bit small. I booked a superior room and was a solo traveller so could be a little bit cramped for two but for me it was perfectly fine. Would have liked a small fridge with real milk, not the powder milk creamer they provide. Cupboard space and hangers too little for two, but for one no problem.

A great location. A great price. Everything you expect from an Ibis. Clean, comfortable rooms. Mine was spacious. I booked a twin in case my friend needed the spare bed as she was on an overnight flight. The team working there were just fabulous. Felt very secure. Tap card to get into the lift. Then tap again to get into your hallway.

Nothing. For Ibis very good. Great coffee shop. Great team. They accommodated my friends very early check in request.

The check in staff was very sweet! We requested a late check out bec our flight was later in the day, and the person at the check in gave us extra time! Very sweet of her. The bed is very comfortable, with good amenities.

I was requesting to pay for my breakfast at the time of check out, but the staff insisted I pay then. Which was a bit strange. The kids club, seemed a bit forgotten, it was a nice corner but needed a bit more of attention.

The room was very clean and the shower pleasant and producing hot water almost immediately. The TV screen was big, and it was very easy to watch international news channels. The rooftop bar was excellent and a good place to meet people and invite friends.

The 'desk' was extremely small and the folding chairs were hung on the wall again during cleaning. Both the chairs and the bed were too high to sit on while putting on your shoes. No rack for a suitcase was available, so my suitcase remained on the floor.

Overall, good hotel of Ibis network with the quality you can expect from them. Nairobi specifics is a double security entrance :) we took a room for free, it’s very compact but has everything. It was clean. We used laundry service in the hotel and they brought us clean clothes the same day. Breakfast is ok-ish, not super.

Almost transparent door to the bathroom leaves you with zero intimacy, so if you are not so close to each other consider it :) We used restaurants both downstairs and on the roof, both are 3 out of 5.
