Good stay. Very quiet. 8 min walk to hotel from Term 4- or call up and get shuttle bus on demand. You can also walk through bottom floor of car park. Busy check in and only had two staff on, so bit of a wait. Hotel restaurant was nice meal and not overly pricey so happy with that. Rooms bit dated- but not an issue. Quite roomy anyway. Open air carpark- good for those with over height cars ( vans, 4wd etc) Lovely lady who ran shuttle bus

Airport, room, quiet

Airport transfer ‐ Waste of time and money as dropped us off at T1 arrivals while needing to be at T2 departures.

We were diverted to fly to Melbourne instead of Sydney at the last minute so we had to desperately find a hotel near Tullamarine Airport at the last minute. This hotel did not disappoint! It was close to the airport and a McDonalds where we could order food late at night. The staff greeted us warmly after an exhausting trip and were extremely helpful. The rooms were spacious and breakfast did not disappoints. Thank you to the lovely breakfast staff who were extremely welcoming and provided excellent service. Michael who drove the airport shuttle was also helpful- dropping us off as close to T4 as possible. We will stay here again.

Loved the staff ... very helpful and made us feel at home. Room service outstanding. Also staff very helpful when we left our luggage in the storage room, whilst we went to the city for a few hours. We enjoyed our stay.

Unfortunately, we we returned to collect our bags in the afternoon, there was a very long line of people waiting to check-in... we didn't want to push in, despite only collecting our luggage before departing, but there was no concierge and reception staff were flat out dealing with check-ins. Another guest has a couple of simple questions but also felt a bit uncomfortable by the situation.

Very good for a stay between flights, shuttle arrived 15 minutes after calling reception, then only a couple minutes to the hotel. Worth it to save some money but still be close to the airport. Breakfast was really good and had lots of variety. We ordered room service just after 9pm and it arrived in 20 minutes, the food to choose from was well priced for the location and was very nice. Beds were super comfy too! This is my first time staying at a Holiday Inn in Australia and I really liked it. Shuttle back to the airport for $3 per person is a good price and very convenient

The curtains did let a fair bit of light in at the ends but that is a minor issue.

Friendly, helpful staff. Stored my bag for the day prior to checking in and called me a taxi, even though i wasn't officially their guest til later that day. Loved that I could check in at midnight and out at 4.30am and catch the airport shuttle for an early flight. Shame I didn't get to enjoy the room for longer, it seemed nice. Mattress was comfortable. Walk from airport to hotel is also quick and easy, but crosses multiple roads (with lights).

I was a little cold during the night and there were no spare blankets in the cupboard. Bed only had one thin doona, no top sheet. I probably could have called reception and asked but didn't want to at 1am.

We recently spent a night at the Holiday Inn (HI) at Melbourne Airport and had a great stay. Check-in was quick and seamless, we were allowed into our room a couple hours early which was nice. There is a restaurant and bar on the ground floor. Our room was very comfortable, plenty room for luggage. Bed was comfortable, afforded restful sleep. Room included desk space, chair, fridge, kettle, safe, hair dryer, iron, ironing board, safe, telly, good lighting, enough plug outlets and good wifi. Bathroom was spacious and shower worked very well. Overall, this was a perfect hotel airport stay, room rate was very good when reserved through booking.com. Communication with HI just fine, we rested very well and left with good impressions from our stay even with the slightly inconvenient walking path between the hotel and airport. Would happily stay here again if needing an overnight hotel near the Melbourne Airport again.

The hotel is located around 7-8 minute walk from the T1 & T2 arrival exit. There are pedestrian signs you can follow along the street. You do have to cross streets several times but the hotel is in sight soon after walking the pathway so it is not difficult to find, just a bit inconvenient if you have lots of luggage. They do offer shuttle service for a fee, worth considering if not comfortable walking over to the HI on your own.

I have mobility issues which made climbing into & especially out of the shuttle bus difficult. The driver helped me then suggested I get the smaller shuttle bus the next day. The next morning's driver didn't take my request seriously which was annoying (he actually made a joke of it!) but the lovely reception lady offered to drive me instead in a smaller vehicle & she took the time to drive me right to the airport terminal where I received a special assistance wheelchair. I also found the special assistance room in the hotel very comfortable and relaxing and having room service for my evening meal so convenient.

In the special assistance room the only suggestion I'd make is that the bathroom floor can be slippy after a shower. Bath mat & extra towel on the floor before showering sorted that..

This is my second stay here. The staff at this facility are incredibly accommodating and obviously take great pride in their job. The restaurant matrade remembered me, and so did a receptionist. The restaurant functions as a fine dining establishment with the treatment of guests, food quality, and standards of operation, which the prices match a pub. The rooms are huge with a kitchenette, office area 2 massive beds. Location is a 10-minute walk at a slow pace with a heavy suitcase to the terminals, including waiting at every traffic light on accessable pathways or a shuttle. The parking is easy to use and $10 for my 1 night. When I begin travelling more than twice a year, I will be getting a membership. I have no need to stay anywhere else when visiting the airport. I love that I can check in, get my dinner, and sleep till my flight with normal check out at 11 a.m... and you can organise late checkout if you need more sleep.

I have nothing to fault other than the shower always gets a lot of water on the floor, which is a big slippery, but this could be a me problem

We booked in to The Holiday Inn because we had a very early flight to catch the next day. The staff were friendly and helpful - I needed to borrow an Australian adapter to charge my cellphone (which was readily available) and we asked for a wake-up call. This came through on time, with a follow up call 10 minutes later. The Holiday Inn was conveniently situated close to the airport and we were able to walk to the departure area easily. A shuttle service was available but the proximity of the airport to the hotel made this unnecessary.

Due to the above, we did not really investigate the area, make use of the facilities or even have breakfast, so it is difficult to comment on this.
