The hotel was really everything I hoped for and more. First of all, the bed I would take home with me. Best night's sleep in ages. The host was extremely attentive and helpful. The room had everything you could need, such as strong WiFi, kettle with ample coffee, a safe, many sockets for your phone ipads, etc. Choice of AC and fan and a cosy patio. The TV also had international English speaking material. The bathroom was bright and clean with a nice hot shower. The breakfast was delicious. There are other things, but you get the idea. All in all, a great stay!

Steven and his team were wonderful hosts. I had a less than pleasant arrival in Luang Prabang, and when I moved to Museum Inn I could feel the stress melting away. Steven even came and fetched me on his scooter from the first place I was at! The room was spacious, clean, and secure. It had both an AC and ceiling fan, and the bathroom was clean with a great shower! Breakfast was good too. It's a short, well lit, walk to the night market (under 10 min) Steven helped me arrange a day trip, train tix to Vang Vieng and back, as well as a taxi to the airport. He really covered it all!

.If I had to pick anything, maybe better soundproofing from the street? But that's nitpicking as honestly, everything was really great and I will stay with them the next time I'm.in LP.

Luang Prabang Museum Inn & Travel is a perfect place to stay in Luang Prabang. The property has a wonderful location. The breakfast is tasty. The rooms are clean. The beds are very comfortable for sleeping. The wifi connection is fast. The reception desk is very helpful. The owner, Mr. Steve goes above and beyond in helping the customers. He is an excellent professional. I am thankful to Mr. Steve for all the assistance he provided me during my stay. He helped me book tours and also provided me with a map of the city with a clear indication of places to visit. Mr. Steve was also very helpful with a medical issue I had. Our stay here was incredible. From room that was large and clean to the manager being so helpful. It was nice to be able to book tours through the front desk and pay with card all at once at the end. The location was great as well with a central location and everything close by. The manager even printed out some forms we needed for our next destination so definitely an above and beyond experience. The breakfast was made from scratch from a small menu you could pick each morning and included a plate of fresh fruit. Definitely recommend this location

Excellent greeting upon arrival and thorough explanation of everything happening in town during our stay drawing out best spots on a city map. Upgraded to quiet room after first night with noise and extremely good service all the way through. The receptionist guy even booked our train tickets at 6am when they are released as we hadn’t succeeded. The booked tours through here were well arranged. After having travelled for more than 3 weeks and stayed at quite a few hotels we both agree this was by far the best service encountered and exceeded our expectations. Minor detail but the receptionist even cleared tables and cut fruit when cook was occupied preparing breakfast for the guests.

This place is a real gem in Luang Prabang. All the staff is really nice, and the receptionist Steve is exactly the person you would like to find in any hotel. Besides being professional, polite and friendly, he proved to be really trustworthy several times, especially when he helped us to recuperate a camera we had left on a taxi by calling everyone he knew in town to find it. Great guy. Our room was really nice, equipped with everything you may need (towels, coffee, slippers, and many bathroom products) clean (everyday!) and with a very comfortable bed. Lastly, breakfast is great. A dish of fresh fruits served at your table even before ordering from the menu is just another of the gifts this hotel offers you. Then you can choose among several options, all well-prepared, for any taste and need. Coffee, tea and juices at your free disposal are another great thing of this generous breakfast. I would definitely come back here when in Luang Prabang!

The property is located within walking distance to the night market and all of town (10-15 minutes). Plus they offer free bicycles which make getting around town that much faster. The staff are extremely friendly. They are able to offer a reliable source and good price for tours, motorbikes and SIM cards but most importantly they provided us with local recommendations. We hired a motorbike thru the hotel for one day for $10 (they use a local shop that delivers to the hotel). We were able to charge the bike to our room and pay with VISA at checkout. The bike wasn't in great shape and when it started acting up the hotel offered to get it changed out for us. So much easier than dealing with a potentially sketchy shop on your own. Steve, the managing owner, is awesome. He was born to be in hospitality. He told us where to get the best exchange rates for USD and everything we needed to know before setting off on a motorbike to Kuang Si Falls. It honestly felt like visiting friends who just want to make sure you have a good trip. On our first morning, he just chatted with me while I waited for my breakfast to be cooked. Such a nice guy. Not to discount the night clerk; he was equally as helpful during our stay but a little less chatty. The breakfast that was included exceeded my expectations. It was made fresh once you ordered. Options during our stay were a large pancake or your choice of egg dishes (fried eggs, scrambled eggs or veggie omelet) with toast and "sausage". Every table was also given a plate full of fresh fruit and had access to fruit juice, tea and coffee. The water dispenser is accessible 24hr a day so we didn't have to waste tons of plastic bottles. The bed and pillows were really comfy. The room had a very nice balcony, mini fridge, an electric kettle, a fan, cold AC and a TV (with HBO). Toiletries were above average. They've really thought of everything and we would definitely stay here again.

Small words on the TV were a little blurry (maybe the TV is at the end of its life). But overall loved the hotel and Luang Prabang.

This is going to be a long review, but I need to tell how generous and carring the family and staff working there are. I arrived solo traveling with an injured foot at the guesthouse. The people there immediatly took good care of me by carrying my bags to the room and by giving me the closest room to the street. The asked me if I needed anything everyday and always had big smiles on their face when I got up in the morning. Because of my injury, I needed to see a doctor everyday for a week. The owner and the staff exchanged turns to take me to the clinic every single day of my stay without asking for anything in return. They waited for me outside the clinic and cheered me up when things were difficult for me. The owner even took me on a scooter tour around the city since I couldn't walk. I felt like they were treating me like family. I had to extend my stay because of my situation and the owner found a place for me when his guesthouse was full for one night. He carried my bag to the other place and told me I could still get breakfast at his place the other morning. Those are two examples out of many I could have given to show how generous they all are. The room was clean, breakfast was really good and wifi worked well everywhere in the guesthouse. Please do not hesitate to book here! The owner and the staff are the kindest people I've met and I can never thank them enough for everything they did for me.

Stayed here two nights and very happy with the choice. I loved the ambiance and feel of the place, definitely feel like you're in a special place with some history. The room was so nicely quiet, the bed was really big and comfy, all perfectly clean, great A/C. The best feature was the little private patio, I sat out there and read a few times (even in the heat), so calm and quiet. I visited in low season and it was a tremendous value. The had a promotion for a free sunset cruise with a two-night stay and what a nice surprise...I was given a voucher for the Sa Sa Cruise, the best boat on the river and not one of the cheaper cruises. Breakfast was fine and typical. Next visit to Luang Prabang I'll book here again.

Happy with everything

This place is very nice and represents an excellent value. It is also right in the center of Luang Prabang. But what distinguishes it is how helpful the staff is. Steve did the utmost to make my stay pleasant and address any issue or question I had.

The rooster next door is a bit of a nuisance.
