1) the staff, everyone is so kind and friendly. When we arrived we had issues with the flight (Turkish airlines) not sending our luggage on time to Beirut. The gentleman at the reception was so kind and polite that he understood the situation and to make us feel more welcomed he have us a room upgrade. A rolling bed was placed in the living room and my parents stayed in the double bedroom. Later I asked for some recommendations and again super helpful. They even gave me free parking. 2) the breakfast is currently not served as a big buffet, likely due to less guests due to current issues in this part of the world. Having said that, various types of cheese and cream and bread and eggs are served, if you ask they will likely be able to serve it. Again, very very very polite and helpful staff in the restaurant. I did not have breakfast on the first day and asked if they can make me an egg and cheese sandwich to take away, and they did! So nice of them. 3) the decor is really nice, an old European palace flavour. Excellent photos in the lobby and the rooms. 4) beds were extremely comfortable. I've stayed with various golden tulip hotels and their mattresses seem to be the best from all other Hotel chains. 5) 24/7 electricity 6) cleaned daily 7) free kettle, mugs, tea and coffee in the room 8) there's a gym which I didn't use so can't say anything about it, and a pool that I understand does not function in November as the weather becomes cooler. Overall, this is a great place to stay in.

1) the curtains had some stains on it, minor but can definitely make the room look much nicer if replaced 2) the location means that unfortunately there are many beggars around, a few times my family was more or less harassed by children wanting money. Difficult given that if you give it once they'll bring their friends and so on. Also once they started knocking on the outside window which in the restaurant asking for money or food through the widow. The restaurant staff were kind to our feelings and closed the curtains. 3) at times the door lock did not work adequately with the card and we had to try opening it a few times (room 202).

The Serenada Golden Palace hotel was a true hidden gem of Hamra Beirut, it provided an exceptional accommodation during my stay in Lebanon. The rooms were tidy and clean with a majestic charm. The staff were amazing and went to great lengths to accommodate my needs and demands 24/7. The hotel location is perfect for enthusiastic shoppers where shopping malls are within walking distance.

The hotel is a middle-to higher class type hotel, which is located in the Hamra district of Beirut. From there you access easily the Hamra street and a Spinneys supermarket is quite close. It is a big hotel with several rooms and the cleaning lady is cleaning every day (and puts some new water bottle, teabags, sugar,... and also fresh towels and linen) in your room. The room where I stayed was nice, bathroom was comfortable. The recommendations about what I read about the soap that it is sticking on your body is not really the case - the main problem is the low water pressure in the shower, but it is not so bad as described on the other reviews. I washed myself every day with this soap and I could wash the soap off my body (maybe I showered 1min more because of the lower water pressure, but it was ok). The room was spacious and had a balcony and an air condition, which worked relatively well. The receptionists were helpful and you could ask them for different things. I asked them for example if they know a driver who can bring me to Baalbek and back on the same day and they arranged it (you have to negotiate about the price of course, I think you could get a cheaper price if you stop a taxi on the street but it was ok). The price for the room was super reduced for my stay, thats the reason why it was worth it (around 70 Euroes per day) - this is a good offer. If it would cost twice this price would be too much, as on booking crossed out offer. They offer airport transfers that you can use. Especially for my flight that landed around at 0:00 in the midnight it is a nice service that you will be collected from the airport. The cost for the transfer from airport to the hotel were relatively high, but ok. Lebanon in general suffers several electricity blackouts every day and this hotel has well working generators that are working fast (max 30sec after the blackout) and supplying the hotel with electricity until the governmental electricity is maintained again.

Wlan was relatively slow and worked sometimes not, but it was possible to phone or write with people via whatsapp wlan. Breakfast was ok, not special.

Very nice staff on reception. Housekeeping lady from 3th floor when I have room - lovely. Always smile, very friendly and helpful. Swimingpool on the roof, breakfast very reach and ok. Staff waiters also helpfull. Hotel in the city center Hamra district.. Aroud shops,food everything. Distance to the sea about 15 min walking. Rooms clean and nice.

Excellent hotel. Great service The room was very spacious, clean, and had the amenities we needed. Although the hotel is located in the heart of the city but the rooms are completely sound isolated by double windows . The people in the reception were very helpful, not just on checkin and checkout, but also in giving directions to spots. You can change money from reception which is recommended to avoid using USD in daily purchases. Finally this hotel location is great since it’s located in the center of city . You can walk through city & discover its secrets & it’s very safe area by way . All cafes , restaurants are 5 mins walk from the hotel .

Breakfast was delicious buffet , they don’t have much options but it’s still good compared to room rates . Internet is very slow & disconnects all the time . The pool was not clean .

The room is clean and spacious, and the staff are very shearful. The location is in a very good location at Hamrra in the middle of Beirut. With 24/7 power, the 18th century room style meets the boutique concept. It provides many facilities and good value for money.

Parking is limited, but there is a valet, pool is very small, and it will be suitable as a thub or for kids. It provides soup, shower gel, and shampoo dispenser, which is not with a good quality that you can use. It is an old equipped facility that requires some renovation and some replacement like light bulbs for example.

The property is in classical style, room was big enough for 3 of us to put all our luggages. And we were at the hotel when the big earthquake hit, nothing fell and the building was intact so I guess that’s the best about this hotel. Breakfast was good, quite a few choices of Lebanese and western options. We love the lentil soup, zaatar and the bread! It was my birthday and we are so grateful that hotel staff prepare a surprise in our room for us! Thank you 😊 that was really sweet!

the staff was ok, not rude but not proactive either. Cleaning could be done more thoroughly, we found some hair here and there on the bed and in the bathroom when we checked in.

The staff were incredibly helpful on every level, made everything so easy, super resourceful with recommendations incl where to get a local sim and the best place to change money, incredibly friendly and attentive always, genuinely awesome people. They even upgraded me since they had availability which made a huge difference to my stay. The location's good ... lots of local restaurants and shops, doesn't feel like a touristy area, easy to hail cabs and walk to the sea. Also Beirut's not the cheapest place, but this hotel really gave a lot of bang for the buck.

Wifi logged me off constantly and I had to input new credentials. There are some indoor smoking areas and occasionally that made it into my non-smoking room.

Very nice place in a great location in the middle of HAMRA district. No power failure due to generator. Nice and friendly service.

the room cleaning lady removed a credit card from us, which we used for the light switch at the entrance of the room, so that the phone will be charged also when we are not in the room and dropped it to the garbage!!! Was not possible to get the card back...
